Yeah if you were to middle the ball I reckon it would travel to the boundary - search windball six practice on here, I think there's some footage of some blokes doing it.
Depends how you hit its a bit better than tennis balls and a bit heavier i would recommend having a Good bat and you will enjoy using them i give you this advice as i have used them before
Yes James, for light practice, they're dead tough and have got a little bit of weight to them, they get better as they get a bit older, when they're new they're really bouncy, but the bounce wears off. I usually get a permanent marking pen and draw a big black line around the seam so I can see how the seam is spinning. They work well on grass too if it's short and smooth e.g. a well maintained outfield.
someblokecalleddave1 Thanks for the reply. I will have to get myself some for xmas. Any chance I could grab your email address to fire a few questions across about leg spin? I've been playing cricket a year having bat at 11 to make up the numbers for my local team but would like to contribute in my first full season and would love to bowl leg spin, especially as we don't have a spinner of any kind.
Is the bounce, speed and size good? Because the Slazenger windballs are slightly awful.
See the comments below Ahmad, I reckon it's down to what you're going to use them for.
can it be used as replacement for tennis ball cricket ? Will it travel as much as tennis ball after hitting the bat?
No, they're a bit heavier and marginally bigger and the bounce is pretty dead in comparison with a tennis ball.
someblokecalleddave1 can boundaries be hit with these balls(compared to tennis balls)?
