i feel like a lot of people don't really know this after getting a rebond or a perm (maybe you know, but just in case). i've been getting a rebond for around 3 years now and this is what the hairdresser told me: 1. don't wash/wet any part of your hair for 2-3 days after getting it done -avoid sweating, the rain, anything wet 2. don't tie your hair for a week or so -it can change the form/add unwanted texture to your hair -you can tie it briefly e.g. when washing your face, but take it out right away 3. don't tuck your hair behind your ear -same reason as number 2 -leave it how you want it to look after washing it (where the hair reveal comes out) not a hair specialist or anything lol, but just some tips people may find useful if they're interested in getting hair treatment

i’m guessing you’re on the younger side… botox isn’t instant it numbs your muscles, and it prevents you from using those muscles; therefore, making it smaller eventually. botox is also made as a medical procedure to treat other aches such as migraines first. it’s “normalized” for a reason… lmfao

Tbh I personally like how it’s okay in korea to care about your appearance, keep up with it and feel comfortable with it. I grew up in the US and a lot of people here just straight up do not like their own appearance, and that affects their mentality in a big way. And the sad thing, it is considered vain here to care about the appearance, or shameful if you want to change something about it to make yourself more comfortable with it. You honestly can’t even look in the mirror for a long time in the US without being judged. In Korea , I saw how a lot of people cared about looking presentable to others, and there was no shame in pulling out phones or mirrors to check their hair or makeup in public, and becoming comfortable in your own clothing style, appearance, was encouraged. We only have one life. And I hate when people lie that appearances don’t matter and we should “love ourself.” I have seen more cases of pretty privilege happening in the US and the west in general, than in Korea., When koreans come overseas, I hear a lot of comments saying how they look clean, fashionable and representable. Your looks are your first impression. It’s okay to care about it. I really liked that about Korea

It is just so.sad that you've to go through this, like literally broooooooooo you're so beautiful, you're so much better and prettier but this the thing in south Korea is literally traumatizing and blessings at the same time, nevertheless I would've done the same cz I've monolid, acj.... I've been telling to my friends that if I were to be born in SK i would've got of all of these done. But you look pretty, give yourself a change, don't hurt yourself and your body, do whatever makes you happy, cz I will always gonna support you no matter what you do if it's for your happiness
Tbh I personally like how it’s okay in korea to care about your appearance, keep up with it and feel comfortable with it. I grew up in the US and a lot of people here just straight up do not like their own appearance, and that affects their mentality in a big way. And the sad thing, it is considered vain here to care about the appearance, or shameful if you want to change something about it to make yourself more comfortable with it. You honestly can’t even look in the mirror for a long time in the US without being judged. In Korea , I saw how a lot of people cared about looking presentable to others, and there was no shame in pulling out phones or mirrors to check their hair or makeup in public, and becoming comfortable in your own clothing style, appearance, was encouraged. We only have one life. And I hate when people lie that appearances don’t matter and we should “love ourself.” I have seen more cases of pretty privilege happening in the US and the west in general, than in Korea., When koreans come overseas, I hear a lot of comments saying how they look clean, fashionable and representable. Your looks are your first impression. It’s okay to care about it. I really liked that about Korea

@@cheetoh-jw2xi However it is crystal clear even to koreans themselves that they care TOO much about how they look. It’s good to care about how you present yourself but they are on the extreme end of it. It’s easy for you to say that but when you are put into this box of “what you should look like” by having all of these ridiculous beauty standards they have in korea, you’ll learn to appreciate the privilege you have in the west to care less about how you look. This is coming from an Asian person myself, wanting to get jaw surgery at 13 because the korean standard is a v-line face and rubbing lemons on myself in hopes of lightening my skin.
@@sarahy5801 yeah well there are tons of 13 year old Americans wanting boob jobs and lip fillers and frying themselves in the sun with tanning oil so I’d say the beauty standards are on the same wave length just about diff traits 🤷♀️ from what I’ve observed both American and Korean society care about looks. It’s just Americans have to pretend like we don’t, or we will be shamed into thinking we are vain or just surface level.,
