This song is so confusing, especially the chord progression which is.. Almost unknown to me.. Seems like they abuse the usage of dim or something.

I agree this is a masterpiece. I feel the ominous melancholic emotion in each portion of the song, they convey it well. Wonderfully made and wonderfully performed, this deserves much more attention from the music community.

A lot of tracks from the Monogatari series are amazing. Unfortunately, it’s not a very “main-stream” anime, especially in the West, and I think that has a lot to do with why the music (and even anime itself) is a bit under-appreciated. Such a shame.
The kizumonogatari series was a blessing

kizu and owari are good at introducing people to monogatari they are the best face of the series in my opinion

honestly everything from kizumonogatari was a masterpiece, but this was my favorite iteration of étoile et toi within the 3 movie arc. You did a fantastic job with this transcription!
that choice of phrases in the finale climax to balance the string main melody and the piano part, damn.

I have never seen this anime, and I'm going to state this multiple times but I'm not a very emotional person when it comes to really anything, I haven't had any trauma I don't think so I don't know why, I wish that I could cry at funerals for people I don't know and especially for people I do know, because I can't, saying that, I don't know what is with this song, the whole time listening to it i felt like I had a frog in my throat, like I was about to tear up for something that I have no connection to or anything, this is one of the most beautiful composures of music I've heard in my entire life, I was on Instagram scrolling through my feed and I saw a meme with a guy singing the et toi part, and I was instantly drawn back by it, Idk why but I found the song and spent maybe what I think was about an hour and a half listening to it, then I found this, and all I could image was this being play in front of a crowd, and nobody else was appreciating it as much as I was, and it made me sad but then I started to realize how unnatural this was to happen to me, given the circumstances and just the fact alone that this is just a song for an anime I've never heard of or seen, that's why I started to type this comment, just because I need to know if there's anyone else that was so insanely drawn to this song for no reason other than how beautiful it is to hear, during that maybe hour and a half that I was listening to this, I want really doing anything, I was just staring at my tv while it was off, it feels really weird. ( And just to clarify, I'm not one of those emo pick me boys either, I like to think of myself as pretty normal or boring in a way, and that makes it even weirder for something like this to happen to me, let alone for me to be writing about it. If anyone is experiencing the same thing as me, reply, I need to know I'm not the only one. That's all I have to say, thanks )

Anyway, I'm quite late to comment, but the original composers were Satoru Kousaki and Takada Ryuuichi, not Akatsuki Shinma. They both composed this under the label MONACA, with Satoru Kousaki as the main arranger and composer for the movie. Satoru Kousaki is the one who composed "God Knows..." from Suzumiya Haruhi, "Ren'ai Circulation" from Bakemonogatari, and "Fluorite Eye's Song" from Vivy - Fluorite Eye's Song. Honestly, I found this man is one of the most genius composers in Japan.

I've never watched this anime before but it sounds like a nocturnal piece, it's nice to play when your regretting something emotionally
oh you have to watch, go see the list for release order for monogatari, and watch the movie basicly last(which is from where the music comes from) or just go directly into the movies and then the anime, either way, it was so worth the ride

German Eagle don’t have to watch Kizumonogatari last, it’s meant to be immediately after Bake, that’s when the book was released. The they just took longer on the movie. Not that it doesn’t work near the end, but I think it’s better to add context before you get further into the series

I'm currently learning this piece, and I'm kinda stomped on the fingering for the right hand arpeggio run down, starting at 1:23. Does anyone have any tips on how the fingering should work there? Is there a name for this pattern than I can search online and find guides to do, since I feel this is quite a common play style. Song sounds very awesome, and the hard bit at 1:04 is definitely playable, albeit with some left handed jumps and playing some of the notes with your left hand instead of your right hand.
No one gave you advice, and I haven't touched a piano in my life so I can't either xD, but I hope you managed to do it.
@@piton7472 I have learnt past that part, just losing motivation to learn the last half of the song. It is definitely doable, fingering should be 5 2 4 1 and repeat

This arrangement is not my personal favourite, that'll be always belongs to Heikousen and Servant of Evil.
The dynamics and the amount of 'technique' used is astounding.
I wish this is a classical piece so that I can play this at my exam. :p

1. Claymore ed - Danzai no hana by Riyu Kosaka (It's pretty cool listening to this one and the tunes are pretty easy to hear out. Pretty much sounds like some fantasy movie theme.There's one hard part which is significantly *actually very* much easier than Liar Mask's one)
2. Mob Psycho 100 op - 99 by MOB CHOIR (Most hyped music I've heard and the tunes are very easy to listen except for one just focus ur hearing skills :D although the counting part dosen't sound too synchronizing with the piano tho)
