The shopinglist for this project is:
Note, all materials were purchased in local stores and therefor the list below is not exactly the same since I try to find the materials online.
Mirrors:
IKEA LOTS 30x30 cm
www.ikea.com/us/en/p/lots-spegel-39151700/
Glue:
Any strong professional glue will work aslong its suitable for the right materials in your room.
www.amazon.com/UNIBOND-1963627-Nails-Original-Cartridge/dp/B013XC64J2/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=no+more+nails&qid=1578178954&sr=8-1
Moldings:
Search for quarter molding with planed edge like the black little template in the link below at your local hardware store. (makes it easier to place on the wall) If you find them unpainted they are always cheaper.
www.homedepot.com/p/Alexandria-Moulding-WM-108-1-2-in-x-1-2-in-x-96-in-Primed-Pine-Finger-Jointed-Quarter-Round-Moulding-10100-93096C/205576634
Spray paint:
We went with glossy finish. We felt it would go better with the mirrors.
www.homedepot.com/p/Quick-Color-10-oz-Gloss-Black-General-Purpose-Spray-Paint-J2851812/100678561
The project works fine without a mitresaw but it speeds up the process since its a lot of cuts. the frame is 45 degree cuts and the rest is straight cuts.
We strongly recommend you to use a level.
We are sorry that so many did not like the music and promise to make up for it in future videos.
Our driveway is fine.
We painted the moldings in an area thats just for containers and such. the rain took care of it within a few months.
Our paint was environmental friendly.
Take care everyone and thanks again for watching!
Hi!
No glue, just the strips that followed in the packade. The moldings locks the mirrors to the wall.
If you still feel that you need glue I would use the same as you use for the moldings.
Good luck!
LivingDIY how many cm for the moldings?
Hi!
The sections is about:
Innerpieces:
Horizional - 123 cm
Vertical 30 cm
Frame:
Horizional - 218 cm
Vertical - 125 cm
Good luck!
What size mirror did you use ?
actually this is one of the best ikea hack ever
Thank you so much for saying that!
This came out extremely beautiful ❤️. To anyone who’s going to recreate, it’ll be a little less expensive to purchase the 6 pack mirrors from Lowe’s or Home Depot for 10.98 😊
Great tip!
Thank you for watching! ❤️
Only useful in the US :-P. RUclipsrs are European.
Are they the same quality at Lowe’s? I want to buy
Can you link me

I did one with these and then another larger one out of dollar tree mirrors.
Really expands the space. Looks like a window into another room.
Thank you for your kind words!
We feel the same. The room also lets in so much more light now.
The sunsetting in the background is to die for😍
Thank you for your kind words!
And the reflection in the mirror is of the gorgeous sunset!
Yes its so beautiful, so thankful we got to share it!
Great idea!!! I like this a lot. I’d like to recreate this but glue the mirror to cardboard or plywood. This way the wall doesn’t get messed up and to move it around the room when I get the urge to redecorate

For those on a tighter budget, the Dollar Tree carries black plastic framed mirrors that will give a very similar effect without the need for tools and all of this assembly. They could be held with Command Strips, which would save the wall from damage for those who rent or like to change up decor.
Did the mirror stick to the wall without glue?
Makes the place look bigger and beautiful, clever.
Totally in love with this idea. You guys rocked ✌️
Totaly in love with your kind words❤️
Thank you😃
I agree, a great idea. However, the hat would look better in a trash can. ;-)
@@LivingDIY pls what is the link to the actual mirror??

Looks amazing, great idea :] on note: I think you didn’t show the end result long enough, you put so much work into it and the final result is only visible for a few seconds and we as viewers love that feeling of satisfaction of the final product. Good luck for the future :]
Great advise! When we edited we watched the clip like a hundred times and got afraid it would be to long. Now when we read all the comments we get the feeling of the opposite and wish we showed more details.
Thank you for your kind words!
It's called a PAUSE button, unless you like that HORRIBLE MUSIC.
Thanks for the video . Jag bor i Göteborg 🥰. Finally seeing someone from Sweden 🇸🇪 doing a DIY . New sub
Tack snälla för dem fina orden! 😍
Trevlig kväll! Hälsningar från Kalmar!
LivingDIY 🥰🥰🥰
love the videos but the music gives me a headache!
M Marcus Then turn it off.
It made my cat go crazy as she ran around me trying to find the mysterious cat that meows melodies
M Marcus I watched it with no volume
Unstoppable Goddess 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I like the music
Where did you buy the wood from ?
From the thumnail, I honestly thought it was a large window...until i saw the title! Well done! Best hack ever!
This is beautiful! You can also do this with mirrors that you give an antique look, by removing the grey back of the mirror with paint remover, praying acid on the back so there are see through splatters, and then painting the back black or maybe even gold!
Have a nice day, greetings from the Netherlands
OMG you are so creative 🙌🇨🇦❤️
What would you used in between them??
Turned out beautifully! I love how it captured the colors of the sunset. It reminds me of a huge window in a loft.
Thank you for your kind words!
Im glad you liked it!
BEST HACK I’VE SEEN! Mirrors this big run $500+ minimum. Beautiful job 👏🏽👏🏽
Have a look at this

also I recommend spray painting on your grass because the grass will grow out and no paint left on your concrete area
Note to self. “Do not paint driveway “
I love how as the mirrors are placed the wall changes from blank white to a beautiful view.
Looks so cozy especially with the view of the sunset. The mirror definitely opened up the space. The whole design of the room is gorgeous, the mirror is just the icing on the cake. Love it.

Most strong adhesive is corrosive to mirror's back coating. The result of corrosion may appear after couple of years.
PL200 or other common glues may not be a good choice.
Usually will recommend using RTV silicone and mirro-mastic for mirror installation but may not be suitable for such supportless installation.
Youre a bit wrong there.
Ive been using different PL glues for like 10 years both in work and private.
PL200 is used at work by carpenters here in Sweden.
About 5 years back i made a mirror with palletwood, a mirror and PL200.
Still looks great and no sign of corrosion.
I like the concept. The only thing that I would have done differently would be to attach the mirrors and moulding to a sheet of plywood. Then attach that to the wall instead. It seems like it would be difficult to remove from drywall installed like this if you wanted to change the look.
Lovely results! Might want to consider putting something under the trim when spray painting so you don't ruin the athletics of the driveway.
Ever forget why we don't deserve nice things? Just go on the comment section of any youtube video. You're welcome.
Great job btw. It looks so lux
Wow! That really changes the space so cheap and easy for such a big impact! Wish I wasn’t renting..since this is so permanent!
Apply to plywood or mdf, movable and no wall damage!
I think the best alternative is mdf and screw it to the wall,
The mdf is very straight and stable. A thick piece of plywood may work aswell.
You also need to ad some extra glue to the mirrors with the same glue as we used for the moldings. (otherwise there is a possibility that the mirrors may fall off after som time)
Keep in mind if you go with this idea that this mirror is so big and you really need to support the weight.
Setting it on the floor and then leaning against the wall is an option but may look a bit to homemade for some.
Using a thin plywood may cause the result to maybe be a bit curved
Good Luck!
Very pretty and that sunset in the background... awesome
5 sec in to the video! I was like : these people must be from Sweden.
I love this DIY! I have been after a mirror like this for ages, but for the size I need not only would it be really expensive but the mirror would be ridiculously heavy. I definitely think this will be something I'll be recreating! ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words!
We are so happy that we inspired you!😃❤️
It’s beautiful.. I was planning to do something like that.. but I don’t have the space to use the tools or paint spray now
The sunset in the background on your mirror is breathtaking
Thank you!!
We think alike!
Pretty sure I could do this even without the mitresaw a such an obvious but INCREDIBLY effective DIY! I loooove it.
Thank you for your kindness!
Ofcourse you can!
If you have any questions along the project feel free to ask :)
Best I've watched
very good idea, thanks. anyway, how about I wanna remove that stuff from the wall?
For the molding did you use quarter round? (1 curved side with 2 equal flat sides). It looks like it. Can you confirm. Also did you glue one of the flat sides to the wall, so the curved side is facing down for the horizontal moldings? And vertical did you make the curve side facing the outward edge of the mirror? Would appreciate any details you can provide. Thank you.
That's the coolest thing I've seen in a while. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks a lot for watching and saying that!
that sunset tho... beautiful
I attempted this over on my own channel 😊 couldn't resist! LOVE THIS MIRROR 😍🥰
Love the image that is reflected. It makes it feel very SoCal.
Liked it without the mouldings. Did this in a dark hallway.
Stunning work...and yes thumbs up for the cute Dog ! 👍
ALL I CAN SAY IS BLOODY AMAZING👏🏼👏🏼
Love the finish ❤️👌so beautiful can u tell me what did you use to stick the glass to the wall
Best hack I've seen in a long time tfs
You think!? Thank you!!
I’m enthusiastically watching this, even though I don’t have a saw to begin with 😂
I just subscribed!!! That is absolutely beautiful 😍😍! I do want 2 of these on my huge hallway wall! Thank u so much for sharing this genius idea and work!! I'm so in love with that mirror I can't even tell u how much lol! Great teamwork guys! Absolutely breath takingly beautiful 😍😍
I’m thinking I’m going to try this on some sort of backer board, that way if I change my mind or if I want to move the installation I can. Really cool!💙
Gorgeous. You can try a bigger molding for the outside. Otherwise it brought so much brightness to the room. Awesome
Nice video👍 welcomeback I am from Indonesia🇲🇨🤝
Can you share the link to buy the materials you used please? Loved the DIY and would love to try it.
The video should been called “Couple that work together , stay together” . The whole job seems quick and easy while watching it :)
This migth be the nicest thing ive ever read! Thank you so much for your comment!❤️
I really like this clever idea! Don’t have to cost a lot and get large vision of inside of the house. 👍🏻
Thank you for watching!
It looks great!! I’m curious to know how will you remove it if you ever move?

At first I thought it was a window or door I to another room. Really awesome idea.
That looks gorgeous!!
Thanks a lot!
Thank you soo much for sharing! Looks fantastic. Please can you link the items used.
* This might be a stupid question, I don’t know 🤷♀️ anything about DIY stuff so sorry if it’s dumb! Can it be used in a walk in bathroom shower 🚿 stall? Mine is made with 8” wide cinder blocks 🧱 that’s not even tiled, painted, plastered or anything!
Great idea 💡
I love it and the "team work" was amazing!!! 👏👏
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!
Omg, this is so good, I used to work at Ikea and I saw LOTS like, everyday, but I never thought about this. I want to do this, but I'm in rental and don't now for how long, so I provavly shouldn't do it. :( but... I want
Hey thanks for the video. I was quoted $1500 for a full length mirror for a small apartment I have. No chance in that. I'll get on to these mirrors at IKEA immediately.
Wow! This is so creative and well done! 😍✨
Thank you so much😍🙌🏻
I’ve put these up on a wall right next to each other and I’ve gotten the funhouse effect. Did you get that at all?
Look nice but what you paint put over it?
nice sunset at the back
Wow i love it!!!!!! Like the windows in this old beautifull villas....🌹🌸🌷☘️❤️
wowsa i luvjow you have done this well done its stunning
I sooo love it. I love the result. Thanks for this video.
So nice!
Excellent work and outcome! I am just wondering about being able to remove it... I honestly love that it is not on a ply wood, however, what about taking it down?
Planning on doing this project! But would use plywood as the base instead of directly to the wall. Wish me luck! Cleaning it must be a bit annoying though lol
Excellent idea :)
I'd glue the wood / wood batten to hold the glass rather than glue the glass to wall, just in case if I need to replace it
really useful!!! more lights & more space
That wall is just beautiful. I just love it ❤
Very good idea and job !
Thank you for your kind words!
That was the perfect place , executed perfectly , well done
Amazing!!!!!! been waiting to do this grid mirror for a while so happy for your titurial.
Great job 💯💕
Looks great, but why could you not have put something to cover the cement?
Nice job,looks superb..........
Thank you!
looks beautiful! but I would stick a thin wooden MDF board on behind, and drill it to the wall, I feel those mirrors are not so stable at the moment
has this been holding up well since you put it up?
is it possible to do without the molding? I like the look of no edge around the mirrors
That's lovely ...great Job👍👍
Absolutely gorgeous and adds such nice feeling to the room.
This was so satisfying 😊👏🏼
Im so happy you like it! 😃
Looks official 👍🏼
So dope! Kudos to you guys for doing this hack successfully.❤️
What da.......?? It looks like a door or window! It really opened up that wall.
Wow * slow clap *
Wow so beautiful 😍
This is a brilliant and beautiful project!!
Are you sure you used quarter rounds? The quarter rounds I looked at in the store wouldn’t sit nicely against the wall. There would be a lip/or gap on one of the sides of the wood.
The corner facing the wall i planed, Dm us on Instagram and il show you a picture 🙂
instagram.com/homeofrith/
Nce job! How many mm is the quarter moldings?? :)
Brilliant...
The glue used to adhere the mirrors to the wall..???
And the glue used to adhere the molding to the mirror ..?
PL200, a universal construction glue from Casco that works on all materials.
The brand of the glue is less importent. Just make sure the glue is of construction grade and works for glass and you should be fine!
Good luck! ☺️
ALL I CAN SAY BLOODY AMAZING👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Absolutely gorgeous!
How did you get the mirror to stick to the wall? Are they self adhesive?
Hey, I am just curious on the quarter round moulding, does it mean that one section is rounded and the other end becomes flat?
Cut on a 45°
Such a cool project! Added a little life and light to our home! Thank you for sharing!
