Wes, you are an excellent American English teacher that I have met so far. You paid a tremendous effort to prepare your lessons that I highly appreciate. I have been learning a lot so far from you because American English is not easy for those who were not born in the U.S. It is full of cultural expressions, pronunciations and irregular grammar rules. Nonetheless, you did an amazing job with these areas. Sometimes, I found you a little bit of self deprecating. You are really great American English teacher. You don't deserve any negative emotion about yourself because you really help the foreigners. Keep producing new videos for us. God bless you and your family.
Great job bringing together the different aspects of speech music that make English so challenging...and yet so fun and irresistible! I love doing that kind of experiential lesson with spoken English as well. Rather than lecturing about it, briefly describe it....and mostly SHOW it.
Been drilling accent reduction and American dialects for quite a while and this video lesson definitely fits like a glove. Thanks a lot, Wes. Stay awesome 👊🏻
Thank you Wes. Great lesson I really love everything has been made for Christmas but Christmas holds dismal memories for me as I lost my longtime best friend on this season last year.
Hey, Wes Nothing to do with this video...I was watching collocation video and you made me laugh...I need you to (do) me a favor.. and you gave us the answer. Thx. It was fun. Hope you've had Merry Christmas 🎅
I was surprised when I could take a look on your video because I thought your lesson will be about Christmas. Then I recognized how well you interlaced your pronunciation lesson with a Christmas song! I wish you (and your kind family) Merry Christmas. The weather forecast foreshown white Christmas here but you wouldn't think of it experiencing the actual weather. We'll see. I wish you and Ioana together with your little Emi a wonderful time!
4:16: "And that means that the time between one stressed syllable and the next are approximately the same." ARE? The subject here is "time," which is singular and requires IS. How is it an expert like this doesn't hear that? I fought for decades to get students and colleagues to understand that objects of prepositions ("between...syllable and next") are NEVER the subject of the sentence. It's a common error now, but this guy is a linguist, no?
