I like it when you and Ashens do collabs. You two have good dynamics together and despite Ashen being the more powerful presence, he doesn't overshadow you at all. It's pretty keen.
Same here, I really enjoy these Bashens collaborations. Barry and Stuart have good chemistry, the are able to joke around well and play off each other.
+Barry Lewis They are vegan! In the US lots of vegans won't eat them because they use bone char sugar but in the UK they use beet sugar which doesn't use bone char filtering - its the one reason why I struggle to eat healthy!
+Christian Schmidt I had some knockoff Oreos that were from some gluten free line (Glutino, maybe?), I don't think I could eat regular Oreos ever again... I mean, think of a Double Stuffed Oreo and then make the cream creamier and better tasting, and the cookies firm rather than hard.
The 'twisted mallows' reminded me of ashens' video 'delicious mallows' and now I can't get that song out of my head 'Delicious mallows, delicious mallows, they're fetted and they're sweaty and they make you want to Luke delicious mallows'
The lumarki look like Giotto. Also the Kinder Keks are apparently meant to be dipped in a liquid (for example milk). They hold their shape when wet and are easy for toddlers to eat. Particularly before they drop all their teeth.
The first thing I thought when I saw that stick thing was called King Tango, was to remember those old tango ads in the 90's with the big genie like guy who went around slapping peoples faces when they had a drink of the stuff. Only with a crown on his head now.
That tango thing reminded me of that squirty tango that used to be sold. I only saw it in a few shops, and it wasn't very long, so I'm guessing it didn't sell very well which is a shame since I loved it
Those crisps, both by their shape, description and how the both of you reacted to them, make me want them, as well as more commas, and a book on comma-addiction.
Found you through the inimitable Athens. I love your channel! New subscriber here, thanks so much for all the great entertainment. Three out of my three hedgehogs agree you’re awesome! 😆👍🏻❤️🦔🦔🦔
Cofresh Crisps. made in leicester about 3 miles from where I live. Eat them all the time. there's chilli and lemon, they also do a Jalapeno version as well
I made Nutella chocolate chip cookies for a French class back in high school and the Nutella oozed out like described here. It was so good. Homemade is the best for these cookies for sure.
I sometimes get the Jalapeno potato grill things from Poundland, and they're pretty good. The Fish & Chips are awesome! I remember having them as a kid when they were in a red pack. But there was only S&V flavour, now you can get S&V, Pickled Onion & Curry
Watching this oh so many years later, seeing King Tango spray hit me with a wave of nostalgia. Looking up the Tango brand, it saddens me to see how Tango Cherry hasn't been around for quite some time. And like with plenty of other food & drink products, I miss the packaging design from my youth, the diagrams of the fruit. Lilt seems to be making a bit of a comeback though, although Fanta has done away with their retro logo for a bland simplistic one. While Aldi & Lidl sell off brand with designs closer to the classic one.
Really glad when I saw the Nougatellis lol. I've bought those plenty of times before. Only grievance I have with them is you only get like 6 in a packet.
"Bashens"? Something tells me you might regret giving yourselves that nickname when the inevitable fanfiction is released, You have just given yourselves a shipping handle
9:10 The way he said "butter filling" sounded simultaneously like a super strong Californian accent and some kind of Irish accent and now my brain is hearing the similarities between the two..
Rusks which he compared them to are technically baby food too but lots of adults enjoy them, so he probably realised they were meant to be for babies :)
Will you have a go at a Starbucks cookie that is an oat cookie filled with Nutella?!? It is my favourite cookie ever and I would love to make it at home!
just to let anyone know.. those lemon and chili crisps are now being sold in super markets like Tesco and Sainsburys for 2.99 each! they must of done really well.. or were left over stock from somewhere mo idea!
Whenever I hang out in town with my best friend, we always bob into Poundland. They sell my favourite shampoos and conditioners cheaper than other places. They were still selling those fish and chip crisps in supermarkets in the later 90's/early 00's. They're soooo good! Forgot all about them until I noticed them in Poundland. I was pretty much restricted to Flumps, Freddos and Chomps sweet-wise. Keks is biscuit. So Kinder Keks is basically children biscuit.
Ludwig Von Koopa And now I have to try these chips ahoy. Are they like the squishy Chips Ahoy ones with the chocolate cream inside? Microwaving those a few seconds before eating and it's heaven.
schalkespringer Yep. They're soft. But the Oreo cream makes them that much more Mmmmmmmmmm. Unfortunately not many of them come in a pack and they're fairly small. Wah :(
I love poundland - I remember when it used to get a lot of, shall we say, 'mick' taken out of it for being a 'cheapy' shop though (I also remember Lidl's having the same reaction when they first appeared, especially by the younger generation!) I think they've definitely more than redeemed themselves! Sadly I don't have one as local as I'd like, closest is around 20 minutes drive, & as I don't drive at the moment I only have the chance to pop over a few times a year. I make sweet bags for my nieces / nephews / friends children at christmas - I stock up on all individually pre-packaged sweeties, as well as cleaning products & some things for myself. They never disappoint! 99p store is huge & in the same vicinity too so I feel like I cheat on poundland when I go in ;) I am always amazed at products I've never heard of or seen before though - you may have given me some courage to pick some up next time!
I wish I could give two likes to this video, Barry. One for the video proper and the second for the Echo the Dolphin Mega Drive background! I loved that game as well!
I like it when you and Ashens do collabs. You two have good dynamics together and despite Ashen being the more powerful presence, he doesn't overshadow you at all. It's pretty keen.
Same here, I really enjoy these Bashens collaborations. Barry and Stuart have good chemistry, the are able to joke around well and play off each other.
i miss the food specials so i have to rewatch them in 2024
10 years on youtube and these two are still my favorite
Bardia Same. And will always be same.
I realized why I like you both, You remind me of Shaun of the Dead.
YES
YES I LOVE YOU
o.o
I WANT YOUR BABIES
Hahaha
A curious fact about Oreos is that Oreo is itself a knockoff of Hydrox cookies which were invented four years earlier.
Oreos are vegan too I heard
+joshua powell
I thought everyone knew that Oreos came from cows?
+Barry Lewis They are vegan! In the US lots of vegans won't eat them because they use bone char sugar but in the UK they use beet sugar which doesn't use bone char filtering - its the one reason why I struggle to eat healthy!
+Christian Schmidt
I had some knockoff Oreos that were from some gluten free line (Glutino, maybe?), I don't think I could eat regular Oreos ever again... I mean, think of a Double Stuffed Oreo and then make the cream creamier and better tasting, and the cookies firm rather than hard.
sick
New videos by Barry and Ashen make my rod spin out of control. Holy mackeral!
On the twisted mallow packet, it looks like Beaker from the Muppets finally went mental.
10:25 Barry: "Cover it in nuts"
Also barry, puts beans on screen
"I felt my rod spin out of control" -Random Fisherman Dad 19-something-something
That Tango Rolly reminds me of the 'Brain Licker' sweets, which were basically a roll-on sort of sweet. The liquid, I guess, is more bitter though.
I remember them!!!
Who's Brian Licker?
Oh my god! I have eaten the daily fish-n-chips with vinegar here in poland!
It costed around 1.50 Pounds.
They are f*cking Delicious! :)
I love these two together. Their personalities mesh so well.
I'd love it if it turned out the O2 Arena was sponsored by fake Oreos and not the telecommunications company.
Or just sponsored by oxygen
The 'twisted mallows' reminded me of ashens' video 'delicious mallows' and now I can't get that song out of my head
'Delicious mallows, delicious mallows, they're fetted and they're sweaty and they make you want to Luke delicious mallows'
What I really needed for a good Sunday were spaghetti and two new videos of Barry and Dr. Ashen tasting interesting food! Thanks!
These two are a great combination
Those biscuits are for small children XD( thats why they say "childrens biscuit") The company is a baby food producer...
They were aware
Oh, are they similar to Zwiebacks?
The lumarki look like Giotto. Also the Kinder Keks are apparently meant to be dipped in a liquid (for example milk). They hold their shape when wet and are easy for toddlers to eat. Particularly before they drop all their teeth.
Holy hell that Rolly thing is so incredibly awkwardly suggestive to eat.
Pajama Sam Tango have quite a suggestive, cheeky branding so it was probably deliberate
If I'm ever getting snacks or sweets I always go Poundland! It's worth it
I was worried during the upside down King Tango bit Barry did a bad job getting goo on the rim but Ashen's tongue made quick work of that! Bravo
The first thing I thought when I saw that stick thing was called King Tango, was to remember those old tango ads in the 90's with the big genie like guy who went around slapping peoples faces when they had a drink of the stuff.
Only with a crown on his head now.
Brilliant you two work very well together.
Stuart inhaled that flump 😂
That tango thing reminded me of that squirty tango that used to be sold. I only saw it in a few shops, and it wasn't very long, so I'm guessing it didn't sell very well which is a shame since I loved it
Wow Baz! You have over 300k subs! It wasn't very long ago when you were looking forward to 100k. Well done man. Keep up the great work
Those crisps, both by their shape, description and how the both of you reacted to them, make me want them, as well as more commas, and a book on comma-addiction.
I love those chilli and lemon crisps. Can easily eat a full bag. I haven't seen them for a while though.
Those tango rolly things got banned in school, because the teachers said they were inappropriate
When kids took the wrappers off
what you do is then ask "why is it inappropriate"
@@themasteronhigh1665 I used to use them as dildos before I was old enough to buy dildos
@@tomkenning5482 I hope you at least emptied them out first. Otherwise that might lead to all kinds of infections.
I think it was the pure level of sugar that was in them..
So this is the origin of Barshens.
Did I see Ecco the Dolphin?!
Oh my god, you are my favourite obscure reference channels!
Found you through the inimitable Athens. I love your channel! New subscriber here, thanks so much for all the great entertainment. Three out of my three hedgehogs agree you’re awesome! 😆👍🏻❤️🦔🦔🦔

Y'all should have done a 'Lady and the Tramp' moment with the long marshmallow twists, just to fuel the barshens fanfictions.
I'd like to see a Map of Britain, that indicates how many You tubers there are per square mile.
Britain or California
Why
Those O² biscuits probably had more O² in the packet then there are biscuits
:/
*cookie
Subscript, my boy. Subscript !
biscuits* proper spelling
also run a phone network ;)
Love the Ecco the Dolphin screenshot they had in the background for a bit.
I LOVE those Cofresh Chilli and Lemon! Found them years ago in a local market, now Tesco do them. Epic snack.
When they bash the salt and vinegar twirls and I'm here with a mouth full😂
The babysitting emoticon is my final form
keks is biscuits in German so kinder keks means children biscuits
Yes I know.
Helen Arden I...don't think that was directed at you...
Yes I know.
kEK.
Yeah I'm learning german and der Keks sound so nice so I never forget it's biscuits
I sometimes get the Jalapeno potato grill things from Poundland, and they're pretty good. The Fish & Chips are awesome! I remember having them as a kid when they were in a red pack. But there was only S&V flavour, now you can get S&V, Pickled Onion & Curry
oh gawd, What I would do to see both Barry and Ashens on an episode of Wreckless Eating!
The texture taste and smell of those mallow things give me the dry boke.
My favourite Fish 'n' Chips flavour is the curry sauce
knock of oreos you should try are "marios best" there really nice the vanilla ice cream flavour
+Dylan west the worst ive seen on the U.S east coast is a supermarket brand called Wegman-O's and they're pretty damn awful.
+Joshua Howard Really? I've never tried them but usually wegmans store brand stuff is as good or sometimes better than the name brand version.
Dylan west chesters hotfries boi

The background images are just my daily thoughts
please do a giant food episode with ashens. it would be so funn
I bloody love Daily Fish 'n' Chips!
The cookies with gooey fillings are awesome if you heat them up in the microwave for a few seconds, I do it with the Maryland ones.
Unlisted? this is a first
Just woke up am in Florida lol
+Barry Lewis your in the states super groovy
+Barry Lewis Haha, i live in Florida, you picked a crappy time to come.
+GamingPhone really kinda rainy
David G Yeah and the hurricane hits tomorrow.
"Bashens"? Something tells me you might regret giving yourselves that nickname when the inevitable fanfiction is released, You have just given yourselves a shipping handle
Does anyone remember a tango drink that u sprayed instead of drinking in 2012
Was that the vid with the Bolognese pot thing ?
Yes where did that go it was like foam
Yes where did that go it was like foam
Lewis Holden I'm not to sure..
It was limited edition, it was called turbo tangible
Love you barry i could watch you do anything
9:10 The way he said "butter filling" sounded simultaneously like a super strong Californian accent and some kind of Irish accent and now my brain is hearing the similarities between the two..
poundland is called dealz in Ireland 🇮🇪
Is it just me who thinks flumps sounds like a disease ?
+Oliver Rees ... Sorry, I can't come out tonight ... I've got a terrible case of the flumps...
probably thinking of mumps...I don't blame you.
I think that flump sounds like a euphemism for fart.
It's the Flu Virus and Mumps combined to make a super virus, rolled into one tasty marshmallow.
Like mumps
I am impressed by how handily Ashens won the mallow-eating contest
I was in England in 2012 and i loved poundland ! 4 Energydrinks for 1 Pound ^^
Poundland: the British version of the Dollar Tree. Of which, is one of my favorite shops.
As a German let me tell you Alete = Babyfood company.
+Hugo Brömme
Alete kotzt das Kind!

Rusks which he compared them to are technically baby food too but lots of adults enjoy them, so he probably realised they were meant to be for babies :)
Well I'll admit this was much more palatable than the Slaton sister marshmallow eating competition! 🤣
I love these Nougatelli Cookies. This is the only brand with these kind of cookies i found to be good so far.
Mate what happened why do we not see more of these lol
I love those chilli and lemon grills, they're sold at Asda and Tesco's too.
Will you have a go at a Starbucks cookie that is an oat cookie filled with Nutella?!? It is my favourite cookie ever and I would love to make it at home!
Love FishNChips.... nicest crisps ever.
+alpha ginge the best are pickled onion
*chips
I love daddy Now that's 2 flavours I didn't know existed.
I love daddy NO, pal. They are crisps. Use our language properly.
+jim jimjim you're dumb ass, they chips
just to let anyone know.. those lemon and chili crisps are now being sold in super markets like Tesco and Sainsburys for 2.99 each! they must of done really well.. or were left over stock from somewhere mo idea!
Seriously Jony Ive from Apple doesn't only obviously have the same accent as Barry but their body language is SO similiar too!
i love you both equally

Google it.
Keks is actually a way to say cookies in German.
Source: Took German for years.
4:20 "2 RUclipsrs 1 Cup"
"I bet that joke's never been made before", he lied.
Those nutella cookies remind me of some here in America that have Oreo creme inside.
+gdog662 Mmmmmmm.... I know what you're talking about.
We get em here in Canada too.
+Ludwig Von Koopa (ルドウィグ ボン クーパ)
I think you mean the Peak Freans?
God those are delicious.
schalkespringer No, they're actually limited edition Chips Ahoy. But i may have to try Peak Freans, even though i've never even seen them.
Ludwig Von Koopa And now I have to try these chips ahoy. Are they like the squishy Chips Ahoy ones with the chocolate cream inside?

I love the "echo the dolphin" background
Used to be a corn snack called Wackies back in the late 70s that were shaped like that. They were salt n vinegar flavoured.
my favourite is the fish and chips they are amazing I could sit and eat them all day.
Ashens ate that mallow like a deadly serious professional
The days when poundland sold things for a pound are sadly past and gone...
these crispy balls with the hazelnut cream reminded me of "giotto". you should totally try these, they are amazing!

You guys should eat bits of the floor from pound land or maybe just lick stuff around the shop
Ahhh.. I love those chilli and lemon crisps
I wish I could give two likes to this video, Barry. One for the video proper and the second for the Echo the Dolphin Mega Drive background! I loved that game as well!
Bashens. I ship it.
I had those chilli and lemon crisps - they're so nice!
Am I the only one that finds Asher really attractive everytime I see him. I can't watch his videos for fear of becoming a stalker 🤭🤭🤭
Cofresh are a brand name ^^ - I eat a lot of their mixed Sev and things like that.
Fish and chips were a playground staple when I was in school!
In ireland, Poundland is called dealz and everything is €1.46 I think
3:20 Stuart does his best Derren Brown impression for the green screen.
The DAISO $2.80/100 YEN store put a notice up that some of their items now cost more than that.
King Tango? 'King great snack.
really wish they still did videos together. Miss Barshens
I love those fish and chips! Not a lot in them though, would love a huge bag instead! (I believe they used to come in massive bags)
You can bye the fish and chip crisps at loads of local shops in the U.k my dad loves them!!!
