Honoring NBA Star Gorgui Sy Dieng

At 6’10” Senegalese former basketball star Gorgui Sy Dieng who now workS as operations representative with San Antonio Spurs NBA is described as a gentle giant with the heart of gold. Towering over all the guests at the 1000 Shades of Women’s “Tribute of Excellence Awards annual Gala” on May 11th, Dieng was honored with several awards in recognition of his years of philanthropic work. 1000 Shades of Women Founder/Director Didi Fall, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Dieng for his generous support of her organization’s various programs over the years. Most notably, Gorgui never forgets his community back in Senegal and happily honors continued requests to help the poor on many fronts. Presenting the awards, Ms. Fall who is also the newly appointed Commissioner to the Newark African Commission, testified to the numerous projects sponsored by Mr. Dieng. The amazing work that 1000 Shades of women continues to do to uplift the lives of ordinary people in the world community is inspiring and illustrates the invaluable impact-of the collective spiritual generosity-by ordinary people like Didi and her network.
