Fun fact: Mrs Sandbert was a collab between like 40 different devs. Each dev made a different attack animation which is why the moveset is so... diverse......

I can't believe you showcased both of these characters at once. I made Coldwin, and Crest is my personal favorite contest entry!
Here's how Coldwin's gimmick works: You charge the bar by hitting moves with your lantern, and use Dspecial to activate an install when it is full. During the install, you are super floaty, and all of your attacks hit twice, basically making him like Jigglypuff + Ice Climbers for a bit.

Hey BSD! I'm the developer for Valu, one of the submissions for this contest. Thanks a bunch for taking a look at some of the characters made for this! The entire event has been such a cool experience and it's awesome to see it spotlighted from such a large channel. If you ever get around to it, I'd love to see a part 2 with the other half of the submissions; I'm sure you'll be a fan of my guy's Shulk-inspired mechanic!
The funny thing about Mrs Sandbert is that she was a last minute submission to the contest made as a collaboration between 40 different established workshop developers. Shes the comunities little abomination ❤

La Reina, Rosso, and Wren are the main 3 I'm rooting for, but there's a lot of other great characters I'd be happy to see get in as well. The community is full of talent.

A lot of very cool characters. I think my favorite is the bird on skates that attacks with traffic cones.

Crossing my fingers that La Reina gets in, definitely the most unique grappler I have ever seen. You guys should go watch some workshop tournament gameplay from her on the aether esports channel, such a cool character.
I somehow never heard of this contest until today, I would have submitted something if I knew ahead of time.
Yall did NOT show a lot of what Yono brings to the table. He has some Bayo stuff going on, which makes his combo game super interesting. He's definitely one of the highest quality contestants in the whole contest.
That duck at 9:19 with the cones is easily the one which has to be in Rivals for me.

You should check out more characters! Such a fun a video! Or maybe do a first to 5 in the end with your favorite characters!!
I wish they would just make Bat Bat a character. I still think the game play of that character is both fun AND unique.

The coding guy seems like he would be so much fun and such a high skill ceiling.
My personal favorite is Wally the narwhal
So these are the ones I liked:
• Backpack Crab: For the earth kindgom. They could add more sand based moves and make him a sand bender.
• Digital cat: An air kingdom member (since waifu travel through air and digital things uses electricity... ).
• The chain and nut mammal: They could make him a squirrel and add more metal themed moves. Make him a metal bender for the earth kingdom.
• Mailbird: For the air kingdom.
• The spider: I wouldn't know where to put him... earth kingdom?
