No risk = no rewards. Sure you get a win, but no one will remember him or his performances in 10-20-30 years. He’s not special nor impactful on boxing. I admit I have been on the bandwagon with teasing Shakur as a boring fighter. I hope he does not take all the criticism personally, but rather, motivate himself to further improve his skills and become a better all around fighter.

That was a masterful and entertaining performance. Most if not all boxing fans of today think in a hive mentality. They watch fights in the scope of public opinion.
I don't think his current style can beat Tank. He doesn't really punch through opponents. He usually just hits opponents for points and not to cause damage. If he wants to beat Tank hes gonna have to punch with bad attention and something sit down on his punches to gain Tanks respect. Shakur hurting tank has to be a form of defense to keep him from coming. Tank is incredible fast and athletic and punched like a literally tank lol....But he is a smaller guy with shorter arms going put against a much bigger physical man who is a master at distance and anticipation. IMO he is boring and I'm a boxing purist. I don't understand why he is so defensive against the opposition he has been facing. Even Floyd was far more aggressive against the caliber of opponents Shakur has fought. For a guy who many consider to be a supreme boxer, why doesn't he do more? Is he afraid of looking bad? Does he think he will get hurt? Another thing is he fights overly defensive when he faces someone with power. If this level of opposition is making him overly defensive, what will Tank do? In a fight of that magnitude, Shakur won't get the win if he isnt activ3 enough. The judges will give the fight to Tank because: 1. Tank is the A side 2. Judges tend to favor the fighter who is making the fight. If Shakur is just going to throw 200-300 punches against Tank he isn't going to win.

While I think this criticism certainly has some merit. Shakur actually threw more punches per round against Artem than tank did against Martin. Tanks talented so maybe he'll bring more volume against shakur but if they're both their typical selves, tank is going to go a lot of rounds getting clearly out landed by Shakur. The people that say Shakur is a runner literally just don’t know about boxing. His base style is as an inside fighter, those frames, pins, guard manipulation, etc. That’s really high level skill that only great fighters can pull off without getting hit.

Hi Bernie. I was in and around UK gyms for a few years and I have followed the sport for quite some time. If the opinions are already out there, it's probably because other people are seeing the same thing. You're right in that I don't have much credibility - no one knows who I am, but hopefully over time people will see I'm consistent and thoughtful with my opinions.
It is but the ability to stand in front of a guy and he can’t hit you Is so BRILLIANT and you have to train and box to see it for yourself He’s gifted but I understand that it’s boring to the casual eye
