How does the Knowledge Retrieval part work? I guess I need to build a dataset for retrieving?
LLM can retrieve knowledge from dataset you uploaded to the plaform (Cloud edition). Check our documentation for more detail please docs.dify.ai/features/datasets.

Is this open source?
fake apache 2.0 licensed project (due to the added verbiage) - This is not open source software so you should stop pretending it is. You should change to a proprietary license and stop deceiving people.

Sorry to be the one to tell you but you’re not correct (from a code and development perspective). If you can see their source code, they are open source.
The “fake” part isn’t them, it’s you. If you are trying to just repackage what they worked hard at building, launching their own product to compete against them… you are the only “fake” part of the equation.
Learn to code, build something better, then open source it MIT… otherwise take a seat and ponder on the quote “it’s better to remain silent and thought a fool, than to speak up and remove all doubt”.
