Awesome video. We're preparing to build one of this but have cut out our drywall so we can install the inside the wall to save space. We will leave the shelves open (no brass dowels).
GREAT VIDEO !!!! Word of caution to any attempting to build this..... Make sure the wall you are going to hang this on is completely flat...Ran into this building this for a friend of mine...

I really want to build this for my kitchen. I do have some hand tools such as circular saw, dewalt sander and pocket hole thing. I love the idea of the cook book on the top.

TBH, after mentally adding up the cost of all of the specialty tools used to make this, the $35 spice rack doesn't look so expensive anymore.

I love this spice rack so much that I purchased the plans. I don't like sketchup so much, is there any other way to get the plans? Maybe a PDF file?
This is awesome. I didn't think of the brass rods but that's great. It'll match my kitchen cabinet door pulls. Hey, I have tall bottles of oil and balsamic vinegar, I'm thinking of adding a section on the side for those. What do you think? What primer did you use, I don't see it in the comments.
Just another shelf at the bottom with more space and that should do the trick .

Thanks for the video. The corner clamps didn’t really work for me. I used the Kreg Pocket-hole jig and when I went to screw the pieces together the corner tool 1) got in the way, and 2) didn’t hole it tight enough so every time the horizontal piece shifted up 1/8 to 3/8 inch on each corner I screwed. Does yours not do that? I was using 1x3 (0.75”x2.5”), maybe your lumber was thicker?
I just bought and paid for the plans but cannot open the .skp file. Do you have an alternative file type? thanks Al
What is the size of your shop? What is the BTU rating of your AC?

Came out beautiful.. however the white labels take away from the piece made. I’d go smaller on the labels

I bought the spice rack plans but it keeps uploading encrypted. I can't get it to open to a readable file. There is no place on your website to contact you. A response will be greatly appreciated.
It is a SketchUp file that requires the program SketchUp to open

@@ProjectBuildStuff, It was definitely what I was looking for. Still, it was my fault for not looking more closely to the extension file "skp" before purchasing the file. Don't worry about the refund, all is well. My husband is a great D.I.Y. guy. He watched your video and is making my spice rack as I type. We had to make a few modifications because the wall we are mounting the spice rack to is not as wide as your dimensions. So he is making mine taller (with 5 shelves), and narrower. Thanks again and God bless.

Your brass rods are sagging and you changed the direction of the pocket holes without making it obvious to the viewer. Not a bad build but its not as easy as you claim
