- Grand Theft Auto V is ten years old in 2023. How is that possible? So is The Last of Us. Our fingers are literally turning to dust as we write that. Brace yourself: here are 10 PlayStation anniversaries that’ll make you feel old as hell.
Time comes for us all, and our game collections. One day you’re the new game on the block, the next you’re one of the best games of the decade. What’s amazing about these PS3 games is that they don’t feel 10 years old. The likes of Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, Hotline Miami and Assassin’s Creed 4 still look and play great, which is why the ten years snuck up on us. These are some of the best old games around.

It is for videos like this that I first subscribed to this channel. There is NOTHING like Rob giving us his eloquently worded “play by play” of a game and what to expect. I’ve purchased games just based on hearing Rob’s excitement and enthusiasm towards what he is discussing.

2013 was a good year for me as it was when I got a PS3 for the first time. The first PS3 game (and first game I saw running in HD) was the Tomb Raider reboot!

I'm currently going through Assassin's Creed Black Flag myself as I never actually finished the story. All multiplayer trophies are done, and now having a blast in the story for the Platinum.

Wow you guys are funny! You arent old yet....Im 46 and arthritis kicked in around my thumb while playing Bright Memory Infinite on Hell difficulty the other night. Thats when you know something's not quite right. Cant pull off Street Fighter moves like I used to anymore either but Im still gaming. Just got a couple games today!

2014 was the 2nd time I got “my first”
PlayStation… I had to return my PSOne as I was leaving Australia in 2003, and then years later I had to return my Destiny Collector’s Edition in 2014 because I wasn’t really able to afford it - until the second Destiny Collector’s Edition (with the nicer, actually customized design) came out in 2015 - and THAT one was a keeper. I’ve since gotten a DeathStranding PS4Pro, and two PS5s - and I can’t wait for the PS5Pro to come out so my youngest can inherit my current one.
Crazy to think, that, for two decades I _almost_ had a PlayStation. Like, _who else_ goes through such a process???

Seeing Deadly Premonition in this list was a sore reminder that we can't play it on current platforms.

There is now a longer gap between when GTA Vice City was set and released (1986 vs 2002 - 16 years), and when Vice City was released to today (21 years)
16 years ago would be 2007 - one year year before GTAIV was released.
Rob looks like such a fresh faced babby in these clips! Very sharp, Rob! And Nathan....somehow looks exactly the same? Is almost like those episodes where some researcher finds pictures of Dr. Who throughout the ages! The same man in each year! It's crazy!
Great new video from PS Access this morning. But again I would say all these 2013 games actually do look pretty last-gen when you compare to PS5's Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores and Ratchet Rift Apart. Tomb Raider 1 and especially Assasin's Creed 4 he listed here, are on the lower end graphics even for PS4.

Batman Arkham Origins. I loved the shock gloves, my fav gadget/equipment in the series.
DmC Devil May Cry. I like this game but it was thanks to this game that I got introduced to the more fun and amazing DMC.
Final Fantasy XIV turns 10 this year! lots of celebrations happening in game right now!
