Sure you can, which is what most do. Just receive the notifications from your visitors and be able to respond. I strongly recommend the use of the module for recording but that's it.
All I want to know is, Is the sync module a substitution for a paid cloud based service? I don't want to pay a monthly subscription and would like to collect all the data on a USB drive locally.
Yes that is correct. The Sync Module is your way of storing clips locally at your home/office. Very different to Ring which it's only option is a cloud based service. Remember that for this module ( amzn.to/3UB3goz ) you need to get a USB flash drive. Take a look at our video: ruclips.net/video/fohbNdMY8eg/видео.htmlsi=tDYPmvT0SSodoDN6
i got the blink camera doorbell bc the model had an option for wired power (not battery only) and local storage. didnt realize local storage meant getting another device to connect to. so the doorbell would use the wifi and save recording onto the sync module? and then if i need to pull footage i can just connect a USB drive to it and download footage onto it correct? if its thats simple then maybe ill just grab a doorbell + module.
from what I understand, that is how it works. I am not sure however if the sync module itself needs to be wired into the camera via usb or if it is wireless as well, which I do think is the case.... if I am understanding it correctly, the sync module wirelessly connects with all your blink cameras and stores video, and it may act as a wifi repeater for the cameras as well...
No, you can configure any echo device or Blink minis ( amzn.to/3jD2RBM ) to act as chimes. Take a look at our Video: ruclips.net/video/QdYQtz63zow/видео.htmlsi=wG4AdaldCrHL1ltZ
Can I use the blink module two without the Internet? And still access the camera from my phone using the module two? What I'd really like to do is be able to take a camera when I go camping and film any wildlife that hangs around my RV at night and look at the footage later. Can I do that with this system?
For what you're saying I would go for a higher quality image and recording option such as the Galayou 2k cams (amzn.to/3YhCZgO ) which will record directly in their SD cards 24/7 at a much higher quality. They will even record without WiFi connection. Another option is a solar powered camera such as the AOSU which we've also enjoyed using. (amzn.to/3Yd7swn )
I would say yes, for the three main reasons it exists. Optimizes battery duration of wireless devices, let´s you have instant live view of the Blink Video Doorbell, and not less important, let's you store locally independent from the cloud if you decide.
Well more than that we like to test and see if what's said is true. You'd be surprised what we've seen about that. If you want more details please visit our full tests here: ruclips.net/video/fohbNdMY8eg/видео.htmlsi=ahBeEYqeejxnMjap and also ruclips.net/video/eLITbjaC2eM/видео.html
I found one of these hidden in my room and I thought it was a tracker and I got so scared so I searched up what it was and it was a thing for a camera. I’m scared.
lol, nothing to worry, no GPS, no batteries, just a very simple piece of hardware. It records only when connected and USB plugged in. Have a great day!
Sorry about that, this videos was just intended to state the basec aspects. Our other video of our main channel might give you a better idea of what it does, and how it works: ruclips.net/video/fohbNdMY8eg/видео.html
The light as bright as heck
I know this might be a dumb question, but can i use the door bell without the module?, just with the subscription?, please let me know.. thanks.
That’s my question too 😂😂😂😂

@@GadgetsOfTM thanks a lot for answering this question!.
@@GadgetsOfTMNow the video is complete 😁

Does the synch to have chime that should play when doorbell rings?
No, you can configure any echo device or Blink minis ( amzn.to/3jD2RBM ) to act as chimes. Take a look at our Video: ruclips.net/video/QdYQtz63zow/видео.htmlsi=wG4AdaldCrHL1ltZ
Your video answered all of my questions about this device. Thank you for the simple but very informative video.
Does the sync model really save on battery life or is it minor? Would like to avoid changing the battery as much as possible.
I would not be able to notice as battery duration on Blink cameras and ring video doorbells is so erratic. Same is reported by others.
does it have to be wired to the camera or is it wireless connection?
Full wireless. One of the advantages of Blink devices. Not the best image quality though.
So I need this to use live view???
No you don't you can use live view without the module. I would recommend you to watch this video: ruclips.net/video/A0g074Jrx20/видео.html
Does the module have to be connected to the blink to record?
They do have to be in the same network, not directly connected, but converging to the same WiFi network does not have to be the same AP or router.
Do I need an module for each item I add?
Hi, we have four, but a module can support up to 10 cameras.
Hi I have 2 questions. #1 Can I connect 2 blink video doorbells to one sync module 2. #2 Will this allow "live" viewing?
Sure you can add up to 10 cameras to a single module, and it will keep your live view active.

@@GadgetsOfTM Thanks!
Can I have more than one sync module 2?
Yes you can, and assign different cameras to each. They are called systems
Hi, do you actually need the sync module?
I would say yes, for the three main reasons it exists. Optimizes battery duration of wireless devices, let´s you have instant live view of the Blink Video Doorbell, and not less important, let's you store locally independent from the cloud if you decide.
Does it have to be plugged up 24/7?
@GadgetsOfTM I don't understand what you mean by "let's you have instant live view". Isn't that what the blink app does anyway?
So all the cameras report their recordings to a physical midule as long as there is wifi?
Correct
This didn't help at all. All you did was read the highlights from the blink info page. Maybe show how the thing works and what it actually does.

So this isn't a mifi?
Whats the solution for if we dont know the primary account whenever we try it always show this has been already been registered
You should try contacting directly Blilnk support.blinkforhome.com/es_ES/contacto-el-soporte of course you may have to say you are in the U.S.

So all we need is one, for as many cameras as we want
We've used it for only three and has worked great. The manufacturer claims it supports up to ten but of course that depends on how good your WiFi is.
Should just use an sd card
Thanks for telling me nothing about it.
