Really enjoyed this video, it really makes me want to get back out in the shop and get some work done. I also love the idea of the hammer stand. Most shop tools are made utilitarian without thought of design or as a skill-building exercise. I want to start doing more skill-building pieces for my shop, then if I mess it up, it's "just shop furniture."
Hey there. I've been following your chanel for years now. I've really enjoyed the work you do and the projects you've done. Frankly, I don't understand the reason for polishing a hammer to a mirror finish unless you are planning not to use it. LoL 😂
I know from experience woodworking can be a little rough on your hands. But, by the end of your project, I couldn't believe how hairy your hands were. 😉 I've inherited many hammers from my grandfather and I believe you've inspired me to create something where they can be both readily accessible and on display. I love your creativity.
Yes truly amazing... @4:48 and other sections of the video you have nice well manicured thumb nail and hairless arms and fingers. but by 8:06 somebody has chewed that nail down to the quick, grown finger and arm hair and well... why the double ??
Hi Linn, Sure is good to have you back making videos again, one of my favorite channels. Good job shining up your tools, they look fantastic! All the best, C.
Watch your fingers! You’re going to slip right off the first nail you try to drive. They are pretty though!. Missed your videos past month or two. Good to see you’re back in the groove.
I have to find a source for thicker nitrile gloves, I was chiseling a doors lock to install a bigger shield outside and they ended up completely ripped just of handling the chisel. This video is a great idea about what to do with some old family tools.
Restaurant suppliers often have heavier nitrile gloves and in larger sizes than s/m - I have a box of XL in clear and they also have black (but strangely not blue).
Linn, your husband is playing with your tools when you're not looking. Was that some green and green inspired joinery? Hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy.
something therapeutic watching ti with that sound track. I have done that to a few tools but none that have the name intact on them, didn't want to remove it.
Rob Ot hi rob most metals when highly polished will take quite along time to tarnish/rust so no need to seal the metal Obviously this depends a lot on environment.
Nice stand to keep your hammers together.
The cleaning of your hammers - nice to work with clean tools.
Mike
Nice video. The music created a relaxing atmosphere. I like the old meets new, hand tools and CNC build. Hand tool work is so satisfying.
Thank you. This is just what a meant with small projects in various size. The hammers look beautifull. Thank you again.
Such beautiful work. Attention to detail. I love watching you do your thing.
Love the atmospheric nature of the video.
Linn .

Omg. Love the sound track😌
What a great video! Loved the new style of presenting your process!

Noticed the same thing
Full Moon.....?
The creativity the two of you show is a sheer delight to watch. Craftsmanship deluxe!
I like this new style of video! It's worth revisiting from time to time I think.
I love how you love to take care of your tools. 😁👍🏼 I’m the same way. If you take care of them they will last another hundred years.
But in one hundred years you'll have a very small hammer with all the little bits of material you took every time you cleaned them up :)
fim domeio 🤣 True
I did that very thing to my hammers and vice. I even used the old handles and epoxied them back in.
I really like this new format!

Nice job Linn and Matt :) Thank you for sharing the video with us!💖👍👌😎JP
Nicely done, Linn. 👍🏾
Nothing like getting things organised. 👌🏾
Really beautiful work, Linn! 😃
Really relaxing video! Thanks!!! 😊
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Love the stand.

You don't want to see how I've stored my hammers and mallets. This puts me to shame. Excellent work, Linn.
Angle grinder ? 🤣
Clever and good looking stand

Very relaxing and awesome loved it
What a great project. I love your channel!
Great format.

Way better than a meditation video!
Beau travail! Il est très utile de trouver ses outils bien rangés, cela évite de devoir chercher! 👍🔨
Inspiring! You are a true artist.
Great video

there are beautiful. Will they rust if introduced to elements?
That was very satisfying to watch :D
Great one! Thanks for sharing
Very good my Friend, the best.
nice video Linn! I missed videos of woodworking projects
congratulations very much appreciate the work set
Nice! Too good looking to use now. 😁
This is asmr
Très joli travail bravo à bientôt salut Jeannot 🛠😉
The music, and the carpentry in this video made me think of the film "Witness".
i see that you hand sanded the hammer heads but could you use a random orbit sander and work up through the grits
Those hammers will oxidize just as quick again? Without the use of a sealant, that is?
Rob Ot

Very nice!
well done!
Linn
Just asking.
After watching all your videos, That I enjoy.
You ever think of a wood & stain glass project?
Very good job an also nice video. I missed more videos like this, your format was changed...
Did you lay out the different tools that you used on the project?
And any supplies that were used. You can cover any labels.
Fun!
You take care of your tools like I try to take care of my cassette decks...
If the hammer face is polished, will it become more likely to slip when striking a nail?
Haven't had any issues, but these are small hammers and not designed to drive nails.
@@darbinorvar So like the mini hammer featured on Blondihacks for seating parts on a CNC?
Arms got hairy... was that the mythical Matt? 😀
excelente diseño
When I made jewelry, I kept my hammer faces mirror-smooth. And they certainly look nice. But otherwise, is there a benefit?
Psychological at least...
@@darbinorvar Very important these days. Take care.
sure, you can check your look just before filming the outro. :-)
First comment from Alaska!
you should recut this video and splice in some techno when the CNC is running
There is another channel for that... Industrial JP
Wow. Your arms are certainly hairy!
occupational hazard
Great video! What is the music playing in the background?
Satya yuga... RUclips library
@@darbinorvar thank you!
I love the footage and the post processing in general, but I have to watch muted, because of the ambient music...
The first comment from Japan.
👍❤️
I like more your accent than that music!😉
Hammer is like a armor,if it doesnt have few chips and dings its not doing its job.
😃👌🏻👍🏻👊🏻
🖒🖒🙌🙌😙
I copied your shed build.
