The world was unworthy, says St. Augustine, to receive the Son of God directly from the Father's hands. He gave Him to Mary (after her consent) in order that the world might receive Him through her. Jesus in turn gives His most Holy Mother to us His pilgrim children on earth to guide and protect us. Like St. John the Evangelist at the foot of the cross we take you O Blessed Mother and Mother of the Church into our hearts and into our homes. May your fiat be upon our lips too, always magnifying the Lord and rejoicing in the Lord our Saviour who has done great things for us.

@@TriciaRP The Annunciation to Mary inaugurates "the fullness of time" (Gal 4:4) the time of fulfillment of God's promises and preparations. The divine response ( Col 2:9) to Mary's question was given by the power of the Holy Spirit (Lk 1:34-35). Thus, giving her consent to God's word, Mary becomes the mother of Jesus, the Mother of God, and Mother of the Redeemer. The Father's only Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit is "Christ". In fact, the One whom she conceived according to the flesh, was none other than the Father's eternal Son, the second person of the Holy Trinity. Hence the Church confesses that Mary is truly "Mother of God " and therefore our Mother. Mary's spiritual motherhood extends to all men whom indeed He came to save.
To become the mother of the Saviour, Mary was enriched by God with gifts appropriate to such a role. How awesome it is to nestle in the arms of such an awesome mother who was "full of grace" (Lk 1:28).

The Church rightly honours and venerates (not worships) the Blessed Virgin with special devotion to whose protection the faithful fly in all their dangers and needs. This differs essentially from the adoration which is given to the Incarnate Word and equally to the Father and the Holy Spirit.
What the Catholic faith believes about Mary is based on what it believes about Christ.
The knot of Eve's disobedience was untied by Mary's obedience, what Eve bound through her disbelief Mary loosed by her faith.
Jesus Himself was subject and obedient to her for 30 years. The human mind loses itself, when it seriously reflects on the conduct of the Incarnate Wisdom who willed to give Himself to humankind - not directly, though He could have done so, but through the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Do you think it would please God if we cast His beloved Mother aside as "inconsequential"? Could we bear it if our own sweet mothers were treated in this way by others?
It would be gross injustice to dishonour the Mother of God in such a manner.
May the Holy Spirit, spouse of Mary, enlighten all minds and hearts to receive Mary as their spiritual mother and honour her as Mother of God. We ask for prayer from each other don't we? Pray for me we say, then what's wrong in asking the Mother of God to intercede with Her Son for our needs?

@@liewcheng6664 It’s from Revelations 12:16. Remember that Revelations has several highly symbolic visions, which introduce figures critical to the end times. Some of the symbols have dual and even triple meanings.
First is a woman, representative of Israel/ the Blessed Mother. Second is a red dragon, identified with Satan. Third is a male child, who is Jesus Christ. The red dragon seeks to devour the woman's male child, but God caught the child to His throne, referring to the ascension of Jesus after His resurrection. The passage then continues to describe a war in heaven between Michael and Satan-here Satan becomes the fourth key figure-which results in Satan's complete and total eviction from heaven. Satan attempts to destroy Israel, most likely through an armed invasion, which is supernaturally defeated by God through an earthquake. The fifth main figure is the collective ''offspring'' of the woman. These events are given further details in passages such as Ezekiel chapter 38.
Ezekiel predicted the earthquake that destroys the northern army. He wrote: "But on that day, the day that Gog shall come against the land of Israel, declares the Lord GOD, my wrath will be roused in my anger. For in my jealousy and in my blazing wrath I declare, On that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. … And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground. …With pestilence and bloodshed I will enter into judgment with him, and I will rain upon him and his hordes and the many peoples who are with him torrential rains and hailstones, fire, and sulfur" (Ezekiel 38:18-22).

@@tony1685 Tony, I guess you are saying that because El Wi is praying the rosary and reflecting on the Glorious mysteries of Christ's resurrection, ascension, the descent of the Holy Spirit, the assumption of Mary and her role as Queen or Queen mother, that El Wi is practicing paganism and ignoring the Bible. Or do we just choose to ignore her and belittle her as if God the Almighty didn't specially choose Mary, overshadow her with the Holy Spirit and have her carry the Second Person of the Holy Trinity in her virginal womb for nine months and then nurture Him through His childhood and teens?
If Jesus, Son of God, the Lord of Hosts, the Living Bread come down from Heaven and the Word of God was Himself pleased to dwell in this humble woman and call her His mother, just like the manna and the commandments of God were placed in the Ark of the Covenant, how dare you reject her as your spiritual mother? Do you think you know better than the Son of God?
She is also the 'woman' spoken of in the Garden of Eden, when God says "I will put enmity between you and the woman, between your seed and her seed... etc." Satan fears this woman, because she is his exact opposite. She is a humble and obedient servant of God. She is filled with God's grace and spirit. You would do well to embrace her as your mother. She leads us to Christ. I hope the Holy Spirit enlightens you and leads you to the real truth.

My brothers in humanity ... I am a muslim and i want any Christian who knows his religion well ... to answer me only two questions...First one...Jesus spoke about the father and said " this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. John 17:3...so From the Holy Trinity Who is the only true God, Father, Son, Holy Spirit "...? !!
Second: Christ speaks Aramaic and knows Hebrew, and was originally sent to the "sheeps of the house of Israel" according to the Bible ... So Are there any Aramaic or Hebrew Bibles, and the current gospels writing time dating back to any century ? !! Are there any manuscripts dating back to the first century of the era of Christ ?! Are the current Gospels considered a revelation from God, or are they just a history of events written by ordinary people ?!
I don't understands the your reason for asking this questions but here are my answers.
1. God the Father, YHWH, the ancient of days is the only true God (Psalm 115:3), He is the Living God of the Living (psalm 115:17, Matthew 22:32).
Christ is the chosen King, chosen by YHWH to rule. YHWH did this to fulfill HIS promise to King David. (Psalm 110).
In the prophecies of Daniel, Christ is the Son of Man upon the throne. Christ is the only one worthy to stand before YHWH.
2. The bible and the gospel were not written by Jesus but by men you witnessed the teachings of Jesus (like Plato and Socrates). These men were inspired by the Holy Spirit to write and they wrote according to their language and the language of their audience.
The old testament was mostly written in Hebrew and the new testament in Greek.
Unlike Plato and Socrates, multiple people wrote about the teaching of Jesus and they all agree on the same truth though they differ in minute details.
The old testament Hebrew text are the foundation for Judaism and Christianity.
I don't think any "original" manuscript have survived 2500+ years but the are manuscripts like the dead sea scrolls etc. That varifies some of the books compiled in the Bible.
