Hey! Unfortunately, I cannot talk about it right now but will do so in the future… lol but long story short.. it’s not happening anymore. I apologize for the inconvenience!
Dude, I own a ton of expired lip products and wear them proudly. Unless it smells off or changes texture, no shame in my game. I’d love this as a series!
Most expiration dates are suggested best by dates. In other words, if you are storing them in dry, cool places, useing clean tools, sanitizing occasionally, products last much longer than you would think. My personal take on it.. companies want you to repurchase. 💵🤑 I use the common sense approach.
Take into consideration how nasty some people are. Using the same beauty sponge for a year + without ever washing it, not applying makeup to a clean face, not ever washing their brushes or just using dirty fingers directly in the pan. Then the best by dates make a bit more sense to me lol

"I'm just an everyday b**** just like you - I just have the balls to put myself on the internet and make a f***** fool of myself... " and we love you for it! Also, you are NO fool. You're a beauty consumer and collector who knows her shiz!
Love your collection and organization. I recently found an unopened Avon chapstick that had a tiny calendar as the design, from 2002! It actually smelled fine when I opened it, but didn't chance using it...OK, not more than once 😂
Great inspiration! I'm a rubbish de-clutterer, and I need to be encouraged to throw things out if they're not working anymore, keep using things that are still good, and not keep buying new things just for the sake of it!
I don’t use expired products on my clients, but I use MANY expired products on myself for my Instagram live applications. I don’t review products and the makeup I’ve brought into my collection is carefully selected. I have powder products 10+ years old that still perform in beautiful ways.
I haven’t used mine yet! It was gifted to me, but I’m trying to hit pan on TF Sweetie Pie Bronzer. It’s been a work in progress for 3 year now. Moving into the 4th year. 😩 good thing I love it 😂.
Do you remember the SWAMP QUEEN palette? I hit pan on that on so many colors. Loves that palette. Wasn't she a creator? I wasn't into you tube back then but I remember how much I loved that palette.
Please do this regularly. The products may have degraded a bit, but also, products that stood out a few years ago may be more lackluster compared to what we get now. The highlighters may have seemed more blinding compared to others at the time, but highlighters available now have new pigments with more shine, shiftier, more bang.
I loved this little shop my stash with a twist. I'd love to see it regularly. You're also convincing me to dig to the bottom of my very cluttered drawers and give a second chance to my old stuff.
What is a fun concept! Thanks for risking your face for content 😂 I enjoy your more unique commentary + makeup application videos. (This is also me asking for another unpopular opinions or clown purchases vid if possible lol).
i love revisiting older makeup! i have a lot of expired powdered products, but they still work, so i’m all for this being a regular thing… if you wanna borrow my subculture let me know 🤭 i have a few palette graveyard shades, esp from when i began depotting. i’m sure i have something 10 years old, and it should be probably be tossed
Aw, I just watched that Beauty Con haul video from like 6 years ago. Probably your third video made or something. Your mom bought that Tarte x Aspyn Ovard pallette for you and herself! You didn't dig it then, either, but your Mama bought it for you. I'm so glad you still have it! 😊
My favorite foundation was Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme foundation. It came in a really nice, heavy jar. It had a mousse texture. I absolutely loved it which meant that Revlon had to discontinue it, of course. When it was getting harder to find, I stocked up. I bought like 4 jars. I'm half embarrassed to admit that I'm still using it. The jars have not been opened. When I open a new jar, I inspect it and give it a good sniff. I'm going to keep using it because I haven't found anything that I like as much. I've tried lots and lots of foundations trying to find a suitable replacement, both high end and drugstore. I'm always disappointed. Then I go back to the Revlon in a jar and I'm like, oh yeah, this is it. This is perfection. Not just the formula but the shade match too. Today's foundations are always so yellow. This was perfectly neutral.
I have a baked blush on a terracotta pottery disc from The Body Shop that's prettier than anything I've ever bought since. It's so very old. But it looks and behaves exactly the same as the day I bought it. That's my criteria. Unless it's mascara, if the product hasn't changed in any way, I will keep using it. It's not just about money. Sometimes it's about an awesome product you can't replace.
So happy someone else keeps and still loves her ‘antique’ makeup while fully enjoying the new. Your humor is so good and channel is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cheers 🥂
VERY late to the game, I know, but I just picked up the same three CoverFX blushes you have and I don't think I'll ever throw them out. They're beautiful. And YES to that Marc Jacobs highlighter!
Would love to see this as an ongoing series - I actually started an inventory list for my collection and most of what I have for palettes and blushes are discontinued. Trying to note what I spent, too, as a way to stop myself from buying which has helped, too. I’d love to see a video featuring your favorite colorful & limited edition items since many sell out and don’t come back. Btw the final eye look with the pop of green is gorgeous!
Lol I used to smoke Virginia Slims, and everyone used to laugh about it until they needed to bum one, and then they were like "oh wait, these aren't that bad." Yeah! Laugh it up!! 😅
I swatched that tarte eyeshadow palette in ulta and wanted it just from touching it and seeing how pigmented it was. Plus, it was like buttery smooth. I was like I'll wait and get it later and then missed out on it. I've had fomo ever since bc everyone loved it, and it's totally my color story jam. Oh by the way u have a 3rd reason to hold on to that palette. MaMa Mel Thompson loved that palette so much it was her Holy Grail. Where she even somehow got a bk up somehow after it wasn't around anymore, I think I remember that. Anyways, she always talked about how much she loved it. She was so excited when they later came out with that larger palette with the same color story that looked like they were trying to give us a recreated version. It just didn't have a blush or highlighter.
One of my biggest makeup regrets is not buying that GD Aspyn Ovard pallette. Also. I wonder if these items would be better with constant use. The hot chocolate bronzer and Marc Jacobs highlighter are two of my most used products and mine still perform like new. 🧐
Cannot see that Aspyn Ovard palette without thinking of our Miss Mel. If I encountered one in a discount bin somewhere I would so get it in memory of her. This video was hysterical my Queen ❤
Yes! Do this again!!! If you still had the sweet peach collection, that’d be fun. (I still love it!), or even pull out that Cookie highlighter. Remember how everyone loved it! I used it recently and it seemed so thick and metallic. So many better formulas since then. Or is mine old? Anyways I love seeing those old products in action!
I love this idea. I started learning how to use makeup during the pandemic so a lot of my stuff is from 2020. Can't believe that it's already been 4 years. I should go do this myself 😂
a Lancome light coverage foundation is probably my oldest product. It is OLD! I'm pretty sure that line was reformulated or something and still has no bad smell. I kept it because is my color! without adjusting anything, so I use it as reference when I go for foundation
I would love to see more of these videos! Also, I always thought you were nuts to hate that Tarte palette and further nuts for loving that Too Faced bronzer. LOL

I have a super small collection and I did a deep declutter in 2022 and replaced most of my stuff, so i only have 1 product older than 2yrs (it is 3yrs old). But before that I did have products that were at least 4 or 5 years old.

I have bought my first real eyeshadow palette at the end of February 2018 (so almost like your anniversary 😄), it was the Urban Decay Basquiat (the colourful one) and I still have it because of the art work. I am moving house and put away all my other 50 palettes and only have Huda Beauty left and that Basquiat palette and I wanted green the other day, so I used it, and it was still performing quite well. So yeah, 6 years later, no eye infection.
The oldest makeup product I have that I have used regularity the whole time is this Tarte Pro-Glow to Go palette from 2015. It has a bronzer and two highlights, and even today when I used it it still smells like yummy vanilla. It’s kind of creepy that it’s still good.
My oldest makeup products are: the Brown Sugar palette from ColourPop, Good Sport, an old face palette from Black Radiance. The brown sugar palette still works great. Not sure about the others. Oh, the lipsticks from that collection haven't gone bad on me either, which is surprising.
Oldest product I have is one of the very first profusion eyeshadow palettes that I picked up at Ross when I was 17 years old. Not sure if it's any good anymore but that was before perfusion ever became like anything.
I also proudly use powder products well beyond the Best Before date and instead check for formula changes or hitting pan. You will pry my limited edition, original Clionadh palettes with hand painted packaging from my cold dead hands

A masterclass demonstration as to why we need preservatives in makeup. Won’t be able to do this with clean beauty in a few years 😢

Why my clean beauty phase started and ended within less than a year lol
Be careful hon, I just saw a girl get a super bad eye infection with Cellulitis from her old Kat Von De Coffin Palette.
