30 engine 25 axle and 42 engine, 35 axle both equal a ratio of 5:00. Any difference in performance if the bigger gear is on axle vs. motor?

I have a 125lb kid running in blue rookie we can hot 5800 rpm ut3 engine but his speed is on 27 and that's in practice with no kids, when we race with others his speed is 25.5 we are running a 30 engine 31 axle we just don't seem to have holeshot what's ur suggestions, I was gonna go 30 33 or 30 32 when we go 1 to 1 or axle 1 under the engine the car falls on its face

The biggest reason that these guys have engine gears that are half as thick as a new one they don't align the sprockets with car on the ground with the driver in the car.

Also, what is a good jet size?

What gear split do you recommend?
