Judges have to be impeached in the House with a majority then have to be convicted in the Senate with 67 votes. This situation will only change if Biden or A future Dem president adds more justices to the court. He would have to have a majority in the senate and filibuster would have to go away also.

I’m 72 and sometimes remembering just when I learned things is a bit cloudy. So, I think that elementary school was when we started leaning about the founding of the United States, the reasons for the revolution and the principles. Of the many beliefs and goal was that we did not royalty - kings or queens . No one was above the law. This has been reinforced at nearly every turn - from Washington refusing to take a third term to Nixon resigning rather than facing impeachment and criminal trial. Now SCOTUS has thrown all of that out the door. We lived for over 200 years without immunity for a president. We don’t need it now. IMPEACH the majority signees of this decisions.

@@thewkovacs316I grew up in the US but live elsewhere now. In retrospect I'm absolutely astonished at how much propaganda I was subjected to about the US constitution. There were huge problems with it right out of the gate (electoral college never once worked as intended for instance) and many more issues have accumulated over the centuries.
The US is in a full blown constitutional crisis *right now today* and the American people absolutely need to start fresh with a new constitution. There's nothing shameful about that, it happens over time within basically any political system. But because of propaganda Americans simply cannot see the problem for what it is and cling to a constitution that is in full and total collapse. This decision is just another nail in the coffin.

Article 3 section 2 of the constitution gives Congress the power to make regulations and exceptions for Supreme Court jurisdiction.

“In all the other cases before mentioned, the Supreme Court shall have appellate jurisdiction, both as to law and fact, with such exceptions, and under such regulations as the Congress shall make.”
A democratic Congress could do this. It would only require a majority, not two thirds.

The majority of Americans feel the Supreme Court's rulings are out of step, but we have little power in changing that dynamic given the structure of the Electoral College.

Gas was cheap during covid because no one was driving anywhere. It was literally on sale to keep inventory moving to generate an income stream. They were begging us to buy it with low prices like any department store trying to unload inventory. It's econ 101 supply and demand. It took so long because it is a major issue that is underpinned in both jurisprudence and the constitution. The basis of scotus ruling is the “affirmative of the issue”, in which the the Court now says that they find it hard to believe that the President in his official duties can be so easily incriminated. The court is really saying to the prosecutors that you have to prove that President acted unofficially, by legal standards. It is now very difficult to prosecute on frivolous and capriciously on some idiots whim and fancy.
