Lovely! Jan’s cello has such a sweet tone. And he seems like a very down-to-earth guy for one of the world’s leading cellists. I enjoyed the comments he made on the Beethoven sonata, which will help me appreciate the piece better when I hear it on Dreamstage on Jan. 23, especially as it is a work that is particularly meaningful to him, having spent hundreds of hours 😲 rehearsing it when he was a teenage prodigy. Tiffany, you need a chair with lockable wheels! Or stuff something against them to hold them in place. 😉 Great to see you having fun playing together again. 🎶🐿
@@juansefm Of course. Just saying that it looks funny because of how the act of piano playing is usually shown. One of the reasons I love what Tiffany does is she shows respect for the art, and also shows us the real world.
I noticed where Jan came in a little later at that one point that you guys went back and fixed. It's great seeing you two working together. Also, welcome to playing piano sitting in a swivel chair. It definitely takes some getting used to.
I was not familiar with cello until Tiffany announced the concert with Jan. Since then I keep listening to the pieces of the concert and I find that this piano cello duet has so much power of expression. Especially when these two wonderful musicians are playing together! I look forward!
What an exceptional Beethoven duet. I listened to it first thing in the morning while drinking my tea. It was soothing. Thank you for sharing your rehearsal.
Thanks for sharing this Tiffany! 3 observations: 1) you have rosy cheeks that day 😄2)it’s amazing you can play on a chair with wheels 3) you two work really well together! I look forward to the concert!
As a Blues and Jazz guy, I'm still new to Classical listening, but it helps with my terrible anxiety and depression, a wonderful alternative to pills, and I refuse flatly to do pills. I have a lot to catch up on, music wise here.😂 Thanks Tiffany & Jan, oh I want to physically attend concerts when this pandemic is finally at a close and restrictions are lifted.
I agree. I enjoy watching and listening to "Suites violoncelle JS Bach / Marc Coppey". There is something about how confident he is with is fingering that requires just enough concentration to help me relax. I can not meditate on nothing because my mind can not slow down. But having something to watch or listen to that does not take a lot of my concentration is helpful.
These videos are soooo interesting. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to have an insight in the creative process behind classical music. I’ve never felt so close to it ! It’s such a pleasure. ❤️
I love this "Tiffany Tuesday" vlog. Jan Vogler is such a fabulous musician *and* human being. Having fun making music is an essential part of ensemble playing, imho. The concert January 23 surely will be a great musical experience. I can't wait!
Yays! Can't wait to wtch the entire thing. So glad music allows you to make good friends, Tiffany. Wishing the best for your cincert! Have a nice day. 🌻🎹
It’s lovely that you’re able to balance the social media pressure. I can’t wait to listen to your album, it’s been too long since you released an album
14:30 Looking forward to Part 2 to hear Tiffany's thoughts on ability to "feel the audience" during virtual concerts. I imagine musicians are deeply engaged and concentrating on the music during performance, so ability to "feel of an audience" might only be missed at the end of the performance.
Me too. Because I have seen how divided the spirits of artists are regarding playing for a "virtual" vs "real" audience. Some refused plainly to give virtual concerts because they only can play comfortably feeling the vibes of a live audience. Others do play virtually although they say it's not the same thing. Others feel comfy either way. It is quite interesting.
I love hearing the two of you play!!! The best collaborations in my opinion are the ones where you get along really well with the person you’re playing with!!🥰❤️🎉👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Yippee!!! A Beethoven from the fingers of Tiffany. Your playing was wonderful as was Jan's. I hope you will tackle more of Beethoven music in the future, you play it well.
Encouraged much + learned much from you & from Jan Vogler’s comments. So much possibility + potential to aim for because of the ideas shared. Thank you.
Love this. Good to see you rosey cheeked, socially awkward and yet happy to see another human being in person for once! Rehearsals looked fun! Look forward to the concert. :)
Damn watching this is so interesting! Anyway I have to say that the “interview/q&a” in between the practice is a really funny editing, good job Tiffany 🙏🏻 looking forward to the concert
Wait how did you manage to upload it so soon? I think you filmed it yesterday 😅. Thanks a lot for all the hard work you put behind for your videos. Wish you best luck for your concert
all concert pianists shall spend the rest of their life struggling on one of the piano pieces im composing rn. its difficulty is almost superhuman. i will send link through your facebook when its done.
Hi Tiffany, I have been hesitant to ask, but seeing this practice video... I wonder if you and Jan might consider not wearing masks during your concert. The better to be able to see the expressions of you both. This was something I missed during your last Dreamstage concert. Good luck with the show. I’ll be there.
Hi 👋👋👋 How much a piano costs . Or an electronic piano . Can u tell please . I saw ur new piano unboxing video . Super 💪💪👌👌 . How much ur new piano cost
The piano Tiffany has is a Steinway Model B and is on loan to her from the manufacturer. You can't compare this to an electronic piano. If you are looking to purchase a piano, there is something for everyone's budget, but most people will not be able to afford or willling to spend the money on a grand piano.
Prices vary widely, and acoustic pianos need regular tuning and maintenance (ideally 2-3 times a year depending on use), which adds to the cost. It's also a matter of space, and, if you live rental or condo, if an acoustic piano is allowed at all. Grands always are expensive, although there are overstock sales by manufacturer or dealership where one can get a nice deal. There is also a used / rebuilt piano market, however you only should get one of those from a reputable dealer or piano shop, and with a guarantee; although there are opportunities like a private sale from an Estate, divorce or foreclosure. But NEVER buy an acoustic piano without seeing it yourself and trying it out like Tiffany did in two of her vlogs; and for a sale from a private source have it inspected by a piano technician. Having said that, the digital piano technology has made stunning progress in the last couple years. I live in a small apartment in a building with strict rules about music and noise, and got myself a Roland FP10 which comes stunningly close to the real thing. Can't complain at all, but the Roland FP30 allows for 3 pedals and has onboard recording feature to a standard memory stick. Both Roland models were under 800 dollars on Amazon as for December 2019, plus the cost of the pedals. Yamaha makes electronic pianos that are very close to real ones as well. Hope this helps.
Please tell your friend Jan how wonderful your viewers think it is to see two professionals working together like this. It really adds a personal touch to concert music performances. Thank you!!
Will do!
Whenever I see a video like this, I wish I was one of your neighbors.
11 days and counting. Got my ticket.
Hans, I found you can simulate this by placing a speaker + subwoofer outside and blast it loudly
Jan Vogler is so humble the way he is!
Listening to this makes me realise how little classical music I actually know...I need to go and expand my classical music knowledge!
Happens to me all the time :)
Yeah, it is an ongoing and lifetime process !

Haha I was so stupid. Completely forgot that I could have used the blankets under the piano to lock the wheels like Eric did last time...
I was also nervous 💗 she could fall off!
i'm here early so Tiffany does well with the algorithm
I am also here so Tiffany does well with the algorithm 👍
I am also here so Tiffany does well with the algorithm
Here because I love music and because we all have to be united behind her hard work in behalf of great causes. Do well Tiffany.
I am not here early but I hope Tiffany does well with the algorithm.
Lmao
10:20 Tiff is so amazingly good. She does these one-handed runs so perfectly easy!
LOVE HIS PLAYING. Thank you Tiffany. Thank you Jan. Thank you Beethoven.
What's a Tiffany vlog without me laughing somewhere, and smiling through out the video??? ❤️🤗😁🙂😂🤣
Jan's cello playing is just like sweet like Tiffany's piano playing.
Congratulations!
Incredibly moving for myself!
Great to see and hear. It's so hilariously weird to see someone play piano sitting in an OFFICE CHAIR! Cracks me up.
It is much more common than you think, piano benches are super uncomfortable after a couple hours of practice!
@@juansefm Of course. Just saying that it looks funny because of how the act of piano playing is usually shown. One of the reasons I love what Tiffany does is she shows respect for the art, and also shows us the real world.
Thanks, Tiffany! It’s my first time seeing pianist sitting on a rolling chair when playing😆
I noticed where Jan came in a little later at that one point that you guys went back and fixed. It's great seeing you two working together. Also, welcome to playing piano sitting in a swivel chair. It definitely takes some getting used to.
It’s a crazy feeling when one gets to work with musicians that you admire a lot, so happy for you Tiffany and looking forward to the concert :)
her piano is so beautiful it makes me want to cry

What a beautiful sound Jan has!

I find the combination of piano and cello is always to win ❤️
Wonderful!
It’s nice to have some post-Beethoven year playing!!
How do you know you are making the world a better place? When so many are happy that you shared rehearsal.
Thank you Tiffany!
I love how in the 2nd movement, you were answering each other so perfectly!!! The voicing was on point!

Nice to see you interacting with musicians(through music as well)! Will definitely be there to help musicians in New York
Wonderful to see Tiffany and Jan collaborating to create beautiful music. He really makes his cello hum and sing.
you look radiant, tiffany!! you’re glowing with happiness, in my opinion. i’m glad you get to perform with jan these few days!! all the best 💗
Thank you Tiffany and Jan. Classical music has so many good health benefits listening and playing it.
There is nothing more beautiful than the fun of sharing chamber music!!
You are marvelous 💕 together!!

As soon as i hit play, i give a thumps up! We love you tiffany
amazing, that s what i want to watch and listening on youtube. QUALITY
Yippee!!! A Beethoven from the fingers of Tiffany. Your playing was wonderful as was Jan's. I hope you will tackle more of Beethoven music in the future, you play it well.
Looks like you are both having so much fun! Weird office chair thing happening - though it would have been weirder for Jan to use the chair!
Looking forward to seeing part 2 !

I spent most of yesterday editing... Because I really want people to listen to classical music and join our concert on January 23rd 😳🥺
Also a quick photography/videography tip. Don't sit to close to the camera and near the ages of the frames. It distorts you
@@angelmeneg6507 With social distancing you sometimes need to be on the edge of the frame 😄
So exited for the concert!!

I think you're already seeing half of it here.
Jan is a real taskmaster. "Do you want to play this?" "Do you want to play more?" "One more time"
