Going into the 2023 season (which means the 2022 season) the NFC East was the best division from a record perspective which is what Micah is saying. No team was below .500. So Micah is right in this argument. I think CJ is thinking about this past season.

In 2022-23 NFC East had 2 teams who were in the top 4 of the NFL power rankings until week 14.
When was the last 2 times Steelers, Browns, Bengals, Ravens made it to a SB? 2021? Before that was when? 2013? Okay…
AFC North is deeper as of 2023-24 season, but prior to that, it was an absolutely awful conference for a while. Browns were basically an automatic win for the past 20 years and we’re acting like they’re a better program than Giants or Redskins in the past decade… lmfao come on now.
Meanwhile NFC East hasn’t had a repeat winner in over 20 years because it’s that competitive and has 2 of the top 3 NFC teams in their conference for the past 2, going on 3, years (on paper).

AFC North literally almost had all 4 teams in the playoffs until Joe Burrow got injured.
The Ravens were dominating NFC teams easily, destroyed the Seahawks, annihilated the Lions, and humiliated the AFC Dolphins who beat the Cowboys The Ravens walked into the best team in the entire NFC own home and picked off their MVP caliber QB 4 times.
The Browns, even with a QB carousel, still was arguably a top 5 team in the NFL.
Even the Steelers with one of the league worst offenses still made the playoffs.
We are talking about a division where the bottom team was an SB favorite until their QB went down.

Non of that even matters if your not going to a divisional playoff game or superbowl on a consistent basis. Bears fan here saying draft day was great and we are on our way but we aren't a playoff team yet or even a superbowl favorite. In so many words, until we can consistently win 10 games per year, Make it to the NFC Championship, then win 3 of 5 Superbowls within a 5 year period its all just food for thought.
