Thanks for sharing. I'm curious about a few things. What is the advantage of having adult family members on one account if you need a QR for each? Seems akin to the immigration/customs card for the family but with the multiple QR codes. 🤔 Also, we were in Japan in 2019 and took advantage of the tax-free stuff, but my passport was loaded with receipts. Is the QR code a substitute for stapling all of the receipts to your passport? Thanks!
So the advantage is that you only need to fill out one trip and then you add everybody to that trip - so it’s merely administration. as for the Tax code I haven’t used it myself but I think it’s just to save you pulling out your passport. Tax done wherever you shop and they do have a tax checkpoint but you don’t need to produce the receipts as that’s taken care of in the shop, although it certainly doesn’t hurt to have them with you just in case of a hiccup.

Usually I don’t do it until a weekr two before but if you have your first hotel details and your flight numbers, there’s no reason why you couldn’t do it straight away. the only way you could come across a hiccup is if they change the rules about the process. It’s unlikely but it can happen but it’s not something you can’t fix when you arrive.
@laurenl169 if you do do it early you should check that there haven’t been any updates because they do require to redo it. I would probably do it in the month prior up to the week prior.

Yes, but he can go under your account so you only need to repeat the second part with his details and not the trip details - if you follow the video closely I show you where you add your travel companions.

It sounds to me like you have printed your husband‘s QR code twice-it should have separate names on the QR codes. You can always go back in and don’t forget to select the drop-down list and select your name and then access the QR code as per the video, give it a go and let me know how you go!

No, everyone has an individual code - re watch this section at about 9:50 where you click on your name drop-down, select each family member name in tun and click the generate qr code button. Screenshot each code.

If you go to 10:04 change the name to your husband via a drop-down. If you can’t see his name you need to go back to adding family members on your trip registration. Fill in his details. Generate him a different QR Code.

@mherssantos7794 no you will need to do whatever the Philippines system is, but if you are a citizen you don’t need to worry - they can work any problem out at the airport. 😊 There is usually a customs declaration arrival card given out on flights.

You can, but then you don’t know if there have been any new updates during the interim

All you have to do is register your last flight - don’t worry about the other flights that connect prior 😊

As long as you are together it is fine to have them on one phone, however I would send his to his phone just in case you are sent to separate officers

Hello, I landed at Terminal 2 and had to fill out another declaration form when I got to Terminal 1.
You can just do that instead- a bit slower though

Yes because you need to fill out customs clearance for everyone so they get their own QR code.

I always put the very last point of embarkation so I would put Abu Dhabi in this case

They will direct you to a counter to fill in a manual form or you can stand around to do the online form.

Yes - theoretically you could do it when you land if you have wifi, but it’s much better to do it before you go so you’re ready for customs

Yes now they have gone fully digital - you can do it when you arrive but you still have to go through the same process online

Because it recreates different ones everytime. Probably expired. We should know how to use it offline creating QR codes at airport
