    I have been dipping my lures in KBS clear diamond finish and could not be happier. I have never had a problem with it. The results have been wonderful every time.

    Yikes! Your KBS yellowed. Time to get a new batch. I love this stuff. It coats practically anything, with a thickness between a two-part resin and a polyurethane right out of the can. It's finicky with storage and skinning, as you mentioned, but moreover it has different curing time based on current humidity levels. I can't imagine it working well in parts of Arizona or Nevada.

    Watched your video, great info. I wanted to share an idea with you for storing your KBR in Mason jars. You can use a vacuum sealer and get all the air out. I'm adding a link to the device, I use it on my stuff to include food items. My KBR is over 2 years old and it's as good as the first use.

    • @billclements8777

      I tested mine several times, ive got one jar that I used everyday for about 2 weeks, then sealed and left for 3 months. When I opened it, it was just like the first day out of the can. No skin, perfect condition.

    How do I put flakes on the bait. What I’m trying to do it make them sparkly with out a pearl paint. Do I need a flake gun. What I tried was an epoxy but doesn’t look good. So I’m hoping you can help me

    • @BlindSymmetryLurePainting

      You can put some KBS clear diamond finish in a medicine cup and add flakes,glitter, then brush on.
      Flex Coat has a great lure epoxy gel coat kit that comes with a type of mica crystal that has a really nice flash.
      For metalic and pearl paints, I use a 0.5mm airbrush.

    • @BlindSymmetryLurePainting
      @BlindSymmetryLurePainting  2 года назад +1

      I only do what I show in the video. If it's getting thick, air is getting in. I only use zip lock bags to cover my jar. Cling wrap ends up with to many folds and crevas's where air could seep into the jar.

    Do the baits get hook rash while fishing? We've been looking into a new clear coat and dipping the baits to prevent hook rash on the belly of the lures.

    • @BlindSymmetryLurePainting
      @BlindSymmetryLurePainting  2 года назад +1

      Compared to a store bought lure, the KBS holds up much better but, they can still hook rash. I store only 2 lures in a slot, inside a Plano box at a time to minimize hook rash. Thank for checking out our channel.

    Ever try to put the can of KBS into a vacuum chamber to remove the bubbles? I’m wondering if this would mess up the rest of the can.

    • @BlindSymmetryLurePainting
      @BlindSymmetryLurePainting  Год назад +1

      I'm sure that would work as long as the lid is off. But if your are careful not to introduce to many bubbles you shouldn't need to use a vac chamber. A small amount of bubbles usually dissappear. Check out my new KBS video and thanks for watching T-guns

    • @BlindSymmetryLurePainting
      @BlindSymmetryLurePainting  2 года назад +2

      Tested the swimbait coated in KBS spray clear and got caught a 2+ lb pickerel and got a few scratches but, considering how sharp the teeth are, it's a given that they'll destroy any clear coat. KBs spray will definitely hold up pretty well 👍👍👍
