    I like the new tech,,, and the world is waiting for it... Time you integrate new tech to something,, doesn't matter if you like it,,, the people you show or sell your photos & footage to are the ones who make like and want it... If you're just flying to be flying then I see your point!! But to those who fly to capture unique shots and footage will love the feature,,even if they don't like it.....

    the wait has been long.....cannot wait any longer now.....i will go for the normal battery.....bigger battery more weight in flying rules this is it's worst enemy....you will never reach 47 mins unless you fly it in stand still indoor...as i say before i want this now😁😁😁

      It's DJI's first,, and at this time only drone that has the mew feature so I will have it... The fact that the drone can do it,,, people are going to want photos and footage using it...

    1. Flight Time. 2. Flight Time. 3. Flight Time. Best three things about the Mini 3. Not all of us have to be concerned with registering their drones, so a longer flight time is welcomed. If it gets too heavy and too expensive I’d look at other drones.

    With this leaked specs, how does it compare to the air2s? Some say the wind resistance between the air2s and the mini2 are just the same,is it?

    • @brettgaramella
      @brettgaramella  2 года назад +1

      The biggest difference is that the Air 2S can shoot 10-bit log video and has a 1-inch camera sensor. My biggest complaint with the Air 2S was flight time. While the Mini 2 handles wind very well, the Air 2S is better.

    Me personally I'd buy the bigger battery because the 249g doesn't matter to me here in Australia I have the air 2 now and I think a smaller size would be great for me because I like to do a lot of landscap video and photos and I walk into the areas where I want to film and I manly fly manually anyway so the pre programmed flight modes I wouldn't use to much anyway and the avoidance senses I don't use either

    • @brettgaramella

      I would agree... I'm going to get it with the bigger battery since I fly manually as well.

    i just purchased a Mavic Air 2 which has most of the features the Mini 3 Pro will have for $600 from a guy on ebay who flew it 3x. I'll wait a while till the price drops. It's as much as an Air 2S. WTFlower. A bit overpriced ya think? well done video. Thumbs up👍

    • @brettgaramella
      @brettgaramella  2 года назад

      Yeah the Mavic Air 2 is a great drone. I especially love shooting at 240 fps. The Mini 3 Pro will have a slightly bigger sensor and longer flight time but we'll have to see. You got a good deal if that drone is flying like new.

    I may be wrong, but I think the spec about vertical and horizontal is the camera gimbal having the ability to point the camera up vertically, and sideways horizontally, instead of what you are describing as portrait and landscape mode photos.

    • @brettgaramella
      @brettgaramella  2 года назад

      I think we are saying the same thing... maybe I didn't explain it very well. It will likely be able to go up 90 degrees like the Parrot Anafi as well, but turning to take vertical shots will be cool.

    Short but quality info! Thanks for highlighting these features on the Mini 3. That True Vertical Shooting feature will be really handy especially now people seem to enjoy these youtube shorts more than ever, me included, and I also find myself browsing through all these IG reels all the time. It would be exciting to see more aerial content on a proper vertical format on these social media sites.

    My Mini2 is in the Pacific Ocean. Can I use my old controller with the Mini3 and still have the latest connection technology (minus the built in video screen)? Any chance for my 5 Mini2 batteries to work?

    • @brettgaramella
      @brettgaramella  2 года назад +1

      Yes, you should be able to use the Mini 2 controller with the Mini 3. I think the new batteries have more juice so I don't think they will be compatible, but there is a chance they might be. Can't say for sure on that one just yet.

    • @brettgaramella
      @brettgaramella  2 года назад

      No, you have to use the camera that came with it. You might be able to use the DJI goggles, but if you're looking for an FPV experience, this is not the drone. I would go with the DJI FPV and attach a GoPro, or build your own FPV drone.

    Not impressed.. what.. no D-Log? What only about 23 min tru flight time? What 4k 60fps (that few will ever use) . What.. no mission planner and few modes. What.. ? 1/2 the features will be delayed months down the road.. What ? Another release delay? What? Obstacle detection that has never worked right on any other model? What? Twice the price it should be? OMG.. the FanBoys are out in full force. I love my DJI products.. but this one is to little to late. Not even close to being revolutionary or even evolutionary.

      Totally agree with the gorilla !

    • @brettgaramella
      @brettgaramella  2 года назад +1

      I agree with some of your points but we have to wait until it comes out to make final conclusions. I think it should have in the high 20s, not 23 minutes of flight time. I shoot 4K 60 frames per second and having that in a portable drone can come in handy when flying between our close to objects so for me that’s super helpful and I think a lot of other people would agree. The obstacle avoidance of most DJI drones is pretty good… And for me is smooth and Cinematic even though it’s not perfect in avoiding objects. No I would agree the price is too high and we would need a 1 inch sensor to justify that pricing. I think also DJI has come out with so many drones that it’s kind of like Sony with cameras… They are at a point of no return.

    Hello sir, love your stuff. I have the Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom gimbal I switch out from time to time. I also have the Phant 4 v.2, and my next drone is the mini 3. I'm thinking it should work with my DJI Smart controller like the mini 2. I won't even consider the Mavic 3 until it has compatible with my Smart Controller. For me it's not really even the price, it's the principle.

    • @brettgaramella
      @brettgaramella  2 года назад

      Thanks Big Doc, I appreciate that. Yes, I think there are a lot of people who would agree with you. Making another Smart Controller for the Mini 3 seems like DJI is just squeezing money from loyal customers. Good collection you have... Do you fly professionally or just for fun?

      @@brettgaramella long story short, I'm an EXTREME hobbyist. I got into drones bc I had a tree company, we climbed, no bucket trucks, and I thought it would be a good idea to scout the trees for danger b4 the climbs. Then my daughter came and I've been a stay at home dad. I enjoy visual effects and I'm trying to get WebODM to work for me so I can do mapping. Now that my daughter is in school I'm studying for my part 107 and looking for jobs that will help me learn the craft better. There's a little more to the story, but I want you to know your videos have inspired me in my journey and I hope I can get to the point that I can return the favor. Thank you for your work

      @@washbelly3000 That's great to hear. I like that term "EXTREME hobbyist" haha. I'm still on my own journey, but one thing I have found that helps is to focus on only thing at a time before moving to the next step. So I wouldn't even worry about mapping yet. The only thing I would be doing is studying for the Part 107 and scheduling the test so you have a deadline. Then move on to the next thing, and so forth. Anyhow, if I can help, I'm here.
