I think was very well written: expressive, action based, that is, active voice, an quite detailed in its creepiness. The narrator did a great job. Thanks for the upload.
Funny I think when it's a ghost story narrated,do we expect a British English accent? So when an American narrator comes on..we are surprised..Let's listen..love a bit of spooky!!🙂
I've heard some great libravox stories and narrators including this 1 but Andy Mintor narrates man size in marble is the best so far ! Check it out when u have time and you won't regret it!
I listened to The Brothers Karamazov on Librwvox and it was like an LSD trip, they had several different readers and one of the sounded exactly like Kim Kardashian it was the best and worst thing I had ever heard. Thank God it was free! 😂😂😂
I really liked this. First time listening to this channel. That said, it ended sort of abruptly... perhaps have some find of music or sound of the waves to end it off? Also, some parts could have benefited from a slower telling. Just a little slower to allow folks to savour the creepy factor! :-)
Until now, Librevox only had male narrators with either nasally, squeaky (Phil Geinevere ?) voices, like nails on a chalkboard, I wasn't able to listen. Another bonus is the narrator isn't a Brit.

This was wonderful. Thank you for providing it
Thoroughly enjoyed this ghostly story, the American narrator was a surprise, but he read the tale masterfully, keeping the suspense until the end
Thank you, Librivox!

who is we?
Well I live in the states so personally i expect an American accent lol
I agree. A British accent, for me, adds yet another delicious layer of other-ness and long-ago-ness to the story and somehow makes it scarier.
The Empty Sleeve is a great story as well. 😊

Why in the world did they go at night like idiots?
Enjoyed that.Thank you🙂
Great story and excellent job on the narration!
Thank you.
The narrator has apparently casted an elderly Katherine Hepburn for the role of Julia
The author is Algernon Blackwood. Not sure why he isn't credited. He's a great ghost story writer! 👻

Wish you slowed it down a bit. But it was great.
We can do that with RUclips settings
I know it's hard to narrate the opposite sex and you do a good job, it's a shame you can't make her sound a bit sweeter
Did the narrator really just say "That's why I WYATT for you? its WAIT ruclips.net/video/A1z4y63mLH4/видео.html @ 4:55

Algernon Blackwood: Prolific output but poor hack stuff.
