@@Rich-kp1eu Jean Stapleton won three Emmy awards and two Golden Gloves awards for best actress in a comedy, playing the character of Edith Bunker. That was one of the FUNNIEST CHARACTERS in TV history.
@@Rich-kp1eu Do you understand the difference between fantasy and reality, a fictional and a non-functional character, that's dramatized by lol comedy? If Jean Stapleton plays a more conventional role instead of the so-called "Dingbat" role, she probably wouldn't have won so many awards for that FICTIONAL 1970s character.
Shame on Edith for listening to Dr. Nelson, especially since it’s a well-known given the fact that he wasn’t allowed to practice medicine or perform surgery anymore in the state of New York.
Dr. Nelson should have put Archie on a carnivore diet. Archie would have been more accepting of that because he don't have to restrict his fat consumption daily.
After all These years later. I still love this series.
I overlooked what an incredibly talented actress Jean Stapleton was. The facial expressions alone are priceless
Nobody runs to greet her husband quite like Edith. She must have ran a hundred miles (not counting retakes) taping the show 😃
Norman Lear was very mean to the Character of Edith. She was the dumbest person on earth and Archie mentally abused her constantly.

The Edith character rules! She was no real pushover when things got tuff! LOL! They must have a blast doing this scene
I remember watching this one in the original run in the 70s.

How did they keep a straight face???
Great show watch it every chance I get
Edith: I don’t wanna be your widow.
In the end, Archie turned out to be Edith’s widower.
In real life, she did when Carrol O Connor passed away in 2001.😊
How true that is.
Even though we had no idea that the cause of his passing was a combination of a coronary brought on by diabetes.
