It was actually a Canadian mine. Me and another guy, Shaggnar, placed them off the bridge hoping they would bypass it. Didn't know it worked though lol. The Militia guy didn't know they were there.

The most impressive thing about these spectator games is that it is all public lobbies. Squad's gameplay naturally produces epic moments all over the map.
This game would do great with a replay system.

Depends. Sometimes you get team with zero cohesiveness, and other times you get beautiful fights between two amazingly cohesive factions.

I had said the same one day about milsims. It's possible to construct a reward system so robust that fulfilling game tasks is itself roleplaying.

These perspectives are fun to watch when you remember where you were during this round. The mines on and off of the bridge were Canadian mines. Shaggnar and I placed them hoping somebody would bypass the bridge. Didn't know it actually worked lol. This was a really fun round. Poor DocFronk didn't know what hit him.

Spectator-cam games are so interesting! There is something for every squad-gameplay enjoyer: helicopter drama, armour engagements, infantry gameplay--it has it all! I love this series.
This is one of the sickest gameplay vids I've seen, EVER.
I'm not sure if it's possible with Squad, but it would be great if you could do videos like Dslyexci "In Hindsight" series for ARMA 3. So instead of live commentary of the whole round, showing important things from different angles, explaining what was the plan and how it worked or why it didn't work
I was Squad 6 on the caf side. We were stuck on the rock for a good 10 minutes. We knew the tank was there, we heard it and we saw it but in the gunner position, we were blind. After we got hit, that tracked us on the right side and the gunner had eyes on it. I think that's the best luck on squad I've ever had, ruined when I completely missed the BMP haha. Trying to shoot into that building was a nightmare, tked 2 people during that as well. I had to leave early, but damn was that a good game. Glad it got captured on stream.
That fob setup reminded me of those neighbors who would set up a mini haunted house in their garage on halloween. Fog machines, people behind obvious fake walls, stupidly maze-like... I mean it's uncanny
I was on the caf side of that game and that last FOB was fucking scary man.
God this gameplay was sick. Watching the tank duel around 15:00 live was insane

Man i never felt so relaxed before, for some reason.
invasions like this make me think that Militia is going to get a re-work because insurgents get two habs when defending against conventional forces but militia do not yet they are nearly identical factions. So the only reason why OWI would not give that same capability to Militia when they gave it to insurgents is that they are going to fundamentally change their play style.

Awesome video! It'd be nice to see some more infantry gameplay and maybe some map overlays post recording, maybe like do a heat map in the future which shows popular spots for HABs and common infantry routes so people can learn where to expect enemy and develop game strategies? I know thats a lot to ask, but I think thatd really push things to the next level!

I was playing this layer (Or similar Goose Bay) the first week of V2, and we had a similar siege at headquarters. The BlueFor cleared it out, but the game didn't end at that point. It was almost over though, and there was 30-40 guys in headquarters digging down the hab/bullshitting/rearming/bandaging/making sure all the IMF were dead. So like 5+ people had their mics queued having all these random convos. Some cheeky Canadian queued his mic and played the best sounding through mic IED ringtone I've ever heard. Like 10 people (including me) yelled IED, and 40 canadians cleared out of that building through every window and door in like 2 seconds. Was hilarious when no IED went off.

I actually had a similar situation on this map where the leopard got stuck in trees and we went and took them out with just infantry just north of Fishing Village

I like this map, but on the 5th Wing HQ cap, you can just sit on the outside of that perimeter wall and cap the point. The cap radius is so big it makes this flag stupid to defend.
That battle at the end looked like Syria but with snow.

I don't want to be the party pooper, the video is great, so my critic is towards the game and ive been saying this since beta versions:
The game designers and devs *need* to start considering building destruction or *at least* wall penetration. It is an absolute turn-off that all of that huge artillery did absolutely nothing to all of those guys inside those wooden houses. It's totally unrealistic as well that walls can provide cover from large caliber. It's 2021 and a lot it already possible to implement, and it's already been done for at least 10 years on a few games.
This would be the absolute game changer, tactics, realism everything would be turned up 10 notches.
Now buildings and walls need to be destructible

This and arma are the only reasons why i would by a pc
