- This week, I venture into Great Smoky Mountains National Park where I experience an extraordinary Appalachian landscape ripe with adventure. Following some world class hiking, I set off in the Jeep to seek out Tennessee's lesser traveled forest roads and best kept secrets. This episode features more waterfalls, and some amazing skottle burgers!

Chris. Am not an expert but I truly believe you reached the peak in mastering self filming. This is truly amazing . The sequencing, mix between still shots and POV, with addition of great pictures. Mixing in people and solo sequences. Playing with focus and always with optimum contrast..... Chris this is so good! You make us travel in a Delux passenger seat! .... almost forgot: thank you and please keep on exploring. 😊

Missed watching the last two episodes due to vacation. BUT-this is my first campground with wifi so I'm sitting in my truck camper catching up with Chris while we're BOTH Overlanding. Hey man, great videos. I’ve been watching them since the beginning. You’re close to my stomping grounds now. You should swing through Pisgah NF and check out Linville Falls/gorge on Old NC105 (lots of camping spots) or the other side of the gorge and check out Table Rock and take that hike. There’s great scenery and camping out there.

I hiked that trail up LeConte and stayed overnight numerous times. Truly a wonderful place!
I spent an amazing night up at the Unaka Mountain overlook in June of 2018 and came back from there with some funny stories. One that includes a game officer waking me and the dog up in our tent at 11PM to ask me if I was selling drugs.

You should be the next spoke person for any kind of bun shop (Subway, Wendy's, etc..). Sandwiches and hamburgers everyday and twice on Sunday. I suppose you wouldn't eat anything that doesn't come with a bun. LOL
At first I thought you had an awfiul big pack for just day hikes, then I realized "oh wait I'm watching this, which means he has some bulky camera equipment". Makes sense. Fantastic views there, so nice.
this is my first video that i watch from you and at first i got say you edit different from the other overland ppl. and I honestly like the way you do it man👍 you talk short and important info i like how you show how you do all ur stuff and show around ur camping. keep doing it man great stuff.

Great Video! when you go north, make sure you explore Linville Gorge Wilderness and Mt Mitchell.....you'll love it.
I like your overland setup and the fact you have useable tires instead of gigantic tall tires that leave no room for articulation

a ton of forest service roads in Pisgah. keep in mind there are 2 parts to Pisgah, there is a part near Lake James and Linville George (a MUST SEE) and there is another part of Pisgah near Brevard. Both are awesome areas. After that you need to go to Wilson Creek, epic fishing and hiking and fun! cheers

Love your vids. As a former Special ops guy I always see things differently than average people and I am concerned about your personal safety from predators both animal and human. An Oklahoma man and the woman he was with were just attacked on the Appalachian trail in Virginia and the man was killed. They caught the bad guy. Anyway, please carry a defensive blade and even better a handgun or perhaps a close quarters shotgun in your vehicle and or on your person. And maybe get an attack beast like my Jack Russell terrier, Junior. :)
