Always struck me as interesting that original bossa nova (ie, Joao Gilberto) bass lines never did anything like this modern jazzy versions. Bass was a steady pulse in the note, no skips, no triplets, nothing. Anyways, lovely voice.
I figured out how to play it: Capo on 4th fret & the first chord is an F#7 strummed downwards. I tried to be as exact as possible, but I don’t really like the way she plays Dm6, so I wrote the tabs slightly differently… But if you want to play it exactly the same as her, the correct form is down below. The strumming will be the same either way. This vaguely gives me vibes of a French song about being stuck on the Alsace area of the Maginot line instead of fighting the Italians in the Southern parts of the Maginot line or Germans at Lille and Dunkirk, watching hopelessly as you are surrounded by the Germans, the only good thing remaining being the song that has brought you most comfort, this song. As well as hearing news of Italian defeat in the south. 🗿
