I just installed a pioneer Avh w4400nex in my 2007 Acura tl type s. It took a while but I was able to keep my factory navigation working. Also, I was able to mirror my samsung phone wirelessly to the headunit and control my phone from the Pioneer Avh w4400nex.
Just discovered a certified mirrorlink app that allows full mirroring of my phone. It's called Rock Scout. It's supposed to just access the music on your phone through mirrorlink but it subliminally accesses the whole phone. It's pretty much like this app but it does the trick though.

The HTC phone had the app installed from the factory. Not all phones work with the version of Mirrorlink these radios come with. Sorry, Thank you for the question.
hi, I was really interested in the volvo xc90 new radio connections coz factory volvo radios are old fashioned but, on my opinion yes, it was a good video but it could have been a bit more detailed and clear. thanks anyway, at least I know now that one day I can change the one in my car.
For those wondering, the responsiveness and video are bad because of the Pioneer. It just doesn't have the goods to make use of MirrorLink. A company would price itself out of business if they made a stereo capable of what your phone can do.

Jacob Martinez Mirrorlink was a feature that cause a lot of headaches for people. Mainly because it did not work, the version Pioneer was using was old. They never updated it to the current version, the main phone it worked on was the Samsung S3. After that phone it was obsolete. That is why it is not on the 4800. If you are trying to control your phone from your radio Mirrorlink would not work any more. If you want to do navigation from your phone onto your radio you want Android Auto. That is were Mirrorlink has moved. If you want to watch RUclips and Netflix you need to get an HDMI into the radio. That is doable with this radio with some parts.

have you ever just tried using a chromecast? if you just set up your phone as a hotspot, connect the chromecast and there you go. might not work for nav but netflix you tube etc should work.......
Yes we have use the Chromecast and it will work great. We just never put up the video because we did not want to answer tons of questions about the hotspot setup. If you have one and know how to set it up, use it.

I have an AVH 5850BT and a Motorola Moto X Pure phone. I have no luck using the AppRadiomode via USB or BT. Smartphone settings are set to Other already per your other video. I'm just trying to use Waze.. I'm able to use Spotify via BT though, but the AppRadio app in my phone doesn't connect.. Any help?
I have the Galaxy S6 and the AVH-X3700BHS model and when I try mirrorlink it doesn't mirror my phones screen. It instead says I have no applications to run. I did some googling and I found specific mirrorlink designed naviation and radio apps I have to buy/install? Is this correct? The Pioneer radio does not support the version of Mirrorlink your phone is running. This has been a problem with Mirrorlink since day one. Pioneer has removed this feature from all current model radios because of this.

That radio does not support the version on your phone. The phone also has the new MiraCast feature built into it. You can get a Belkin MiraCast dongle (f7d 7501) and do wireless screen sharing over HDMI. There will be no control just screen sharing.

Go into the AV settings- Smart phone settings- set to other and Mirrorlink. My guess is it still may not work, it uses a old version of Mirrorlink. Check out our video on the iSimple Medialinx it give you some of what you are looking for. Thanks for watching

Go to www.meetmhl.com and see if it is MHL or go to the LG site and see if it MiraCast compatible. More then likely it will be MiraCast compatible, you will want to get the Belkin MiraCast dongle. It is wire and very slick
I'm having trouble getting this to work on an avh-2700bts. I have a note 4 on t mobile, also have the correct cable that should work for it. Phone connects an says mirror link is active but radio says there are no mirror link apps on the device. If you know how to fix issue please let me know thanks again
I think with samsung the screen goes off. At least that was the case on the galaxy s3. Do you guys think the video streaming would be better with a galaxy s6 that supports mirrorlink?

Edwin Freire most current Android phones don't work with the version of Mirrorlink on this radio. These radios have a very old version on them. If the radios smartphone settings are set to other and Mirrorlink that is all you can do.
To do video is a bit of a DIY. First head over to Alpines web site and get the full owners manual. On page 30 it shows you the Aux jack you will have to make. You can by an Aux to RCA and rewire it, Alpine does their Aux inputs different then everyone else. Once you have that, get the iSimple Medialinx cable, an HDMI, and the phone to HDMI adapter. Check out the video on the iSimple Medialinx we use the ilx to demonstrate it. Thanks

There should be an AV input ( yellow, red, white RCA)on the rear of the radio. You can get an Aux to RCA to plug your phone in for audio or check out our video on the iSimple Medialinx.
So how can I connect Iphone to use the navigation on the phone? If it lags, let me know so I don't bother with installation. Too bad no wireless connection for navi mirror.
So the 50 is a little different then the US 00 versions, but here are the difference. Power all switch, dual phone mode, beep off, 1 new background, no Mirrorlink, clear resistive screen, camera view on source, manual phone book reload, Flac, Spotify, and Pandora presets. That's it enjoy
jose banderas because the version of Mirrorlink on your phone is several versions newer then on the Pioneer. They never updated there software to handle the new version. That is why the discontinued it after this model radio.
+Hardware Plus iPhone does not support Miralink, that is an Android feature only. You will need the MediaLinks cable and the Apple lightning to hdmi cable
So if you are mirroring and using Google map on this units and you are driving a long route of 10 hours your phone's screen has to be on all the time for 10 hours?

Yeah you can mirrorlink avh-a215bt. First you have to enable Developer mode in your phone and enable USB Debugging option.

My s6 edge works with my 4700. They can't use mirror link but it works with app radio live which in my opinion is better

i had a stereo that had a hdmi port and i hooked up my phone like that and it worked good with youtube vids and whatever else i had it on

It may not work on that model, check in the smartphone settings that it is set to other/ USB

No Android Auto on these pioneer radios, only the NEX AND App radio 4. Thank you for the question.

For Mirrorlink you use the USB, for screen sharing you use the HDMI.

Hi I have avh x4700bs and I have a Samsung note 5, I checked and there are mirror link on my phone and when I turn it on it does not do anything on the unit display. it telling me to reset my my smart device and I don't know what else to do can you please help
Go into the AV settings- Smart phone settings- set to other and Mirrorlink. My guess is it still may not work, it uses a old version of Mirrorlink. Check out our video on the iSimple Medialinx it give you some of what you are looking for. Thanks for watching

Go to www.meetmhl.com and see if it is MHL or go to the LG site and see if it MiraCast compatible. More then likely it will be MiraCast compatible, you will want to get the Belkin MiraCast dongle. It is wire and very slick

I'm having trouble getting this to work on an avh-2700bts. I have a note 4 on t mobile, also have the correct cable that should work for it. Phone connects an says mirror link is active but radio says there are no mirror link apps on the device. If you know how to fix issue please let me know thanks again

I think with samsung the screen goes off. At least that was the case on the galaxy s3.

The G6 use Mirror Cast, and it is better. Unfortunately Kenwood is the only manufacturer make an adapter and it has not shipped yet.

I just purchased the AVHX 3800 BHS and have used a lot of your videos to help me be able to install I bought the access steering wheel control module and I am having a problem I got the hot wire hook to the hot the ground hook to the ground and I need to know what color on the module and what pin on the OEM plug-and-play do I need to splice into I have a 2005 F250 super duty is there anyway you could please help me with this thank you

Look at the NEX models, like the 4100. They will let you do Waze and we have a video up showing you how.

Edwin Freire most current Android phones don't work with the version of Mirrorlink on this radio. These radios have a very old version on them. If the radios smartphone settings are set to other and Mirrorlink that is all you can do.

To do video is a bit of a DIY. First head over to Alpines web site and get the full owners manual. On page 30 it shows you the Aux jack you will have to make. You can by an Aux to RCA and rewire it, Alpine does their Aux inputs different then everyone else. Once you have that, get the iSimple Medialinx cable, an HDMI, and the phone to HDMI adapter. Check out the video on the iSimple Medialinx we use the ilx to demonstrate it. Thanks

I have an HTC One M9 and It has mirror link once everything is connected the radio says reading format then switches to incompatible USB. On my phone I get all these sync options and I select mirror link then immediately the radio says reading format then incompatible USB? what gives?
Make sure the radios smartphone settings are set to Android/ Mirrorlink. Go to gears- tools- av settings- smartphone settings

There should be an AV input ( yellow, red, white RCA)on the rear of the radio. You can get an Aux to RCA to plug your phone in for audio or check out our video on the iSimple Medialinx.

The new model Pioneers do not support Mirrorlink any more. The older radios do not support the new version of Mirrorlink.
So how can I connect Iphone to use the navigation on the phone? If it lags, let me know so I don't bother with installation. Too bad no wireless connection for navi mirror.
Mirrorlink was only for Android not iPhone. The only way to get your phone on your screen is doing this.

So the 50 is a little different then the US 00 versions, but here are the difference. Power all switch, dual phone mode, beep off, 1 new background, no Mirrorlink, clear resistive screen, camera view on source, manual phone book reload, Flac, Spotify, and Pandora presets. That's it enjoy

jose banderas because the version of Mirrorlink on your phone is several versions newer then on the Pioneer. They never updated there software to handle the new version. That is why the discontinued it after this model radio.

+Hardware Plus iPhone does not support Miralink, that is an Android feature only. You will need the MediaLinks cable and the Apple lightning to hdmi cable
