"Take Five" is a jazz piece written by Paul Desmond and first recorded by The Dave Brubeck Quartet on their 1959 album Time Out. Dave Brubeck organized the Dave Brubeck Quartet in 1951, with Paul Desmond on alto saxophone. They took up a long residency at San Francisco, where Paul Desmond was originally from.
This piano version is by itself a class act in its own right.
