Beautiful and Bothered mentioned that Colourpop seems to outsource their collab productions, so it doesn't have the good formula that the in-house shadows have.

If you don't watch the B&B boys talk shit about bad makeup and squeal over good makeup, I highly recommend them. They got them industry contacts.

As someone who couldn't be more disinterested in luxury and high end make up brands or content focused on that; I still adore that podcast. They are onto a good thing if they have me watching considering my interests. I love Johnny and Kevin, they're so entertaining.

Every person I've ever met who seemed to not need therapy? Give it a few years & they've burned themselves out - perfectionists who managed to make the best of things until their issues snuck up on them. Everyone should go for at least a couple months!! Get the pent-up garbage out of your system so you're not going out into the world & taking your issues out on others, lolol

DUDE!!! Elf foundations do me dirty every damn time. The new satin finish one tricked me. It looked gorgeous when I first applied it. I went to work & within an hour it had sunk in every pore, fine line & piece of texture on my face. By hour 2 it was breaking up. I couldn’t get home fast enough to wash my face. That green primer is a product of satan himself. Jelly pop is amazing & thats about it. I’m oily/combo btw, I don’t think their foundations work for anyone lmao!🤣😅

The ELF "Hydrating CC Cream" looked nice right after I applied it, and then half an hour later it was showing me lines I never knew I even had! It's an unflattering full coverage foundation, no idea why they called it a "CC cream".
I'm fine with both!
I do like the separation of drugstore and high end whether or not it's going to be two videos ✨

Wow! First review I’ve ever seen of someone not fawning over Elf Power Grip. I have been budgeting for my next makeup trip at Ulta and I definitely was planning to get that- but after hearing that this stuff makes everything feel tacky… there’s no way. Thank you for the honest review❤
I would prefer 2 videos, but not drugstore vs high-end, because I want to hear your honest opinion of when either is better than the other. And I can't help staring at your eye look while watching. So beautiful. That lid shade is amazing. What is it? Love your videos!

Can I just say that the shirt you are wearing in this video is everything? I think it suits you so well too, with the red sequin accents that are glam but not overbearing! LOL oh yeah, this has been going on for awhile -- every video I drop like 20-50 subs -- then I will get them back.. and then I will drop them again. So yeah it's either RUclips fucking me or people just being over me.

My worst product was…. Eek I’m scared…. Rare Beauty luminous blushes!! The bahstids! Loved the shades, loved the luminosity, but the longevity was non-existent! Before I left the house, from stunning to gone in 15 minutes 😢
Your description of those Pat McGrath shimmers was exactly why I didn't buy them, something told me if I bought them, things wouldn't end well!

Love your reviews. Jen luvs mentioned you as one of the only influencers who actually does reviews anymore. I hated the nyx duck lips quiet opening the package sent a wave of burning to my lips.

I’m on a makeup no buy so I appreciate these types of videos lol. My worst 2024 makeup purchases were the elf poreless primer and the cover girl powder (sorry lol), I bought them to help with pores but one did nothing, and the other one created more texture on my face. I guess I’ll just continue to skip both primer and powder lol. I also tried 2 metallic eyeliners that sucked, but got into colored eyeliners because of you. I think I’ll just stick to red and purple though.
Patchy doesn’t sound good, but I still want to try the essence cover girl foundation. 😅 I have the milk makeup blush and I really like it, I’ll have to look out for the spots lol.
The elf poreless primer was a strikeout for me, too. So disappointed.

I really love watching those kind of videos you do about worst or best makeup or follow up. Also, thank you for being honest about Ensley Reign. I almost placed a big order this weekend because I watched so many BG who raved about this brand and eyeshadow palettes but they received all the collections in PR. I found it sus so I waited and decided to not place an order. So glad I didn't because I have very sensitive eyes and I'm 100% sure my eyes/eyelids would reacted like yours. I know you're really busy with work but if you have time I'll like to see a video about mid makeup of 2024 :).

wrt ensley reign using AI-generated artwork for their palette art etc: i KNEW there was something uncanny about it, but was like "they wouldn't have the audacity to have an image generator sneeze out some pictures rather than paying an artist or graphic designer, right? right???"
I think split by category for favorites. Skin things: primer, concealer, foundation, setting powder vs color products: eyeshadow, blush, highlighter bronzer
While I am loved, I think my user name says a hell of a lot on it's own. The fact that I've used it continually since 2001 says even more. 🙃
My sister and I are both fueled by spite and caffeine.
I actually really like that grey-toned Sephora contour. I use it in conjunction with the lightest Fenty Contour Match Stix and the result works so well for my fair skin tone.

I'm decluttering makeup to my mom and some of them are stuff that didn't work for me. They're not too bad but they're my worst things.
The ELF Putty blush in Bali has no pigment, I don't know how people get any color out of them. It won't go on the brush or on my finger or on my face.
I also parted with my Colourpop Sweet Talk palette because it kept pulling orange on me.
I love long videos so I'd prefer all the best makeup in one video!
I find it really useful that you have the complete opposite skin type to me, so I just go "Ooooh, maybe I should try that" when you start shit talking a foundation.
Also, pro-tip - I can't get Rituel de Fille Thorn Oil in my county (they won't ship it here either). However, they do make the best rosehip oil in the world here, and that's the primary component of the Thorn Oil. Still wish I could get the cool looking bottle, but pure Trilogy rosehip oil is even better.
"It makes me look dirty. It makes me look like I've been kooking at tail pipes all day and then exhaust bursts in my face. It never looks quite right and the longevity is complete garbage" 🤣🤣🤣 I really needed a great laugh after today!
Ohh no! That's so sad that you had such a bad reaction to the Ensley Reign eyeshadow. 😢 Makes me nervous because I've been eying them to try that palette and few others, but can have sensitive eyes too.
I got the CT face palette as a gift and I was sad at it for all the same reasons.
CG seemed to let down a lot of folks so I didn’t even try it. Both the Chanel WFT and Complexion Touch are phenomenal and I use points at Ulta to pick them up.
I like the Milk stain applied with a brush. It is my gym cheek product for when I’m foundation-free; it is fun but not an HG.

I really love the danessa Kuricks lowlighters because they aren’t crazy pigmented, so they look MUCH more natural on my pale skin. And the upsalite in them is awesome for oily/textured skin

OMG!! Ive had the same issue with shimmer eyeshadows before. It was a purchase from a Chinese makeup brand but one that was not as reputable as others (not that I knew that. I was too new to makeup and the shimmers were stunning). Same as yours, they took a number of hours before I started experiencing eye irritation and when retrying to see if it was the shadows, it was nothing but burning, pain, weird texture and sensitivity for days/weeks afterwards. Awful stuff

Extra comforters … clothes on hangers that I didn’t even realize I was missing….. A carry-on suitcase that I couldn’t find when I needed it last year so I had to go out and buy another one…. I swore it was in the basement, but it wasn’t.😮 it was buried in the closet.
As I was saying, this was just my closet and it was overwhelming never mind the rest of the house ..

I literally saw my Elf power grip primer and said to myself "Self, why don't you use this?" So I used it and am now stuck on a 12 hour shift with a sticky and dry face!

I don't care for the Milk jelly things as a blush but i love them as lipstains. Maybe it is a texture thing, the jelly feels great on the lips, the color and lasting power is nice too.
Yeah, the elf hydrating cc def needs hydrating toners and facial oil beneath... dry as heck on its own. But it reminds me of Korean cushion texture if you can get the prep right.

I’m so sad you can’t wear the Ensley Reign shadows. Some of them are truly special. But I would not wear them either if they bothered my eyes. I can’t believe the milk jelly blush is that bad. Everybody at first loved it, however that happens a lot. Which is why I usually wait to see if a new product ends up in anybody bad list.
