Excellent review. I have this on pre-order at the moment and am really looking forward to him. I really enjoyed this character, though AVPR wasn’t the best film. Still, Wolf’s movements and mannerisms really screamed Kevin Peter Hall at me. Again, great review and looking forward to more of your content.

Great comprehensive video review! I like the new style the image had the same crispness to me since I'm not viewing it on some ultra HD electronic which I don't possess any just my old IPad 2. As far as the new Wolf, let's just say I'm glad I finally landed on decently used Ancient Pred 2.0 in 2017. Talking about authenticity I wish for that figure they put the exposed toes shoe from that scene but didn't. Quite fortunate your Doctor Strange from infinity war is coming early sounds like. I can't wait to get him those lines to Thanos and his moves were just pure godliness! Plus I'm a sucker for characters that can use magic and I loved him in Marvel Ultimate Alliance, where I first was introduced to him. I'm just glad I caught AlterEgo's stock regain or whoever cancelled their PO.
Thanks for the nice coment! :-) Yeah, mobile and tablet devices don't support 4k. I think i'll check how many of my viewers are actually checking my vids on desktop...producing in 4k is so time consuming, so I need to decide if it's really worth the additional effort or just go with full HD. Good point on the exposed toe, was not aware of that!
First I was unsure about magical characters in the MCU...but they did a magnificent job introducing Doctor Strange. :-)

There is one cleaner kit version for sale on amazon and I'd procrastinating getting it for 2 years, then I just happen to blindly stumble across the preorder page for this one. After watching both your and DeanKnight333's reviews, I'm sold where's my wallet.
I don't know why the wolf predator in photos or videos is a bit weird which its head is too big while the body is too thin. But then, when you see the real item with your eyes it has no problem and very awesome.
Great video structure & image quality superb, by the way I just got today this figure, keep up,nice review!
Use clear nail polish on the peg to make to make it wider. That will make it have a tighter fit on the hand hole.
Also a nice trick, thanks. :-) I went for some bluetack, just filled the whole and then the hand in it.
I'm really happy with the figure but, I have the same issues with the real loose right hand which is frustrating! The new image quality was amazing, great review Andre!
Thanks Scott! :-) Damn shame about the loose hand peg. Lack of hands...and the ones you get don't really fit snug. :(
If u want to try...try to add some super glue on the pegs just a bit..let it dry...like applying layer to it( don t glue in place)...if u haven t experience this u might wanna test it on some other figure that are also loose...
You should paint his left pupil white to simulate him being blind in that eye like it showed when Wolf was first shown in the movie when he received the distress call for the fallen ship

Video structure is actually great! Regarding the figure , after this and Knight333 review I’m canceling my pre-order that I had for a long time. All pros and cons are pointing that THIS is not a figure for me. Thank you for review and comparisons( subscribed as well) . P.S Facebook post with comparison was great as well. Cheers.

It’s good to be aware of the limitations and potential fixes, but damn it looks amazing! Just a thought about the loose right hand - is it the same if you switch with one of the extra wrist pegs? Thanks buddy, just subbed to your channel. :-) I just checked the replacement hand pegs - it's for no use. But i found an easy fix - use some bluetack and put it right into the hole, then the handpeg in - this will tighten everything up. Awesome review! I’m really struggling whether I want to display this thing with the mask on or off since I love both looks so much. I’m just wondering if putting and taking off the mask so much while changing his look will damage the face over time? Just a worry of mine
Thanks. I had the mask on now for quite some time and put it on / off several times - no damage. I think it's save.

That's if you want all three, which is reasonable enough ...
Personally, I would get the Cleaner Kit, and the Heavy Weapon Kit; compare and contrast the two, especially the accessories; then make a blended version of the two in one figure ...

For the wrist peg use sowing thread to tighten it up. You wont be able to see it and it works great.
Good idea Mark. I put some bluetack in and then the handpeg on it, tighted it up as well.

Great detailed review on wolfi :) i preordered and was confused if there are 2 versions like the previous one which ,heavy weaponry' would indicate. Big let down are the missing closed mandibles
Wolf is no doubt the strongest yautja in the movies but he is not as scary as the jungle hunter from 1987

My first predator (lost predator) has wall tack in most his joints to keep them where I want them.
Use hair dryer to soften the port hole in the back armor plating/medic kit to connect the wiring from the mask helmet....
He's just beautiful! I've been waiting for this figure for its release since its announcement years ago, now its finally come out! Still having thoughts if I should have one or not though
I have the pred 2 city hunter and classic from predators and the original rare 1st predator from 1987 with a cutom bio mask and custom painted mouth for movie accurate purposes.
try using tweezer to insert those mask cables.
I had a slight problem with mine. The right side shoulder cannon won't fit.

Yes, it's very much articulated. Much better than the first Wolf...that one had almost no articulation which i forgot tot show in the review.

I got my third DELAY email from Sideshow on this guy here in the USA ad I'm still if on whether or not I made the right decision I guess in my review I will have to tell for myself if whether or not this was worth the $260 investment to getting the 2.0 version and skipping on the 1.0 instead.

Happened something similar to me. I never owned any Predators from hot toys, only Iron Men. But in this case, I needed to order one of these ! =D
If you go that route Reed...you probably want then more...it's a serious addiction. :-) The weight and feel of a Pred figure in hand is its own league. :)

Thanks. On your question: This is not possible - the sockets are completely different. Also on the new wolf it's 3 parts (both sides and in the center one smaller piece). I hope to see some customizers go the route and modify him.

Great Review did love the structure. Do you have P2 ELDER 2.0? If so between Scar 2.0, Elder and Wolf what is your ranking? I’m on the fence with Wolf. And leaning towards a pass bc two Predators Elder & Scar is enough in my collection. Might use the money on Dooku
Thanks. Yes, i thought to put P2 elder also in it...but the shelf was already too packed. :-) Elder 2.0 is a beast on its own. When I had Scar in my hand yesterday during filming I was again amazed of that one too. If you have a chance to get all, get em. :-) What I like with Wolf is just the uniqueness...so many weapons, the burned face and IMO one of the best masks out there. Hard call!

If there are no closed mandibles, then how do you put the mask on ? You never once showed the mask for the new version on its own. It looks like their are closed mandibles under the mask ?
Phenomenal image quality and great review. I was really excited about this figure but now I am pumping the brakes a bit just because of the quality control issues, for example the loose wrist peg would absolutely blow my lid. Did you try maybe swopping that peg for the back up that comes with it? I actually don’t mind that there are no closed mandibles, I would have liked another set of hands instead of a coiled whip but the most important thing to me is whether the figure functions as it’s supposed too. Right now I am debating between this figure and the Elder Predator 2.0 and I think im going with Elder because I have wanted that fig for so long and it seems to have very few QC issues. If I can get this fig also, I may still do so since the sculpt is totally sick and the weapon arsenal is mind blowing. I would give this figure a 9 if it had just 1 simple issue but it seems there are a lot, so I would have to agree with Dean and give it a 7.5 - 8. Thank you so much for the badass review, I will definitely be scratching my chin over this one, well see how many more people have issues.
Many thanks for the great comment. I just found an easy fix for the loose peg , just put some bluetack in - this will tighten up the inner chamber where the peg is sitting. Here a photo what i did: instagram.com/p/BsSl4WMHbIz/, the extra peg did not help.
I'm curious to see customizers coming up with a closed mandible version. Elder 2.0 is also a must have...so if you have to decide I'd hunt that done first and then Wolf, there is really no bad thing about the Elder if you ask me.
I was thinking about a rating system for the new video structure as you just pointed out the numbers...but then drifted away putting more work / brain into comparison, movie / behind the scenes footage as a focus to get closer to the movie side of the colllecting passion.
xenom0rph, as far as your video goes, I give your video a 10 out of 10 for real. Never seen anyone use as much behind the scenes footage to compare a figure as you did and you picked the best footage as well. I really had no other questions about this figure after your review, so hats off and great job again. Besides the hand cannon Hot Toys really did a phenomenal job with every other aspect of this figure, that head sculpt/paint is just, wow, I love it, not going to lie, I still do want the figure and will end up getting one sooner or later.

Hard question: Elder or Wolf probably. Or if you want to go for the Predator 1 look then the "Predators Classic Predator"...let's see if Hot Toys will re-release the first Pred somewhen down the road.

For the $80-$90 increase from the original, these fools should make the weapons diecast. The body structure's the same but with better sculpting and painting.

Cleaner kit version is more accurate, and I own both.. this newer version..face looks stunned.. cleaner kit looks pissed

I think the new body doesn't fit the proportions of the Predator body in the movies. It came out thin again.
Too thin? I think it's quite a good size. Especially if you have him in hand. This should not stop you from getting the fig dude.

Hi, this was a direct buy from Hong Kong via an ebay seller. You pay approx 25% mark up compared to sales later on (Sideshow, etc.). Just search on ebay "hot toys wolf predator ready" or "in hand". You will find it.

Mmmmmmm Older figures have light in the Biomask , why doesnt this figure have it? I know, There is little room for the switch in the back but cmon!!! be creative! that's why you pay a lot of money, it's also a predator!.
also the pieces of armor and weapons look like cheap plastic.
