My trips to the extreme borders and remote glacial lakes have often been nightmarish. Several times I've been stuck on high passes overnight...
Finally this year I bought this 4X4 Maruti Jimny, my first car ever (I don't buy cars)... to liberate myself from these fears.
Recently, due to some deadlines, I had to travel from Chennai in south India to Daulat Beg Oldie, India's northernmost military airfield in 24 hours...
After landing at Leh Airport this 'Made in India' car took us through some 1,200 Km along extreme borders in extreme conditions in Ladakh.

Sir, you did full justice and more to the Maruti sponsorship of this video. Interesting for someone who never buys cars, you are a brave driver to drive in those tough and scary terrains- very impressive. Personally, I do not like driving , not for green reasons, just hate dealing with traffic and crazy drivers. Ladakh is very beautiful, good thing is that its altitude and harsh temperatures keep public away from moving there permanently and destroying it.

How can i forget the trip to this lovely land, pride of India Ladakh. Passes,beautiful pangong lake, treacherous roads, turtuk, Tsomoriri to Hanley, we travelled for 12 days. I wish it stays as green and will not be polluted by senseless travellers. Salute to the brave soldiers guarding our country in extreme weather. After my m emorable travel I wanted all the politicians to be sent here compulsarily to know the ground realities!!!!!

This car is a replacement of gypsy I feel. And MS has fulfilled all wishes people expected from gypsy but were absent. If petrol was available in our country and hence affordable. And cost of vehicle was affordable too, with some policies change I suggested to Mr Nitin Gadkari (may be I could be its consumer too). I'm in love with this car. Just saw a automatic version in service centre. But Mr Wangchuk I'm not sure if you consider that every part in a vehicle is achieved through mining and exploitation of natural resources. Talking about emissions it's not just the fuel that emits gas.
