My favorite scene was when the Jewish girl in the show Ramy says “ Im sorry about Palestine” 😔😔😔
Ramy is a genius comedian, he got some really deep stuff that he talks about in his stand up yet he keeps it insanely funny
Asking an Egyptian if he/she considers him/herself African is just like asking an Indian if he considers himself ‘Asian’.
lucy mars thank you 🙏
Both good questions.
Are u butt hurt African loooool who nobody care about , or are u Asian like philpino Indonesia China vitnamese ?? Cause from ur answer u know a lot , like indians who consider Asians but they are not Asians , Egypt most of them are like that doesn't interact with brown of them the brown of them are Nubia who is Sudanese lol who all look like ethiopeans eriterian who in all same region of east African to South Africa , it's like I know all of them now so the other part is Europeans and is hiding his origin by Arab or moslem , whole of north Africa are racist to religion but there racism has some view and point , because the other type like Christian are stuiped like them and Jew are killer or another type , that's there type this is the why the kick them to Israel. But for me that's he will make a mistake big one by lump us in one based on religion which is fault , u see the Europeans are the one inside Africa and Asia not the Arab , Arab are few , but to keep hating Arab or Indian that's there style and keep busy either on slavery drugs or money economic
lucy mars Indians are Asians but can’t call Syrians, or Persians are Asians. Or Russians are Asians. Same with the Egyptians . They are north africans / middle easterners not africans in a sense of black africans. Egypt is not in sub saharan africa

When you're watching a morning talk show interviewing one of your favourite comedians and find out... you're that uncle.
?
just saw Dave on tour in Halifax, dude is hilarious
The interviewer is so good
There's muslims from all over the world and every race. From middle east to Bosnia to Albania to Africa. ✌🏽
And it’s unexplainably beautiful how all are still able to relate to each other.
@@aizaz1299
Too bad RELIGION as opposed to an OPEN mind and the ability to QUESTION the absurdity of Faith in make believe god BS
is the 1 thing that unites them?
Religion blows... has no place in the world we inhabit.
Seperates and Divides and worse..... causes IMMENSE harm, death and destruction.
ALL god based ancient fairy tale crap needs to GO
You are great, thank you , it is the first time somebody open the door, Keep up the good job.
Interviewer: what's your family in real life?
Ramy: they pray...
I'm cracking up lmao 😂
It was Dave Merheje who said that. And his family is a Christian family.
Praying is pointless.... waste of time.
Religion is a COP OUT and an excuse for a closed mind.
Great stuff
I dont like comedians, but I find this guy very respectable, it's like everything he says there is a deep message with it.
Riight? Like a deep tissue massage, right?
@@ceingizblevin8598
Sorry I didn't comprehend what you said, can you clarify more please?.
@@nahidbepari5459 You spelled it like "massage". What you give a person by touching their body and giving them relaxation or comfort. What you wanted to say is spelled "message".

Oh my God!, how could I missed that?, my dumb keyboard made me look like an idiot.

His beard reminds me of an Arab Seth Rogan!

Christian Lebanese. There were plenty of folks of Lebanese Maronite Catholic (Christian) origin in Lafayette LA in the 1950's 60's; i went to high school with Aboud's, Boustani's & Abdhalla's. They left Lebanon in the early 50's during civil strife, and settled in our Catholic, French speaking state. Mexico also received Lebanese Catholics throughout the 20th Century, including Carlos Slim (richest man in Mexico)
This got me thinking about women like myself whom wear the hijab and niqab. We couldnt hide our faith even IF we wanted to. God bless them all. We are flags of Islam walking around. The amount of remarks is ridiculous. Tho I must admit that since covid has forced ppl to wear a mask....🤔not getting it as much
"Your dad has Uncle Energy"
Lol
Adorable.
What's the name of the interviewer?
I love her!
It's Deborah Duncan! Thanks for watching :)
@@GreatDayHouston she killed it! She should teach lessons on interviewing..
hate to be that person but: Egypt is in North Africa but it is considered as part of the Middle East since the middle east isn't a continent, but a term used to talk about Arabian (mostly) countries. Egypt is in Africa, Turkey is in Asia and bit in Europe, Saudi is in Asia, but all count as the middle east to facilitate talking. Long story short, being Egyptian means you're middle eastern.
k, bye.
@W2 that's what i said... egypt is in africa, you can't deny geography. but it's also part of the middle east.
W2 its a north African middle eastern country !
Yessssssss we are middle eastern ❤
NASS
Yep 👍
@@fatimamoussaoui2608 متقوليش كدا احنا ف افريقيا سينا بس اللي ف اسيا وميشرفناش نبقوا تبع الشرق الاوسط
The Middle East was never confined to a single continent. It is a transcontinental geopolitical region and it includes Egypt in North Africa and Turkey in Eurasia. The rest of the region is situated in West Asia. It is not a landmass nor a continent. There was never a time when the Middle East was confined to a single continent. Uneducated people usually confuse the Middle East with a continent. Asia and Africa are continents, the Middle East isn’t. The Middle East’s geographical makeup is based on shared Politics culture and History rather than a shared continent. Also we don’t go by continents in the Arab world when it comes to ethnic identity, we go by regional identity instead, such as the Middle East and the Maghreb(Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco) . Calling an Egyptian “African” is like calling an Iraqi “Asian”. Continental identity is flawed. For example, An Egyptian American doesn't identify as “African American” and an Iraqi American doesn't identify as “Asian American” but they both identify as Middle Eastern Americans or Arab Americans. “African American“ refers to Americans that are of subsaharan descent while “Asian American” refers to Americans of East Asian descent(sometimes south Asian descent is included)
" You've got an Islamic permission" 😂😂😂
You have to be interested in learning and care to learn that there are many type of muslims/Arabs and Middle Easterners. We are not all the same or alike. Heck there are Chinese Muslims! So you can't say they are all the same or look alike.
Even if you don't care about the faith and the customs of its adherents, it's pure common sense that what you're saying is true. Almost 30 percent of he world identifies as a Muslim
But like all religious fervor fools.... Minds that are STUCK in a rut of buying in to a strange validity ascribed to ancient and outmoded 'customs' ....beliefs...... Cultures....
Religion (god based) blows.
Stagnates humanity and boxes one in to a corner of defending ideas and and open mind with "God Did It"

@@autocyclist4062 People have been trying to figure out the world forever. What makes something evil and what makes something good are all things that humans tried through their limited knowledge to explain. Philosophy, religions, and stories have been our human way to figure out the chaotic world we live in. Give them a break. They are doing the best they can with the knowledge they have and so are you. Be gentle with yourself and others.
@@AngelOne11
I'm super gentle... I get what you say about
'trying to figure out' the world etc forever... But deciding that a religious super being or god thang is the answer is a complete cop out. Stories are great...philosophy too...religion goes too far in that it asserts an answer and a far fetched one.
Sad that so many are corralled into their religious corner or 'box' simply by either their environmental or societal/familial factors (not wanting to ruffle feathers by >gasp< DOUBTING the far fetched BS).
I am humble enough to admit that I don't know the answers to the universe or big questions.
Religion proposes an arrogance that I do find offensive by stating unprovable and highly suspect claims. through my life journey ...I have certainly noticed ONE thing...a very high % of religious people I have encountered are often the most hypocritical and even shady and/or dishonest... I would truly be surprised even deep down Ramy Y buys into any of the dogma that has been trotted out through the years by his particular faith, I give him more credit than being THAT gullible.
There is an infinite amount of more plausible possible explanations for the unknown than that which the 'holy books' have proposed through out the ages.
We are certainly not 'alone' but it ain't no way Jesus, Allah, Mohammed, the 'lord' etc
@@autocyclist4062 religions can bring people together to do good. It also gives some people a much needed psychological relief. Honestly, I wish I was a believer. My life would have been much simpler to blame it on a higher power and to say it's what "God" wants. However, my mind is like yours. it doesn't settle and always wondering about the answers to these questions; it also doesn't accept that a magical being is in control of us. So for me, there are no easy answers!
I was raised in a Muslim society. Most Muslim people are extremely kind-hearted, and generous people. I defend them because I have seen it with my own eyes. They are shunned and demonized by the western media which is not fair to them.
You might want to check the Canadian motorcyclist Rosie Gabrielle, who converted to Islam after touring the Muslim countries and got to experience first hand what they are all about.
In the end, there are no easy answers for us all. You and I and everyone else are doing the best we can with what life gave us.
You might enjoy the Chaos and Reductionism lecture by Prof. Robert Sapolsky from Stanford. He helped me to understand why we have variations in our thinking and biology. Even though we are similar, we are vastly different and can't expect everyone to behave in the way we think they should. Maybe that's the beauty of life itself. It's orderly, yet chaotic at the same time.
Peace to you and all living beings!
