As a person who has followed you for years, I can tell you that you have progressed so much as a rider. You are elegant and careful and you teach your horses to be as well. You cannot see it from where you stand but we can. Well done Meg!

The more she matures, the more Winnie reminds me of her mother. She didn’t really start paying attention until the oxer, and then she folded nicely over it.
You have the nicest soft elbows when you ride and the best posture. You have a good instinct for how to go over a jump. Trust yourself. You’re brilliant. Really!

Jam bam is on fire 🔥 🙌 amazing pony!!! She's full of beans because she's at her up most fitness, and she's probably feeling it! She's such an amazing pony she really is. You've done amazingly with her megs. You really have! 🎉 hats off to you all for the amount of work put into the ponies to get them at this level where they themselves are feeling fantastic 👏 xx

i get it now - i originally had the wrong attitude about Jam's behavior patterns in my concerns assuming it was her just attempting to be the boss of the rider when really i didn't realize she is more relatable than i thought. Now i get it, she is overly willing and serious about what she loves doing and she has the all or nothing mentality like i do such as a perfectionist. There is no in between , only an on or off switch. So this is a great idea you trained her with and i have noticed much improvements since this video was posted. Just like her i was trying too hard in life making things more complex than they had to be. I absolutely love and appreciate team work for it really does benefit everyone involved.

Well done Meg…I agree with Hobbit, don’t worry so much about what lead Jam’s on. She’s clever enough to either put strides on or take a long one. This is what these practices are all about. It’s up to her to sort her legs out.

Would you consider doing a video on the different tack you use for your girls and why? I know you’ve talked about your saddles, but I find it so interesting why riders choose certain bits/bridles/girths for their noble steeds. For my boy, if I ride him in anything other than bitless or an egg butt snaffle, it’s an immediate demerit from him to me haha.

A way to help with all the thinking before jumping is, sing any song out loud where you know the lyrics and if you can sing it without stoping while jumping etc than theoretically you will jump better because you won’t be thinking about what could happen.
