We just bought a 2020 challenger RT I absolutely love it the exhaust sounds amazing
I just ordered a 2022 R/T 3 weeks ago...being built as we speak should take delivery in early june...I treated myself for my milestone birthday and I'm excited as hell...

Gotta love those new hoods. The 19 RT’s and up now have the old SRT hoods. I have an 18 RT so my hood is still the old one and I’m still mad about it ! Lol great looking car 👍🏼

The upgraded exhaust was the best addition they made to these new R/T's. Sounds like old school glass pack mufflers. Makes it hard to keep your foot out of it though

He needs to get into apps and hit the power setting and should be able to activate sport and track mode. Thats what I did and works real well. I have the 5.7 liter shaker. Blacked out. Great ride.

Yeah man got my F8 green a couple months ago, getting about 17 city. Haven’t done much Highway but did a 200 mile trip and got 24. Most solid, yet smooth, roomy, loaded, comfy, and luxurious car on the road in America in my opinion!!! I recommend the Plus and blacktop package. Sun roof is nice too. Plus a tune, still gotta do mine.
Chris The Hobbyist hey Chris, I drove one of the earlier models and the visibility in the back was pretty bad. Did they improve on that?
Ryan Kuhlenschmidt well the body design hasn’t changed since they launched in what, 2008? But I’ve personally not had any visibility issues. It has a huge rear window, but yes the trunk sits pretty high. Then there’s the small quarter windows and the head rest issue, again, hasn’t been an issue with me changing lanes but I have the passenger seat back so it’s out of the way. I reverse into spaces with the rear view camera which has the guide lines and a wide field of view. Mirror indicators make changing lanes quicker and safer as well. Rent one with the back up camera and mirror indicators and see if they’ve improved. I rented two a couple months apart and was like yep, I can live with this. Bought mine in April and haven’t had any visibility issues. I’ve test drove other vehicles with far worse visibility.
Chris The Hobbyist I haven’t had visibility issues and I don’t even have the blind spot monitors. I just position the mirror on the passenger side to look further out and I can pretty much see the entire lane next to me. That and just driving responsible and being aware of your surroundings

Bro good presentation but that drive mode button ur pressing just takes u to that main touch screen and u work it from there.
I think the buttons didn’t work cause it was a 7 inc u connect if the car is upgraded to the 8.4 UConnect screen they should work
I got the dodge challenger 5.7 RT and love the ride.. the black on black all around is 👍👍👍 and one of the main reason is because no more hemi v8 in production.. yeah the electric will be fine but it wont have the soul of the combustible engine like these..

Okay.. so..we got one... My Son... now... we're old folks.. but been around..,we grew up on rear wheel drive vehicles. Our kids only had front drive... so..we have to teach them... cars always have been.
Love my 2019 RT. Manual trans
Manual trans = limited slip rear differential. Autos are open diff. That alone makes going stick even more appealing. Already tuned for premium fuel and 3 more horsepower. Mine has the ZF 8 speed, but only because I couldn't find a T/A with the Tremec within 150 miles of me. It's literally the only thing I would change. It has grown on me though. The thing is aggressive af. Not like autos of yesteryear, for sure. Aston Martin and Alfa Romeo use a version of it in some of their cars.

@ about the 10:27 mark. Would have been nice if you were In manual (paddle shifter) mode. When you took that corner & down the way. You could of had it in 2nd gear about 25-30mph then gassed it & popped it into 3rd. It would have popped so loudly! 🤷🏽♂️🥂💯🙇🏽♂️

Chris The Hobbyist Yep Same here!! Everyone always tells me how they’ve never seen that color. I have some yellow bumper protectors on it also which makes it stand out a little more, I didn’t like them on there at first but I decided to keep them on because it makes the car look different in a good way. I’m pissed off because week before last some guy ran a stop sign and hit me in the rear driver side. Dented it up pretty good but I’m taking it to a body shop this Friday. I just hope they do a good job! Can’t have nothing nice these days.
Sasha Nicole I took my protectors off, sanded and painted them black. They are supposed to be discarded but they serve a purpose and fit like they were made to be permanent so why not keep them? And I’m so sorry to hear some asshole hurt your Challenger :(
I’m so anal about mine that I’ll park at the end of a parking lot, always watching my rear view, etc. I hope the body shop does a great job!!! They better!

Idk if this is a actual 2019 model, mite be a 2017 cause my 2019 RT comes with sport and super tracks button, this one has launch and drive mode so idk if this is the current model but your right the interior and everything else is the same, I think performance packages are different

I talked to a woman who actually ended up getting it at a gas station in my town. Her shit was LOUD and she did no modifications
He also said it’s a stock car and mentioned how loud it is stock. Wow that sound is beautiful. I would buy it alone on the sound. I love this car been wanting to get one since it came out
@@therocknrollgypsy667 Yea it has to be a different exhaust set up on the newer models. Mine sounds pretty nice now. All i did was chop off the resonators and replaced it with straight pipe. and i also installed an after market cold air intake. I plan on getting a borla catback exhaust eventually.
@@sedric405 2017 and up have the active exhaust with butterfly type valves. I thought my 2017 was modded when the dealer started it up. No need to change that exhaust unless your making big power.
I was given a 2018 Dodge Challenger R/T as a rental. The exhausts are 🔥🔥. But, you may get a headache until you're used to the exhausts.
I have a 2019 rt 5.7 with stock exhaust and it is a beautiful sound. It's much louder when you put it in sport mode, so it's there when you want it. Take it out of sport mode on the highway for no drone.

I just drove one and loved it but the roof pillar near the sun roof was rubbing my head bc I’m kind of tall
Skip the sunroof. You'll have several more inches of headroom & It'll be lighter

Question for you guys I’m in the market this model 2019 R/T it’s for 27,000 it has 16,000 miles I have a 730 credit score but I’m a first time buyer would I need a co-signer or should I be good with 1,000 down? Thanks for your help!
With a score like that you should not need a co-signer.

it all depends on how much you can afford. I would recommend a putting down 5-10% to help keep those payments lower. But again it all depends on how much you can afford.
U sure that exhaust is stock? Sounds like it had a muffler delete done. Sounds nice though.
That is stock 2017 and above came with the active exhaust they all sound like that it’s great
Not 100 percent sure of that. I have a 2018 with active exhaust and it doesn’t sound like yours. 🤷♂️

If the Challenger feels more punchy, its probably the difference in gear ratios between the two
What next gen are you talking about? Dodge stated that they are staying with this model up to 2023 minimum.
When I made this video I was only speculating.

my 73 duster with a 360 we put in it,would run high 13,s in drive easily,and is maybe 1000 pounds lighter than this, i couldnt afford none of them anyway,an i love mopar...only...cant wait to see the new dodge cuda,they say there working on them,all speculation etc..if we live,we shall see it, dodges only flaw was the weight of these challengers,an id never own a 4 door charger,sure there great,but it dont seem right,an way heavy anyway,but anything beats mustang,or camaro,or dumb looking imports that i hate..mopar, or no car regardless...............

Junk..I owned a 2016 shaker..fit and finish was terrible, not one quarter panel fit correctly gaps everywhere,,didn't own it for long,,traded it for a zl1 camaro,, beautiful car,,fit and finish is bang on,,6.2 chev motor runs like a fine oiled machine..sorry mopar guys..
Interesting. I have a 16 challenger and interior fit and finish seems really nice to me. Only complaint is the rattle from the windows buttons when the music is bumpin

I don’t kno what da hell kinda charger rt you drove but a challenger rt sure as hell cant beat a charger rt my boy works at the dodge dealer an a charger is arrow dynamically betta then the challenger if they have the same engine the charger wins every time not even close 🤦🏾♂️

Dave Foss chargers are strictly automatic tho which is for pussys who want some thing fast but don’t want to actually drive the car. I can tell you from personal experience that a stick shift challenger FEELS much faster than a auto charger.

Quan Brown look it up I’m talkin facts chargers an arrow dynamically better with acceleration an top speed as the cars go faster it’s better to manage an is weight distributed much better which make its feel like a sports car then a muscle car 💯
