In free version I have a small moon base which I plan on slowly developing, so far tho just a fancy satellite, a small habitat/return rocket and a manned rover. Next item is the communications and a charging point
I have the tech but I'm just lazy :P
Ok it's done now with a fuel tank, habitat, solar farm, communication systems, a manned rover and a cool satellite that doubles up as orbital refueling

I tried something like this on mars once. The base got quite large, then I went to land another module, got in load range, and the entire thing teleported to the exact edge of mars’s SOI. Also they decided that gravity didn’t exist and reloading just resulted in the same thing.
Btw for people who don't know what SOI is short for its short for "Sphere Of Influence" or something like that

We already have unlimited fuel
So infinite fuels shouldn't be used
It would make the mission more realistic rather than just a game

This is nice, it inspired me as a free version player, to build my own moon base. So.far i.have a 1 room living quarters, control tower and a simple flying saucer looking thing.

@@rhi6772 you just need a strong rocket that can get to the moon, learn to slow down and concentrate your landing zone.
I have a very large building looking thing I'ma send to the moon if possible and that will be a a good refuel hub /moon space center. Heavy asf might need to lessen fuel

It is probably so much easier to make cookies in sfs 1.5 because you can set a target on a small colony and know when to deorbit to be close to that colony and add more parts
