i went back in 97 to universal studios as part of an end of the year school field tripand i got to see it from the hard rock cafe balcony, man, such great memories, the 90s were just awesome
Oh, I got to go in March and April of 2005, I think I went on April 17, 2005. And I got to short tour cause they had shortened it in 2001, so just Game lab. But I’m glad I still went cause i go to the studio like In late 2005 just to find out that they had vacated the building months before. I was so disappointed but I got to sneak on the balcony at the time and see the wild thornberrys murals, and one door was unlocked, so I actually got to open the door and take a phew steps inside. Nothing much but it was kinda creepy being in there. It was kinda a childhood that was abandoned, I only got to the indoor hallway inside till I decided to exit the building. I would’ve explored the whole building but I thought I would get in trouble which I’m sure I would’ve.
It makes me sad to see what it's become now...I wish they could've turned it into a Nick museum or something rather than shutter it completely once stuff stopped really being produced there...I mean, historical value.
I'm sad. Why? I was born in 1997. I never got to experience the old Nickelodeon. The good Nickelodeon. However, there was a channel specifically geared towards Family Double Dare, Figure it Out and all the classics provided by our Cable company. It eventually went down. It's disappointing; I feel like they've taken away history for younger generations. They'll never know Rugrats or, the Wild Thornberries or even Rocko's Modern Life. It's a shame. I'm just glad I got to see them while I could.
this makes me sad. i remember when i was like 4, and i asked my mom if we could go to nickelodean studios, and she told me that we would go one day...we never went :'(
@hempfreak69 Aw i would have teared up if i saw that there. I was a kid myself and i use to watch Nick during every summer. Now it's gone like are you afraid of the dark, Salute your shorts, And they won't even release them on DVD. We want our shows on DVD.
how sad,i remember watching rocketpower,Kennal and Kel and other programs that where awesome back then. I was only like 7 or something and i loved to see all those cartoons and stuff damn good time:(...TV now sucks and its not funny at all. I almost cried watching this. What happened to the capsule i wonder whats inside of there :).
+Wesley Creekmore yeah what do you think they were going to throw away the big Nickelodeon sign?! In a video it said and im copying the exactly same words he said "Over 2000 props were sold off even the signs"

Blue Man group. What a waste of an iconic building from our childhood.
The kids like me grow up and they closed it all down.
The railing on the 2nd floor balcony of the studios is still painted orange too.
