    6t1 = 5t2 =T
    T = 6*t1 =6*(1/3) = 2 sec
    T = 5*t2 =5*(2/5) = 2 sec

    Doubt: In the 2nd example. where we have a composite signal. Does the order matters? For example: x1(t)= sint + cost and x2(t) =cost+sint , are both x1(1) and x(2) signals different?

      To check whether it's periodic or not ....if periodic then continue with calculating T0...if aperiodic then no need of calculating T0

    in the 1st example why didn't u count the 2 below for counting omega..
    shouldn't it be omega=(8pi)/2???

      It's because the 2 in the denominator is dividing the entire cosine function...not just the angle.

      On working sin(4πt)*sin(4πt) you will be getting time period as 0.5. 0.5 is also a time period but not fundamental time period(fundamental time period as in video is 0.25 and 0.5=2x0.25). While solving we must try to reduce the given term as nonsquare (as in this case), if we are not able to do so we can then follow the conventional method.

    in the second example we can just get the GCF of the 2 omega ( 5 and 6) which will give us 1 and then use that gcf in calculating the time.

      Can you write the whole problem please? What you want from x(t) = 2cos(2t+pi/5)
      If you want to calculate fundemental period of this signal it is easy to see actually fundemental period of this signal is 2pi/2 which means 1

      try plotting that waveform 3cos(5x+pi/6) in some online graph plotter like fooplot.com. the signal appears to be periodic.

      We are trying to find LCM of (1/3 & 2/5) and that's equal to LCM(1&2) / HCF of (3&5)
      ✓Numbers inside the brackets are different
