It shows how the more open map design allows Halo's sandbox to truely shine. 8v8 is also way less chaotic than 12v12 and allows for all classic modes to be played on it
This. 343 maps always too crowded and confined. Open the map space like Avalanche and let the sandbox shine with player dynamics.
I really like Squad Battle and hope they keep in rotation and add more maps. I also really enjoy playing Team Survivor! I hope they bring it back. It reminds me of breakout

Squad Battle will keep me playing Infinite for a long time. Especially if they keep expanding the map selection over time. I keep saying it, but Infinite is at its best when it calls back to previous games. Can't wait for Firefight.

I'd say keep the playlist, rotate the maps, get more OG maps remade (and maybe redesigned) of course keeping in mind what maps work better with which modes. Maybe even seasonal versions of the same maps that suit the seasons themes, could be a tall order but I at least think it would be a cool idea.
Maybe they could make the maps remade as actual maps made by the devs not made with forage mode hence some remakes of halo 4 multiplayer maps reach maps swordbase etc
Zanzibar / Last Resort remake could still use a lot of work in the texture and lighting department. The Valhalla remake is ridiculously good. The guys behind that had absolute mastery over the terrain

I agree with the Blood gulch CE hate. Every time I play it some doofus in a tank drives up the back hill and snipes everyone in the lobby and you can’t do anything about it
Me and my buddy came back to halo for the update and had an amazing time. But the custom servers was what hooked up, we spent all weekend playing custom games and met so many great people. It truly feels like we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Sucks that people are dismissing all the other great stuff 343 have done, just because they added some classic Forge maps it’s suddenly the best thing 343 have ever done? It’s just sad.

Bloodgulch needs to be played a certain way. It’s epic and nuanced
I would love for 343 to make/add some more 8v8 maps. Halo Infinite is my first halo game besides a little Reach forge, so I’m not blinded by nostalgia when I say these 3 maps are the most fun I’ve had in infinite casually.

I haven't enjoyed BTB at all in Infinite, something about the maps and player count doesn't do it for me. So to say I was absolutely delighted when I started playing this playlist, and had so much fun just playing classic BTB. Bravo 343, this is great

Been playing since launch, Squad Battle is so fun because of the breathing room. It sucks when you load into a match and there's a vehicle snowball though. Overall great mode!

Blood Gulch was great when playing 2 vs 2 because you had to find the enemies and there would be breaks in between fights especially if playing with lower skill players. But 8 vs 8 on that type of map is trash. It just means someone is getting spawn killed. There were not enough weapons on the map and barely anything to combat vehicles, very little cover. What made it great also was it was one of the few maps that had vehicle play which at the time was a brand new experience for console multiplayer at that level of immersion and quality. That was what truly made it special. I think it was only that and Sidewinder on the original xbox. All the other maps were just arena maps. Our favorites were as follows:
-blood gulch
-battle creek
-chill out
-derelict
-hang em high
- boarding action
-rat race
This was one of the coziest vids to watch, this playlist just hits that spot perfect

I wish they would remove the Scorpion and Wasp from CTF Valhalla. There's not enough love for Warthog play in Halo Infinite in general.
Honestly I wouldn’t mind if it ate into the BTB playlist, maybe they’ll drop that and just replace it with this… so much better imo
This addition got me so excited!! I might even be able to get my friend to play now! OG BTB with old maps is the way to go. There are prolly more Halo fans from back in the day that will just be excited to see old maps than new fans
Just wish they'd script the Zanzibar wheel/bridge & gate to actually work.

Using warthog on these maps I'm pulling 30 kills and 0-2 deaths a game. Only have to play one handed with mouse as well...
I think warthog need max turn speed nurfed to match a controller at 10 sensitivity like the tank's turret.

The potential with infinites forge is insane. My dream is a series of playlists each one having all maps from a halo game. Eg halo 3 playlist, halo reach etc. would be a lot of work but it would be insane

Ya, I basically only ever play ranked, but I played a bunch of squash battles today and really enjoyed it. I’m trying to think what maps would be good to add. Maybe blood gulch or headlong?
Breaker IS the worst BTB map in infinite because it's not good for infantry with its choke points. There's also no way for vehicles to move around the map without going through literally only TWO choke points. I don't care what you say about blood gulch, I only played on that map with my friends on split screen.
Having so much fun with these maps compared to the old infinite maps

I had the same concern that this was splitting the BTB Population. In future if this playlist rotates back in, it should just replace regular BTB.
Do you plan on posting vod’s at all? I am unable to watch your streams majority of the time and 6:20 isn’t enough of you playing Halo for me lol. Great video though!
It feels so halo! More casual and slower paced. Feels more btb to me as you get more chance to try things without other players getting in the way
hes correct with bloodgulch tho. ofc its iconic and at the point of release it was okay. but if you think about it. its way to open for on foot combat, all of the middle is only for vehicles. the only places on foot was viable are the little paths around the outside and even those had little to no cover. Its just a boring and bland map. Thats why Valhalla is basically blood gulch but in good. good for vehicles and infantry with both sides and the middle having so much variety in gameplay.

are the maps 1:1 scale or have they been increased to fit infinites gameplay.
To me it seems like the size was increased to account for infinites movement.
The maps feel incredibly well done and reminiscent of the originals. I just played for 3 hours straight this morning.

maps look great, but the vehicles are so unbalanced. ive been in more than a handful of matches that are single digit steak dinners. so unfair.

Woo hoo I'm the 400th Like. Gonna be real sad if the playlist gets removed as it is my favorite so far. I heard they were rotating in new playlist every 4 weeks but I bet SBs pop is doing quite well so I dunno if it is a good idea to remove one of their healthier playlists. Perhaps could rotate in new H3 maps for SB every 4 weeks instead of removing the playlist entirely. Almost forgot how good eight versus eight plays.

I have no idea why this video poped up on my recommended, but no matter what 343 adds to the game, a broken game will still be a broken game. I'll pass.
I love the maps but hate the mode. 60% of my games it seems like the enemy team instantly dominates the map by getting in every vehicle on the map. I can't leave my base because there are ghosts, warthogs, wraiths, wasps, and banshees orbiting it at all times in great numbers. It seems like if you're not in a vehicle, your only role in the game is to get fucked by someone who is, and I hate playing in most vehicles. Regular BTB isn't even nearly as bad most of the time.
I can’t believe there’s no Spartan Laser. It’s details like that which remind me it’s not REALLY Halo 3 and brings me out of the experience. That’s why I can’t enjoy these maps at all.

Nah Last resort is one of the worst BTB maps. It has always had the same problem where if or 2 guys gets on top of the hallway roof in the beach area its over for whoever spawns there cuz the spawns will never change in objective modes. Every Halo that has that map has the same problem, even going back to Halo 2
I wish we could betray in halo infinite like in halo 5, i would always betray my team mates at the last 15 sec of the match 😂. I know you can kill team mates with a vehicle but not by shooting them or grenading them
Sorry but the maps definitely look very unpolished and and I would very much prefer 343i create these maps with proper details snd textures rather than random dudes with too much free time.
