If you could afford a Freeman 47T or Invincible 46, which would you buy and why?

The Freeman with quad 450R's for the resale. Although from what I've read the Invincible handles like a slot car almost. I'll be honest though, if I had a megabuck and change to drop on a boat I'd probably be looking at a Carver or Beneteau Swift in the 47 foot range.

I would say Freeman. I have fished offshore in one out of Crystal River Florida. Nice dry ride with no tunnel pounding!

As Mike Kennedy said, no comparison! The freeman is a custom boat and you are dealing with Freeman. Invincible is a production boat and you are dealing with a dealer. Anyone want to deal with another boat dealer? (Rhetorical) If you call Invincible and ask, "what is the difference compared to a Freeman", they immediately get defensive (seems like they know they are not in the same class). As said in the video, you can't even compare the investment value. Freemans sell for more used then they did new!

3ft seas out of Venice in a 32-34 Freeman and it lurched side to side captain said can't use autopilot because of that . Gonna be in a 42 next week out of Crystal River will see how it rides
I own a 42 Invincible Monohull and a 47 Freeman. Would not trade either of them for anything else on the market. Sea Hunter and Invincible turn better but ride worse in a straight line. The twitchy side veers of the Freeman came about because of defects with Garmin and Optimus. Use Mercury steering or Yamaha steering and Simrad or Furuno autopilot and you're gold. On any cat set the steering pump and auto pilot sensitivity to low. When either zip wake adjusts 10x/second like SK "Ride" or when Ride is adapted to the big Cats the cats will all ride even better than they do already.

Seriously, they are both bad ass boats! I would take either one and be perfectly happy. They both have tremendous reputations but you would have to wait a while for a new Freeman. I say it's a flip of the coin.

Owned both brands, if you want your boat to fall apart buy a invincible. Want a boat that will age well, and not fall apart buy a Freeman.

I'm... suuure ya have. By the way, can you name one Invincible cat that HAS fallen apart? You know, as opposed to the Freeman that came apart, not because of terrible construction (you can't be taken seriously if you claim either make has POOR construction), but because of poor design, in the Gulf, when a charter captain was trying to make it back to Venice in a thunderstorm, but the Freeman couldn't get the bow down enough at the speed he had to run, (despite it being in the low 20's, fast enough to total the boat), in those conditions... so, he could not see the narrow remnant of an old rig sticking up when he got close enough to otherwise see it (were the bow not in his way). That may even have been what led to Freeman's somewhat laughable decision to put ballast tanks forward on some. Can you even name another company that has felt the need to resort to THAT? And yet, even before ballasting, one stuffed its characteristically thin bows off of Palm Beach. They are a SOUTH Carolina design, that also works in the Gulf (when not playing blind man's buff), but is not a world beater where there is significant groundswell to stuff into under the windchop... as evidenced by where you will see them most. They give away nothing on the fishing layout, though... except for the ability to walk a fish around the engines... which the Invincibles lack as well.

Nobody wants to talk about that, but the invincible cats handle like no other cat out there. Goes into turns like a monohull. Invincible over the Freeman for me.
how do you think Renaissance Prowler Cats fit w/these two?
Some of us are interested in fishability. One of the major factors is Draft since some of us use them for flats fishing, bay fishing besides Blue water fishing. Creature comforts for our female fisher persons as well. How about it? which one does the best in this as well as air conditioning and standard equipment versus optional equipment add on items.

I'll take the invincible because watching a boat review of specs isn't the best its watching a boat ride review of both vessels & is the key who's better & I see invincible has a smoother softer less impact feel on the bottom hull when slapping on waves! Oh & maybe this one might change since no ride reviews seen but let's see the new comparison ride! Lol!
You do realize Freeman is the flag ship boat for catamarans correct? They set the standard and everyone else is trying to play catch up. Freeman will always be a step ahead. Try ridding in one and you will not go with the invincible

Saying a freeman has more knowledge and history building cats is not true. Because invincible doesn’t design their own bottoms.. the marine architect that design their boat specialty is cats and been doing cats long before freeman ever existed.

@@johnparnell4323 this guy is comparing two boats, one of which he has never been on. Freeman has a great following and love the company Billy has created, but when it comes to handling, turning and bow steer, Invincible blows it away. A properly designed cat hull is not supposed to lean out like Freeman’s do. Don’t get me wrong, both incredible boats.
@@carsondeer7296 have you ever been on a freeman? There is 0 lean at all. I have fished on many Freeman’s and never had a bad experience. I encourage you to fish on one when it’s 2-4 footers and your mind will change
Invincible boats are built terrible. They blister and get stress cracks all over the place.
