I want to thank you Chris for sharing this with us! I'm claustrophobic and afraid of being under ground, plus this would have been a difficult hike for me, so I never would have seen this if you hadn't shared it with us! Thank you again! I also LOVE how fearless and brave Miles is! You and Amanda must be so proud of him! 🙂
This might be my favorite video you've ever made! I'm glad you showed the caves so I don't have to go it there! You guys are all so brave and strong!!!!!
Thank you for showcasing one of our great monuments in Utah. I also want to thank you for the memories. My father was a cave guide for a time and my great grandfather was cave superintendent. He and his son's paved one of the first real trails to the cave. I have been lucky to have so much family history with Timp Cave and so many wonderful stories. Do they still show Chime Cave?
WOW! WHat a beautiful cave. The hike to get to it was definitely worth it. Love how Miles has such curiosity for everything around him. You and Amanda are giving him an amazing education.
One of my favorite hikes ever! When I was younger, my dad would take me, my brother and my youngest sister up there and we would have a blast! Such great memories! I never was claustrophobic while in the cave, but the point when they would turn off the lights and it was complete darkness was the eerie part to me. Thank you for a great video Chris!
What a beautiful cave, but did you find any of the hidden Mickeys...??? Hahahahahaha! Just kidding, of course. I would have no problem in the cave, but I do suffer from acrophobia (a fear of falling, not of heights), so the hike up would not have been possible for me. Thanks for sharing this beautiful family time! I really enjoyed it!
Amazing that your kids were so brave and not complaining about the long walk. I’m exhausted just watching, I certainly would have turned back after 10 minutes. …Very interesting and very surprised that there’s no railings. Must have been some falls over the years. Thanks for going and showing.
This was amazing!! Ok as a 68 year old woman I am impressed with Amanda’s mom way to go!! I will do the hike but not the cave but loved seeing it!! Thanks as always
A spectacularly fun video, but I'm confused: at the beginning you said not to watch if you're claustrophobic and I didn't see Santa in the vlog at all 🤔🎅 🖤
Hi Chris and Family. The hike looks Amazing. Thank you for bringing us along on this amazing journey up the trail, through the Cave System, and the hike back down the trail. Chris, you are Great at taking videos, each day you take videos is another day of learning something new. Stay Safe and keep having Fun on your Adventures. 👋🏻🇨🇦
OMG Chris, I was a little cautious of the claustrophobia warning, but I watched anyway. The thing that got me was the fear of heights and no guard rails. I panicked and had nightmares after hearing about Amanda‘s mom almost falling. Love your videos and I love seeing places that I’ll never get to see but boy that got me. 😮❤
My suggestion is that you should go to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. You won’t have a long hike up to get into the caverns, because they have an elevator that takes you down into the caverns. You can walk down into the caverns from the natural entrance, which is a long easy walk down. Once you get down to the caverns, they have bathrooms and sell food for lunch too. The caverns are huge and you can take your time exploring them. They do have some guided tours that take you into different areas not open to the general public. Then at night you can sit in their outdoor stadium and watch the bats fly out of the cave to find their evening dinner of insects. It was amazing.
🎉 You MADE it! 🖤 Hey, Chris. Those yellow & red balls are used in the same manner as those yellow & red stripes on the trail . . . in order to let the helicopters know that there is a slide zone below, so to keep movin' on along. 🤣 🤣 🤣
This is awesome, and I would probably want to bring my hard hat along. Another tip would be to wear your ballcap backward because the bill obscures the ceiling height, causing head bumps. Ask me how I know? I have had many bumps on my noggin while building Rose Parade floats for our city and crawling inside. Ouch!!
Hi, I'm one of the rangers and yes, we do have to climb it every day. It is rough having to hike it every day, but it's also amazing that I get paid to hike in these beautiful places!
@jamessanders5796 wow! I give you all the props for that! I complain when I have to park in the very back of the parking lot at work. I bet everyone double triple quadruple checks you have everything you need for the day before you head out cause there's no just quickly running back to your car for anything lol
Now you are all set to go to Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. Been on almost every cave tour at Mammoth Cave since I live in Lexington KY. And Carlsbad Caverns too in New Mexico.
I went there a few years ago. That hike up is definitely a challenge! It's still a rewarding journey, and I even got to see some chipmunks and a squirrel along my pathways! I loved the cave temperature, but I don't mind being cool 😎
Amanda is the spitting image of her mom. No doubt that they are mother and daughter. Nice video. The cave isn't the hard part, it's the walk up the mountain that would give many heart attacks!
I’ve lived in Utah my whole life and I’ve never done this hike. This is on my summer bucket list. How is this hike compared to hiking the “Y”. Coming down from the “Y” stressed me out because it’s so steep and I’m afraid I’ll fall on the gravel. Is this better because it’s paved?
Looks like a good amount of Helictite in that cave. The Black Chasm Cavern here in Northern California has a staggering amount of Helictite and is worth the visit.
Timpanogos is said to have more Helectites than any other cave in America. But, I don't think anyone has really counted. I need to check out Black Chasm, because I really do love Helectites.
The claustrophobia wasn’t what got me. But looking down those sheer moutain edges made me shudder a little each time. that would be the terrifying part for me

I sort of ave the condition

What a great video. Gosh I was nervous for you filming on that narrow trail with that big drop off. OMG.😂
A spectacularly fun video, but I'm confused: at the beginning you said not to watch if you're claustrophobic and I didn't see Santa in the vlog at all 🤔🎅
🖤
That jolly old elf had to have been in there somewhere.
😂😂💚💙
@@arimyrback probably hiding... I remember my grade school English teacher saying something about insubordinate clauses
Ha, ha, an hour and half hike.. more like a 2 and half hour hike for me! I’d have to stop and use the benches.
I'm glad you filmed that, there is no way I'm ever going on that hike.🤣
💚💙

Great video! My family loves hiking. I just started watching your videos today and I must say I cried at the pep talk at the end. I needed that.
I'd be terrified of the hight as well!😂

What a cool cave! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Don't always watch the affirmations segment, but I definitely needed that today.
Cool hike and loved the cave tour!
Thanks for posting. Been to a few caves in Northern Arizona during my youth - forgot how cool they are.
Thanks. I loved seeing this. No way I could make it up there but thanks to your family I got to see it.
That was a great hike. Thanks so much for taking up a long.
You bet.
🎉 You MADE it! 🖤

Whoa!!!
@provostparkpass 🤣 🤣 🤣
I live in Springville, and have never hiked it!
Thanks for the video.

Do the rangers have to make that hike every day just to go to work?? You certainly wouldn't need a gym membership if that was your job
Yes. They go up and down several times a day. 😵💫

Calico mine train at Knotts Berry Farm.
Thanks for the warning...see ya next time!!!
👍👍

❤You guys are amazing ❤ What was the elevation ❤
So I asked to soon..You just to the cave entrance and there was a sign that said what the elevation was..Teehee silly me
Leave it to Amanda to see "popcorn" in the cave! No butter or salt, don't eat it.
The cave does not bother me, but the steep drop offs on the trail make me dizzy.
Good morning Chris
I do get clausterphobic. I watched about half the video though. But I'm getting anxiety, so i'm not finishing.
People who live close use the trail as their daily exercise run. It is a really cool cave!
Amanda is the spitting image of her mom. No doubt that they are mother and daughter. Nice video. The cave isn't the hard part, it's the walk up the mountain that would give many heart attacks!
I’m blown away that they don’t have railings along that trail! Looked pretty cool though

It is better because it's paved. It also has more trees so you're not in the sun the whole time
I went there in my childhood. Cool place. 😊
Adrenaline junkies😂 great video, glad you found it

This seems as good a place as any to ask this question: Have you ever noticed squirrels, rabbits or opossums in DCA or Disneyland?
Not something I would enjoy, but thanks for filming it!!
Chris.....you are not far from me....I am in Provo
The claustrophobia wasn’t what got me. But looking down those sheer moutain edges made me shudder a little each time. that would be the terrifying part for me
wish you would gone over to Tom Sawyers island.
I don’t make this place better. People make me feel inferior. I’ve never experienced love. My entire family has passed. I have cerebral palsy
It looks like you get to the cave just before you get to Scrooge's favorite formation
Lived here my entire life and still haven't been. Oops.
Oops indeed
I’ve met this guy!
Too dangerous.......
