Hi Chris My name is Stephen, I’m from the uk, may I just say I’ve been following you for a few weeks now, I’m unable to venture out into the great outdoors like yourself, as I have to look after my sick wife full time , but I can honestly say that when I watch you’re videos, it’s like I’m out there with you, please keep up the videos as it helps me escape in mind , and look forward to you’re next venture, keep it up Chris you’re so inspiring To me and lots of other people in the same position keep it up and god speed, kind regards Stephen.
Chris. Am not an expert but I truly believe you reached the peak in mastering self filming. This is truly amazing . The sequencing, mix between still shots and POV, with addition of great pictures. Mixing in people and solo sequences. Playing with focus and always with optimum contrast..... Chris this is so good! You make us travel in a Delux passenger seat! .... almost forgot: thank you and please keep on exploring. 😊
Nice job on the editing of the video. You wear me out watching all the back and forth walking you do to get the camera. Your hard work shows thru in your videos. Respect.
Missed watching the last two episodes due to vacation. BUT-this is my first campground with wifi so I'm sitting in my truck camper catching up with Chris while we're BOTH Overlanding. How cool is that! Chris, not sure if you read comments but THANK YOU for taking the time to put out the QUALITY and QUANTITY of travelog you do. You INSPIRE and FUEL my travels!

Enjoy the outdoors, hiking, camping, etc. My husband and I did what you are enjoying for over 20 years, then we both lost our health and life stopped. Thank you for sharing the video
Chris you’ve proven once again I need to get out and explore the country. Amazing water features, plenty of old structures, a photographers dream... Stay safe out there.
I love you story tell ability. Keeping it simple and personable. My wife and I are planning a two month road trip next summer and you videos bring a lot of excitement to that adventure
Thanks Chris You put a lot of extra miles on to get those great shots on the trail and the drives. That Toyota you parked next too looked like it was very well kept up
I was just in that area today! Beautiful. Great video and Jeep! Keep it up.

Hi Chris, thanks for high-quality, informative, and inspiring videos!! One more reason to look forward to the end of the week. Just making sure you're aware of the Netflix download feature... While at the library, you could download enough content to watch for the week without cellular data coverage (as long as you have sufficient on-device storage, of course). Thanks and take care!
Hey man, great videos. I’ve been watching them since the beginning. You’re close to my stomping grounds now. You should swing through Pisgah NF and check out Linville Falls/gorge on Old NC105 (lots of camping spots) or the other side of the gorge and check out Table Rock and take that hike. There’s great scenery and camping out there.
This week's episode was Epic, Chris! Those waterfalls looked great and you seemed to be having a great time. I'm looking forward to your winch install.
Another Great Video! Enjoying the journey for however long it lasts. We got to get you some mustard on the burgers though! Your travel is very inspiring.
Another awesome video of your epic adventures. The places you go to are absolutely amazing... some people have their Kardashian’s to follow, but thank god we have our Chris. Looking forward too where you take us next week, and as always safe travels Chris. 😎
Chris FWIW: BECAUSE OF YOU...I did buy a Helio-love it, and GAIA-learning it (Used your Discount link), and Garmin IN-REACH-great tool for hiking and I used the the text function for the first time today to check in with the family while I have no cel signal. You're an excellent salesman!
You should be the next spoke person for any kind of bun shop (Subway, Wendy's, etc..). Sandwiches and hamburgers everyday and twice on Sunday. I suppose you wouldn't eat anything that doesn't come with a bun. LOL
this is my first video that i watch from you and at first i got say you edit different from the other overland ppl. and I honestly like the way you do it man👍 you talk short and important info i like how you show how you do all ur stuff and show around ur camping. keep doing it man great stuff.
At first I thought you had an awfiul big pack for just day hikes, then I realized "oh wait I'm watching this, which means he has some bulky camera equipment". Makes sense. Fantastic views there, so nice.
Hey Chris. Just wanted to let you know your channel is one of my favourite 4x4 channels. I love the chilled out vibe of them and the great photography. You're in prime Trans America Trail country so plenty of back country routes. Check out Kevin'sGPS TAT site for free routes. Keep up the good work. Kev B. (UK)
i wish i had your GPS files for around the Tennessee area, you should offer them for sale, i sure would pay money for them. Good videos !! keep up the good work man!👌
As someone who lives a similar lifestyle about 8 months out of year, I really enjoy your videos. You might look at replacing your bow saw with a Silky Big Boy. If you're ever up in those mountains when a Derecho comes through, you'll wish for a chainsaw, but the Silky will get you thru. Been there done that.
Hi Chris, New to the channel. I wanted to say first of all great video. Also I live about 30 min away from Erwin. I spend a bit of time in the Cherokee national forest as well as the Smokies. Your video shows the beauty of those areas well. When ever I take pictures they seem to miss the beautiful view I see in person. Again great job and if your ever back in the area please let me know. My family and I would love to join in on a trail run with you. There always seems to be new trails to find.
Chris, If your cooking is getting boring you might want to check out original pie irons .. Coyote Works uses them on his adventures and loves them .. They work great for breakfast and well as dinner .. Check out his web site .. I look forward to your weekly videos as I work the grave yard shift in the new Sodom and Gomorrah of Portland, Oregon .. Breaks up the zombies screaming outside my building .. Thanks for your hard work and be safe ..
I spent an amazing night up at the Unaka Mountain overlook in June of 2018 and came back from there with some funny stories. One that includes a game officer waking me and the dog up in our tent at 11PM to ask me if I was selling drugs.
That burger looked so good! I suggest you checking out Almazan Kitchen. Have some napkins ready for the drool fest with all their great meals they create. Safe travels friend.
a ton of forest service roads in Pisgah. keep in mind there are 2 parts to Pisgah, there is a part near Lake James and Linville George (a MUST SEE) and there is another part of Pisgah near Brevard. Both are awesome areas. After that you need to go to Wilson Creek, epic fishing and hiking and fun! cheers
Andrews Bald looks like a much better hike than cling mans dome. The dome was crazy busy last time I was there. Was an awesome view though. Your not far from WV. Any plans for WV?
Great video! Mount LeConte is on my bucket list of places to stay. If you have a chance go to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Fyi, you're in my old stomping grounds! That looked like the Beauty Spot! Head up to Roan Mountain from Erwin. It won't disappoint.
Wished I knew in advance that you was coming through Erwin. I would have met up with you. That too breezy spot is called Beauty spot. Great videos, keep up the good work.
As many times as you get turned back by small to moderate trees, I might suggest something like a battery powered ego electric chainsaw. You won't have the fuel concerns with it that you would with a normal saw, and it's more than enough to get the job done on an intermittent basis like that. I've used the ego 14 for a while now for yard work up to 12" or so and have been pleasantly surprised. The slow charger is plenty fast enough, and probably better matched for an alternator anyway.

Watching your videos on Friday evening has become one of our favorite things to do, great job Chris.
@@freeravenadventures6925 me too, except tea.
Me too. Except hungover
I love it too, but it's usually first thing Saturday morning with a cup of coffee in hand!
Same here. Between The Grand Tour and Chris' channel, I look forward to Saturday sessions on RUclips.
With coffee on Sunday morning for myself.
I'm addicted to your videos. I love the rawness of them. No dramatic music or drone stuff. It's very real life stuff.
So very raw...medium rare even.
Stephen Gomez agreed . Peaceful . I climb into bed and put by earbuds in ..... living vicariously thu these vids . Epic Story
Brings a smile to my face everytime is see that reclaimed BBQ lid you found 😎 Another entertaining video 😎

I came to the replies just to see if anyone else noticed. It looked very clean from the glimpse we got.
Got to say I wasn’t sure when I started watching but I think there is something great about the simple way he narrates himself throughout the video
Your videographer skills are awesome!

Great video as usual. All the things I love - jeeping, hiking and burgers. Thanks
My Pastor, Lifestyle Overland and now you make up the list of people I thumbs up before I watch.
I was just in that area today! Beautiful. Great video and Jeep! Keep it up.

To get a box of cheeze it’s.

A winch. Excellent news. A great safety thing to have, a real multi use item.
They just keep getting better and better. I love that I know where you got that WEBER lid.
I agree - everytime I see that I laugh knowing where it came from. It's a great story.

I like your overland setup and the fact you have useable tires instead of gigantic tall tires that leave no room for articulation
May the 4th be with you...I love it... don't forget about revenge of the 6th!!!... lol...
