  • This is a live recording from the world premiere of " A Colour Symphony", played by "sinfonisches blasorchester wehdel"; conductor: Thomas Ratzek
What started in 2011 ended in November 2014 with an impressive success: the orchestra celebrated the world premiere of its own symphony, written by Philip Sparke, the most famous and successful composer of symphonic wind music. Already for the rehearsal, the composer from London was listening to his composition for the first time. "Thomas, you made it!" was the first comment of the impressed Englishman.
In 2016, Philip Sparke won the "National Band Association William D. Revelli Memorial Band Competition" with "A Color Symphony" in the USA

Has more movements than Bliss' version and is shorter! Very disappointing.
