- In today's minecraft mod showcase we start a small series reviewing everything you need to know about the mana and artifice mod for 1.16.5. It's basically the successor of an old mod called Ars Magica and it's being developed by the same mod creator. This massive magic mod adds in some really awesome rituals, a ton of useful and powerful spells, factions with many new epic structures and mobs, custom magic robots that can do a bunch of tasks for you, and so much more.
Note: There was an Alpha 1.18.1 update Mana and Artifice while I was working on this showcase. Don't worry there hasn't been any major changes that would make this video useless and I'll cover the new things added to the 1.18.1 version in part 2. Also I have heard that everything being added to 1.18 will also be added to 1.16.5 later :)

Hope everyone enjoyed part 1 of this showcase! :D Part 2 should be coming really soon, especially since I'm almost done with :) Also sorry it's taking me so long, it's a really huge mod XD One more thing, the 1.18 version of this mod came out, but fortunately not much has changed except for some textures, a few new items, and some smaller new features.
This is the first showcase I’ve seen of the updated version of the mod on 1.16.5. Everyone else did it before the update so this is very helpful!

The weird language is mostly latin and faux latin that would translate fairly literally into descriptions of the things they're associated with.
Take, quadratum. That would plainly mean something like square or rectangle while oculus means something akin to "eye," and so on.
English writers have been using latin for a mystical sounding language for more than a century, at least.
Oh interesting, I knew they weren't made up words, but I didn't notice it was Latin. Also yeah I have noticed that Latin is used in a lot of magic stuff, one example I've noticed is Harry Potter and some of the spell names. Anyway thanks for the information, wouldn't have known without the comment! :D

Don't worry you're not late lol. Not too much happened while you were gone. After the camping mod I decided to do a Christmas special, I failed to make the third episode of the Christmas special. So then I decided to work on this showcase which took me a few months and then decided to split the original showcase in two because it was way too long XD
can I use "give" to give myself a spell?
