    @GeoffNemnich Seeing these large coyotes do you see any evidence of possible cross breeding with wolves?? Such as larger head, jaws, teeth, or length of body etc?? I have read articles that have described Coyo-wolves as a result of diminished wolf populations in different regions of the US. Some of the big males that you have bagged had fur with the guard hairs that resembled some wolf pelts I have seen

    lol here if you touch a call even a good electric call the coyotes turn and run the local ranchers can’t shoot to save their lives and all the “hunters” from the city come up here and educate everything even the turkeys so you have to be a long range sharpshooter to get a kill it’s wide open high desert so 600 plus shots are almost always taken from my porch with the 338 they don’t stand a chance out to the back fence at 1187 yards

    I love watching these coyote hunting videos. But the one thing that tics me off the most is you don't talk about the guns and gear enough. The caliber the type of bullets ,why do you shoot an AR, us hunters want to know from the experts what they use ,which bullets are fur friendly. do you keep the fur or are you just ,preditor control. Get into detail the calls that work ,how long do you let them play .Constant? .one minuet 5 minuets , do bird sounds work better on educated coyotes. How long do you sit at a call before you move.

    Just happened on your video. Love shooting dogs myself. I've never used an electronic caller. Ive got an old Olt wood call and use a single reed elk mouth diaphragm along with just road hunting. What caliber are you using? I carry 2 to 3 depending on where I'm at. An M1A1 light N.M. .308 and a .22LR. I've started carrying an AR platform 5.56. I see you using a silencer and have started considering that myself. Retired now but when I was working, I'd be out 4 days a week. Best winter was 273 dogs for almost 10k. Do you case out your kills? If you ever come up to the high plains of Northern Montana, I'd love to meet you.

    Can't see the reason for killing coyotes. If you were working for a sheep rancher, trying to keep lamb losses low, maybe. I'm of the school of, if you can't kill it, butcher it, and eat it, don't kill it. That being said, I've killed plenty of deer and elk over the years, with the last elk being just 6 days ago. I don't condemn you guys, I just don't understand.

    • @3gunshooter60
      @3gunshooter60 Год назад +1

      They are predators, they kill calves, kids, and many domestic animals. Waiting for them to kill your animals then going after them makes no sense. If you cull the population then there will be plenty of wild rabbits and such for the coyotes to eat.

      Odd to me that another hunter can’t understand why others hunt. It’s to hunt because we love it. I’m also a fisherman and think carp are trash fish but others love it…
