An automatic level crossing with half barriers located within the Surrey Hills surrounded by quiet, pleasant woodland, but located on a moderately busy road with uneven verges on a fairly steep hill. This level crossing has two very loud bells, each is located on the back of each barrier assembly here, and both chime much more frequently than most bells at level crossings in the country do, though these silence when the barriers have lowered. The ones here provide the most constant and clear warning of any bells that don't ring continuously that I've come across in this country.
Apart from those, this level crossing has two Mk.1 twin-arm half barriers and LED wigwags dating back from the early 2010s. Despite the barriers being of quite an old design and age, the arms themselves are fairly new, and the barriers overall seem very well-maintained here. At some point between their installation and the mid-late 2010s, the wigwags (road traffic lights) on the near-side (entry/left-hand side) were moved from being attached to the barrier assemblies onto new, separate supporting masts, and the old brackets they were fitted onto can still be seen in place.
Four separate lowerings have been featured in this video. All have been filmed in 4K (Ultra-High-Definition).
    Thanks for watching!
