I have two questions about the gems 1. what do the predators get out of hunting the gems? does the gem fluid have any benefits for the risk Like salt? Nutrients? Or are they attracted to the lights the gems emit 2. How do the gems communicate to each other? Can they create Pacific vibrations that they can understand? Or do they emit different levels of light that they can understand? Or something difference
Thanks for asking! 1. These predators would have a very similar biology to gems themselves, and they either gain access to nutrient rich soil the gems may have wanted to use for spawning, or by breaking down the gems they obtain nutrients for their offspring! 2. Communication would mostly be a mix of tactile and visual, through a mix of solid light and photon emission towards other gems!
great video, I loved it! It took me a little while to understand it, it's quite complex, but that makes it more interesting. This reminded me that quite a while ago I suggested that you make a video reimagining some Digimon, and perhaps the whole concept of the body created from light energy could facilitate things like the drastic changes in shape that a Digimon usually has when evolving, in addition to being the closest that could be made biologically to a digital being. Thanks so much for reading. Have a nice day!😊

While im not a fan of the show, this is a great reimagining of the gems. There are still a lot of great franchises out there with humanoids and/or magical creatures i would like to see, like the boys (supes), mortal kombat (Outworlders/Edenians), and James Cameron's Avatar (Na'vi). Edit: another idea i have would be to make fight analysis videos. Pit two of your creations against each other and analyze their offensive and defensive adaptations and how they would fare against the other. Then narrate how a death match would likely occur between them and determine a winner. You can then finish it off explaining how a more realistic confrontation between the combatants would occur. Some match ups you could do include godzilla vs ghidorah, sonic vs scp 173, and wolf baboon vs vampire (the flightless bat version)
Glad you enjoyed it! And that idea is awesome, it could definitely be fun to analyze the difference between a somewhat forced cinematic fight and a real life fight would go between these creatures!

Can you try to do Dragonborn from dungeons and dragons? Intelligent Dron creatures, which means that they’re either closely related to Komodo dragons or crocodilian. With each other and intelligent and crafts. They also have the ability to blast elemental forces, maybe like fire, but also cold acid, maybe you can actually make that something different than just normal draconic breath like it’s a cultural thing that varies amongst individual clans, that comes from alchemic or something things that they chew and spit out.

I have absolutely no clue what I just saw. This has to be by far the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever reimagined on the channel. I don’t watch Steven Universe so I didn’t really get much of it (I also was unaware of it being LGBTQ+) but even from my perspective this was pretty interesting and it’s nice to see another alien society on the channel. Which leads me to my big surprise I have. Lo and behold: The Transformers. As we looked out into the universe for life we found several examples of such exotic lifeforms. Colossal beings like the Ghidorah and curious oddities like the Grey Aliens are but a couple. We wished for us to be able to form a proper union with another sapient species out there in the cosmos. You know what they say, be careful what you wish for. The Cybertronians are one of the most unique creatures out there, mainly because of their unique structure and abilities. They are beings based on metals instead of carbon but that is seemingly due to the nature of their home planet Cybertron. It is a super earth and evidence suggests that early in the evolution of life it was covered in molten metal. The planet never cooled properly or went through a late heavy bombardment event in its history so there is little to no water on the surface. Life on Cybertron had to adapt another substance to use as fuel, an alcohol colloquially known as Energon. This substance was key to kickstarting the Cybertronian ecosystem with almost all beings using it as an energy source. It has a volatile nature and is highly reactive so it is drunken sparingly as to make it last. Cybertron has developed an entire biosphere of metal animals that have adapted to these harsh conditions, though not as diverse as Earth. After millions upon millions of years sapience eventually developed somewhere between 6-12 million years ago with some of the first Cybertronians. These were large humanoids that had developed an interesting way to live. These creatures are mainly carnivorous though would eat just about anything if they have access to it. Compared to other lifeforms on Cybertron they have a relatively soft and flexible build, despite them being metallic organisms. This is key to their hunting behaviour as they practice extremely complex mimicry that is similar to that of Earth’s mimic octopus. The Cybertronian would often use its flexible body to imitate beings or objects in their native environment, along with chromatophores to help make their disguise more convincing to their prey. Once a suitable prey item comes into range of the Cybertronian it would quickly transform into its humanoid form and pounce upon the prey. Cybertronians were normally solitary and nomadic creatures, usually not forming bonds with other members of their species. At least until recent history when they had to become more creative with their disguises as their prey became wiser. Many Cybertronians began utilising their advanced mimicry to move and hunt in more efficient fashions such as the development of sphincters adapted to help propel themselves either across the ground or in the air. Another adaptation was the ability to fire a liquid from their arms while not toxic in any way, relies upon kinetic energy to take down prey. As the complexity of their hunting style increased they eventually developed sapience which led to the eventual formation of sociality in the Cybertronian species. This might have occurred when two individuals crossed paths in neutral territory and began communicating in basic terms. All we know is that Cybertronians began living together. Their chromatophores became useful here in differentiating individuals from each other as they developed their own unique patterns and disguises as they specialised within their respective packs. These bands would eventually start using tools, their humanoid physiology being well adapted for such things. As more groups discovered each other they were mainly peaceful towards each other. The first groups being known as “The Primes” in Cybertronian culture and the title has been passed down for generations as seemingly the best of the best. Something interesting about Cybertronians is their life cycle. They reproduce both sexually and asexually in the same way Earth plants do. When coming into contact with a female Cybertronian the male will impregnate her and move on. The female will then lay several eggs with young Cybertronians in them. These eggs are rich in Energon and highly sought after by predators so the female will defend them with her life. Once the eggs hatch the female will not provide much care or attention to the hatchlings, only providing protection from being around her. They will leave once they have reached maturity at around a few years in age. At this point they will begin using their camouflage abilities to hunt smaller prey but transition to larger animals as they age. These protoforms will moult several times before eventually reaching maturity. It’s unknown how long these creatures will live for but they can seemingly cannot be killed by old age. Cybertronians are normally grey in colour but the chromatophores allow for a wide variety of different shades and patterns. As their civilisation advanced there was a split in Cybertronian society. A group known as the Decepticons were rebelling against the natural hierarchy of their society due to being mistreated by the people in charge and began to wage war to create a better world for all Cybertronians. Their leader, Megatron, was seen as a man of the people in the beginning but as the war carried on he was seen as a tyrannical madman who cared only for violence. In response what was left of the government reformed themselves into a group known as Autobots and began a counteroffensive against the Decepticons, eventually leading to the Autobots leaving Cybertron behind and migrating out into space. The Decepticons were left to rule over the planet but, out of fear of an Autobot invasion, decided to follow their path. This led both groups to Earth where they chose common vehicles as a form of camouflage. The Decepticons choosing to resemble military vehicles while the Autobots chose more civilian vehicles. As of now humans are mainly trying to help the Autobots win the war as Megatron’s insanity doesn’t make him seem like a good person to have in charge. This seems to be a more “simple” alien race compared to the Gems and I can’t wait to see what you have planned next. I’ll see you soon, goodnight.
Wow! This is quite the take on the Cybertronians. I love it! I have an idea: Perhaps you can do a similar take on the various Transformers factions, like the Maximal/Predacons, Minicons, Titans, etc. That would be quite the retelling. : )

interesting, didn't realize I would be so on the money by guessing the two most artificial ben 10 aliens sans clockwork! that said, i dont know if the shapeshifting you described is a one-to-one with rose becoming a part of steven (if it was at all) seeing as rose's death would probably be best described as a form of endosymbiosis, and not a mere shapeshifting event. but hey you rarely go for that anyhow so who am I to complain. Amazing video and while I’ll admit I’m not the biggest fan of the show I must say this was a really intriguing and entertaining look into one of the shows most interesting aspects that being just the general nature of the gems themselves and while I know, I have suggested these guys a few times already frankly looking back on my past attempts at suggesting the rabbids all I have to say is I have no idea what I was on, but boy is it rough to read through but anyways one notable thing that that I have discovered about them is the fact that the rabbids are canonically older than the dinosaurs and used to have allegedly quite the advanced civilization before they as a species acquired catastrophic brain damage and became the obnoxious screeching goblins that they are best known as but yeah their age as a species would imply that they are in fact synapses of some variety likely somewhere close to suminia.
Also, I couldn’t find a place to note this, but I must say the reimagined design of specifically Garnet is probably up there in the top 10 or 15 as one of your best yet in regards to how it still retains the characters recognizable traits while still feeling distinct and relatively realistic, as in this case an extraterrestrial organism.
Thank you so much, that really means a lot! Also, its interesting, to say the least, Rabbids were the precursor civilization in a way. Maybe they were punished for their hubris... but as to what kind of organisms they may have been... something pre cretaceous clearly, maybe related to Cthulhu?
About the castes, different nutrient availability and crystallotype leads to different gems being stronger, thougher, having more precise bodies and such, and these abilities are differentially selected for warrior, servant, explorer castes, and so on. Of course, the gems with the greatest offensive capabilities, or the capacity of controlling other gems, have placed themselves at the top of the pyramid!

1. what do the predators get out of hunting the gems? does the gem fluid have any benefits for the risk Like salt? Nutrients? Or are they attracted to the lights the gems emit
Something tells me you took notes about particle constructs and the pro's/cons of each particle type.
It came from the Owl House ep!
I remember wanting to do a rewrite of Steven Universe where the gems were much more alien, so seeing this was very interesting.

great video, I loved it!

Great video.

Unless these Gems come in variants like the originals, Ben could also scan multitudes of them

The omnitrix has been shown to accept subspecies like upchuck, so i believe that whatever gem type the transformation is, their voice Will be the same as the other individuals of that type of gem, like lets say if ben had a spinel transformation it would be voiced by Sarah styles Just like the spinel we see in the show as gems of the same type usually have the same voice like how all the rubies sound the same

I love it!
I have an idea: Perhaps you can do a similar take on the various Transformers factions, like the Maximal/Predacons, Minicons, Titans, etc.

interesting, didn't realize I would be so on the money by guessing the two most artificial ben 10 aliens sans clockwork! that said, i dont know if the shapeshifting you described is a one-to-one with rose becoming a part of steven (if it was at all) seeing as rose's death would probably be best described as a form of endosymbiosis, and not a mere shapeshifting event. but hey you rarely go for that anyhow so who am I to complain.

@@speculativewildlife definitely interesting to think about and on the note about Cthulhu that would not surprise me.
What would be the size range of gems and how would the castes work?
About the castes, different nutrient availability and crystallotype leads to different gems being stronger, thougher, having more precise bodies and such, and these abilities are differentially selected for warrior, servant, explorer castes, and so on. Of course, the gems with the greatest offensive capabilities, or the capacity of controlling other gems, have placed themselves at the top of the pyramid!
This was honestly impressive. I knew about the hard light, but you somehow gave them an actual physical body as well with liquid crystal.
