This video was shot at 11 AM on a Tuesday. It's very sad what has happened to the Rochester downtown in the past few years. At one time, it was vibrant.
I grew up in Rochester. It was vibrant, also safe and well cared for. The exodus to the suburbs began in the '50's. With your taxes it will be hard to stop the downward spiral
While watching the video, click on the the settings icon on the lower right of the screen and adjust the speed to whatever you want, slower or faster. Many people prefer to speed it up which is why the videos are silent.
The problem in Rochester and many American cities is that whole blocks downtown were demolished for parking lots, thus causing huge gaps in the walkability of the area. This reduced downtown cityscape contributes to emptiness and eventually blight. Rochester has absolutely beautiful architecture and a lot to offer. It needs more people to believe in it and revitalize it. Oh, and it needs to rid itself of its city government and start over.
Nice job, the city looks neat and clean.
Thank you.
Where.did all the people go

crazy how empty it seems, 30 years ago these streets were full of people.
Video was taken on a Tuesday morning at 11:30 AM. That is how quiet it has become.
insane.. that street used to be packed with cars at that time.@@rpol7966
I don’t recognize the Rod …left it in 1999
I really think on a tour piece like this you could slow it down so places can be made out easier.

I agree one hundred percent! Thank you for your response.
Now, to present a more balanced video, go drive around the numerous derelict neighborhoods in the city...
There's plenty of them already on RUclips.
Rod Chester always sucked..never going back
Why does it suck? Sure it has its problems, but I find it to be a very beautiful city with a lot to offer.
Never heard the nickname "Rod" or "Rod Chester" and I've been here 50 years. Troll someplace else.
We don’t want you to come back!!
