I think I speak for a lot of mixed people when I say that growing up we got made fun of and our identities were always troubled because we weren’t seen as “full” of whatever we were mixed with. It makes me happy that times have changed more and it’s seen as normal now.

I'm not mixed myself but I have a lot of friends who are mixed, and it honestly breaks my heart whenever I see someone bully them just bc of their blood. Even the American students (I am American too) thought I was a foreigner. I got confused for Chinese (i don’t get that one) Jamaican Cuban all other kinds of Hispanic. And kinda of African.
I'm a mix - but ... northern European and southern European. There is little difference but - it is possible to make out someone from Norway in Greece for example. Me, I'm just in between so when I visit my family from either side I kinda fit in and never get asked weird questions if I'm a foreigner or not, also it helps that I was raised bilingual (and now trilingual with English.)
My friend is half Greece and half Finnish. He doesn't look all Finnish because he has brown afro type hair and really brown eyes but he said himself that nobody in Finland has ever doubted that he is Finnish.
