    Thanks for your vid. I was looking at this for watering plants in harder to reach areas of the paddock - either directly pumping from a water source, or from a mobile tank. And perhaps a backup water pump if power is out. Would you still recommend it 3 years later?

      Yes, I used it the other day to transfer over 10,000 litres of water. It ripped through the batteries but we had a few on charge and ready to go. It’s not super quick but definitely gets the job done,

      100% we use it as a light weight portable unit on our farm buggy.
      Also have our normal Rig but it’s a great little unit as a backup to our backup.

    Do you still use the supplied oil each time you run the pump?, is that oil safe for drinking water. Have you had to buy a new impeller yet, are they easily available and not too expensive?. I am seriously wanting to buy this pump.

      Not sure about the oil question but if we’re going to pump drinking water I’d flush it out and use a few drops of a vegetable oil.
      Haven’t had to replace the impeller yet. My pump did come with a spare one. But not sure where you’d get one from. Looked online with no luck.
      In that it’s not a issue for me at the moment.

    Gday mate. Nice vid. What's the longest hose you've run with this and still gotten decent pressure at the outlet ?

    • @SilhouetteParkFarm
      @SilhouetteParkFarm  4 года назад +1

      Yes, just barely.

    Would this work for using it as an oil pump to change the oil? I imagine it would however I would need a hose small enough to fit in the dipstick.

    Hi there, is it capable of having a hose trigger at the outlet end or will that ruin it?

    • @SilhouetteParkFarm
      @SilhouetteParkFarm  5 лет назад +1

      ALAIA there is no pressure switch on it, so it’s just on or off

    We bought one. Noisy as and quite heavy, not the best for caravanning.

    • @SilhouetteParkFarm
      @SilhouetteParkFarm  3 года назад +2

      Yes it is pretty noisy but it is great for and makes short work of transferring water from containers or buckets into a caravan water tank. It’s way faster than our silent run pumps in our caravan
